We came to this shopping center for a night market that was happening while we were in town. It was a great way to check out the shopping center and see a lot of different local food vendors and shops. There was A TON of people and lots of different entertainment and snacks. We got mochi donuts from Aloha Donut, garlic shrimp from Da Bald Guy food truck, and shopped a lot of local vendors for things like jerky chips, pet accessories, etc.

Parking: Easy to find the entrance on Coral Street. Free for one hour. Restaurants give some validation, so it's reasonable. Shops: Many different kinds. Several restaurants. Bathrooms: Several locked (needed code) and was clean. Map: Helps you locate different establishments - necessary because there are multiple buildings and a second story so you could wander a long time otherwise. Walkways between the buildings were clean. I need to come back and check out the establishments here more.

I love coming to place this place. It's every foodies dream. It's comprised of multiple eateries. It's anchored by Highway Inn, Moku Kitchen and The Boiling Crab; the three biggest restaurants. Salon Tiffany, Revolusun Smart Home, Lash Love Beauty Lounge, Verizon and T-Mobile are also located here. My favorite establishments are Pioneer Saloon, Redfish Pole Bar by Foodland and 7Gradi Gelato. The parking rates aren't horrendous. The parking is free with validation if you leave before the first hour. After the first hour be prepared to drop a few dollars.

Stumbled upon this while my husband and I were walking around a few months ago looking for vintage clothing shops, and we were thrilled to find a complex with some really lovely food options and ambiance. This is a great place to take someone if you want to give them a fun taste of Honolulu. Whether you want a smoothie, coffee, sit down meal, local art, or a boutique clothing store to look through, this place has it. A good one-stop-shop if you only have an hour to peruse and want to make sure multiple people in the group are happy- but you'll want to come back for more!

We just love salt and everything that they do for the community. They have a variety of restaurants, cafés, even wine bar, an album store. And they have shops like Aloha shirts, chocolate/chocolate tasting, second hand store. They do a lot of events from fashion shows, kid events, dog events, Street events, cultural events, they have a covered area where they do events and then sometimes they'll do it on the street. They really bring the community out. And they even asked my little puppy to model and promote for one of their dog events. The businesses are super dog friendly, Because they're so dog friendly I come down pretty often to the restaurants and events. They have a paved parking garage. Just need to remember to get your ticket validated and then pay before you get on the elevator. The park is not very much after you get a validation. They have street parking as well but you need to have those quarters Handy . Most of the restaurants have bathrooms but they do have a bathroom on the bottom floor next to the hot dog place.

I kinda understand what some Yelpers refer to - design of the parking structure. It really sucks when is super busy in the lot, the two roads are narrow and when some drivers drive really quick in the lot, it is easy to hit into each other. First hour is free regardless you have validation or not. Second hour makes the different. Validation rate: $2 and no validation ($3 for half hour). I could mistake with the no validation rate, please check the rate sheet yourself. Most stores give validation ticket.Come early if you don't like busy parking lot, is usually empty and some vendors does open early! Like Morning Brew, Arvo and 9Bar.

One of the best places to visit in O'ahu - a bevy of food places ranging from breakfast to dinner, to vintage shops that sell old film cameras and vinyl, to places to stay active and fit, to places that you can take some beautiful photos at via murals painted by renowned artists. A must-visit each time I come to O'ahu and Kaka'ako specifically.

What an incredible place and surrounding neighborhood! I found this place while on the search for local art, this did not disappoint. Murals and sculpture are intertwined in this neighborhood. I early saw the work of 59 artists working 6 square blocks. The pieces onsite at SALT were lovely and protected from the elements. There were lots of places to sit out site or take pictures. I went during the week so not all the businesses were open. The grounds and restrooms were clean which is a huge plus. Loved it and would go back for sure!

Shopping and dining in Kaka'ako, Honolulu, Hawaii...SALT at Our Kaka'ako is a relatively new outdoor complex. There are nooks and crannies everywhere and even an upstairs. The directory is helpful because I can't even tell you where things are!PARKING: metered street parking is free on Sundays and holidays. If you're lucky, you can catch free street parking on Keawe Street. The parking structure at SALT has reasonable rates. It's free with validation if you exit before the hour is up.Personally, I have visited:* 7Gradi Gelato - the space used to be Butterfly Ice Cream* 9BAR HNL - coffee and scruffin* ARVO - coffee * BEVY - nightlife * hank's Haute Dogs - hot dog*Highway Inn - Hawaiian cuisine * Hungry Ear Records - music * insomnia - Cafe * MOKU Kitchen - dinner* Morning Brew - coffee and bagel* Starbucks - coffee * Taco'ako - tacos* Village Bottle Shop - adult beverages There's a wide variety of eateries at SALT.
