Sandy's Sports bar, Grill and Karaoke

Karaoke.... Music....Alcohol....So far, so good....Location is in the Aiea Shopping Plaza, post office side. Uhh I was so Terribly RUSTY with my singing. UGH!!! But... I didn't really care cause all I wanted to do was SCREAM INTO A MICROPHONE TO RELEASE SOME BUILT UP TENSION I HAD ACCUMULATED THESE PAST MONTHS. Place is really intimate & yet, just big enough for a crowd. So... private parties or events that you don't want other strangers barging into?! This is a good spot!Other than that, songs are a dollar each. Drinks were reasonable. $3.50-$4.00 price range for domestic & import. Anywho... see photos & I think I'm the ONLY PERSON who took a photo of the bar from the OUTSIDE. So, hope this helps. ENJOY!I only gave a 3 because we was only there for 1 1/2 hrs. Not enough time to really say... "I received EXCELLENT SERVICE & THEY WERE SUPER FRIENDLY TOO!" No.. not the case here. But DONT get me wrong... they were VERY pleasant upon arrival. And our mamasan was kind too. Just a very different vibe from what I'm used to @ STARS. But, we managed to get a photo of mama with Mike because it was his birthday, which then she invited us to return tonight for a few more rounds & his first round is on HER. So we'll see. If we do go back, my rating may increase tonight. Or decrease.Ok... maybe I catch you folks there.OK so now I'm back. Second night here with my husband. Seems like it's an awesome awesome place for him and I to go to. I think we found our new hangout spot. Reason why I say this place is awesome, is because the staff here or well the mamas here they are very kind patient and beautiful. Be very aware of this place . They are very advanced scammers. It goes like this . Sitting at bar a girl coming as companion . After while she wants drink . Ok You order a drink for her . Vodka and some tonic , a small one . After 4-5 mabe 6 drinks girl seems to be totaly sober . I tried it tasted very mild like no alcholol in it . Total bill was $277 for 4 bottles of Stella and 5-6 shots of vodka . When asked what else its on bill the answer was shot of liquer is $40 . Barman - probably owner says she explained it to You right ? No I did not even see the menu . Total rip off dont go there sneaky asian people !!!!!!!

I did not even know about this place until we were looking for a karaoke bar. Let me tell you, this place is a secret GEM! I believe its located in Aiea shopping Center. It was a Saturday night and we were pretty much the only ones there! We were able to sing karaoke all night long, eat and talk! This place is very nice! Most importantly everyone was so friendly! Our waitress was so friendly too! Karaoke is $1 per song! Food was great!!! Nacho and Kim Chee pancake was so good!!! Bathroom is clean! Lots of parking! More people needs to know about this place! Definitely great place for everyone to go sing karaoke and have a great time!

Sandy's is a neighborhood bar located in Aiea that used to be called CC"s. I've been to CC's many times but this is the first time here as Sandy's. Sandy can look kind of grumpy but as I learned she is really nice. The service was slow at times because she is doing all of the serving. The karaoke player was kind of temperamental at times. The beer was reasonably priced at $3 for most brands. We ordered the agedashi tofu, the sizzling rib eye steak and the fired chicken wings. The tofu stole the show. It is a must order with most of use saying that it is the best tofu dish we ever tasted. They use soft tofu coated with katakuriko ( potato starch), deep fried and served with a special shoyu sauce. Absolutely delicious. The steak was good but not great, we are used to CC's steak. The chicken was also good ,served while it is piping hot. We will return and try other dishes because neighborhood bars that cater to groups are harder to find these days.

DO NOT GO HERE. WOMAN WORKING THE BAR WITH PURPLE HAIR WAS INTOXICATED ON THE JOB AND MADE RUDE COMMENTS TO ME AND MY GUESTS.At first I honestly thought she was making harmless jokes, which I have nothing against, but I soon learned that was not the case.Her first comment upon viewing my friends ID was that her 'lady parts' were tighter than 95'.....okay, I laughed that off...was a little awkward, but I took it as a joke..Next she viewed my ID and my boyfriends ID since we had them placed on the bar next to each other. She spent extra time viewing my boyfriends ID, slurring words, saying something about "pink being close to red"...made absolutely no sense to me... She examined my ID and my boyfriends ID side by side then said to me "babe whyyy are you dating these losers".. *note, her speech was slurred and her actions were slow. Regardless, her demeanor was serious and she was not joking when she said this, you could just tell by her tone.My boyfriend looked at her and asked her why they were 'losers'. She responded with, " look at her ID, why don't you have a Hawaii ID". He responded with, "I just moved here". She kept pushing the idea and kept pointing out the fact that his ID was not a Hawaii ID. Throughout this she kept repeating that he was a 'loser'. I became very uncomfortable in this situation as I could tell my boyfriend was very offended by her comments.To top this all off, instead of placing our IDs back on the bar or sliding them back to us, this woman disrespectfully threw them back to me. By her actions, I knew that she was without a doubt being rude on purpose.My boyfriend grabbed our IDs and told her that he was not going to give her our business. We literally had just sat down and handed our IDs to her, that's all. We did not speak to her(other than greeting her) didn't order any drinks, we were not rude whatsoever. There was no reason for her to be speaking to my boyfriend and friend like that. The fact that she was clearly intoxicated could have played a big role in this altercation. Please save your self the trouble and do not go to this place.

Drinks aren't mixed well. Came with a group for karaoke on a Saturday night and it was completely empty except for us. You would think that would be great except the whole time we were there the lady who was servicing us was rushing us through everything. There's a $30 minimum if you use a card of any sort. And she kept coming back and asking for money immediately instead of waiting until we finish eating or drinking to get the funds. Then 20 minutes before closing she rushed over and started taking the song books, the plates, the cups, and wanted us all to pay our checks immediately if anything was open. This place definitely needs a service improvement. The only plus side to this was at least the karaoke book was somewhat updated with music.

Sandy's Sport Bar was definitely the Monday night no one expected to have. We thought we were enter a quiet little bar/restaurant. Really what we found was a bar filled with wonderful people singing karaoke. A night we can't remember because we had so much fun. Check it out!

Hole in the wall, where Aunty is cook and bartender and if she's busy one of the regulars will help her out. Chill place to hang out and also sing karaoke in front of friends and strangers.

Thanks Sandy, came here this afternoon to celebrate my husbands Retirement and Birthday!! You handled it all solo! Will say your KimChee Pancake was the best I've had, can't wait for another reason to comeback!

So......I hate to do this because I don't want more people to come here, but if you're looking for a great atmosphere and good food, this is the place to be in Aiea. It's our home away from home. My hubby can attest to that. It's probably the cleanest lounge you will ever be in. They have friendly staff and the food is the best! If you're there, you have to try Mama's CC's Chicken, Ahi Tofu patty and she also makes a great Fried tofu!! Blake makes a mean Smoked Marlin dip. The bar pupus are delicious too! P.S. There's karaoke too. Their sound system rocks! So please, don't tell anyone about our little secret spot!! LOL
