This review is in regards to getting vaccinated at the Safeway pharmacy on Beretania Street.I had gotten my primary series for the Covid vaccine, and booster through the Hawaii Pacific Health facilities, and had a very good experience. Unfortunately neither the Hawai'i Pacific Health or Queens facilities are currently offering the bivalent Covid booster. The bivalent Covid booster is available in the community, but at private pharmacies like Safeway, Longs/CVS, Walgreens etc.You need to make an appointment to get the booster regardless of what facility you choose. It was easy to schedule an appointment online at the Safeway pharmacy for a booster shot. I had not received any vaccines from this pharmacy in the past. Scheduling the shot was a good experience, but what followed was not.I showed up at the Safeway pharmacy at the time of my appointment which was at 9 AM so the pharmacy was not busy. I was the only customer in line. I informed the pharmacist Tiffany, that I was there to get my bivalent Covid booster. She asked me when my appointment was, and was able to find me in her system. It was kind of an odd experience, as there was no hello or greeting. She was very abrupt with her tone, and seemed quite in a rush. I'm not sure if she was the only one there, as I did not see any other staff in the pharmacy, but it did not appear to be busy at that time. She promptly asked me for my Covid vaccine card and then spent several minutes on her computer. She told me to go wait in front of the glass door which I did. Apparently that is the room in which they give the vaccines. In a few minutes she open the door and told me to sit down. She then promptly went back into the Pharmacy side and slammed the door behind her. I waited in that room about 10 minutes or so staring at the wall. Tiffany then came in and gave me the shot and promptly left. Apparently they don't make you wait 15 minutes to see if you have an allergic reaction here.Customer service was poor only one star, I felt like I was a bother to her and that she didn't like her job. One additional star for the ease of scheduling the appointment online.

I like this pharmacy. They are much more friendly and accommodating than most other pharmacies. Sometimes the wait time is longer but I think they are understaffed. If I have to wait, I do my grocery shopping. Overall, I would recommend this pharmacy.

Wish I could leave less stars! 4 Pharmacist, all ignoring 4 customers in line. Then when I said "Hi!! Can we get some help?" The head pharmacist straight upLord and said "I told you We would be with you in a minute" I was the first of the four people there! I'm not blind deaf or stupid! They just don't really worry about customer service!

They are the best. Wait time is usually under half hour. Go to longs it's over 2 hours. Plus the staff are so friendly. Go to safeway and get your meds there. U will not regret it.

I'm a licensed physician with 40 years practice experience and former medical school faculty. I called Safeway pharmacy on behalf my patient six times on Sunday, March 27, 2022. No answers and went to voice mail. When the pharmacist finally responded he said that I'm unprofessional because I had to call six times (he's not responsible for Safeway's business). "I don't want to know your credentials." He also said it's fine if I (and my physician colleagues) go somewhere else. Yikes. Buyer beware. I've heard that the 3rd string pharmacists get stuck with the weekends and holiday shifts. I didn't believe it until now.

My husband I stopped by to pick up our prescription it was not very busy and we approached the window. The pharmacy technician is rude and not helpful. We had two prescriptions and she needed to input it in the computer, instead of writing down the information she yelled over the window and had us tell her the subscriber ID and etc. Safeway, you really need to hire people that know what customer service means. She then told us it will be 20min, so we did some shopping then came back to pick up our medications. Instead of verifying my husband's ID she again had him read out his ID#. First of all, how is this secure? We could have given you any number how can you verify what we are reading out actually matches his ID? Second, don't you guys have some policies in regards to privacy? Reading aloud our personal information doesn't seem very privacy-conscious at all.I'd recommend you go elsewhere to fill your prescription, the staff is nonchalant and rude and have zero regards to privacy.

I wish I could review without a star. Staffs at the pharmacy are rude and no service at all. The short japanese lady , the short filipino lady and the japanese older man so rude. Stop yelling and have some sympathy especially in difficult times like now. The older japanese lady is the only one who have service and the filipino girl who gave me the shot are the only ones who have service. Just be patient, smile behind your mask. Find a back office job so people dont see your rudeness.. pharmacy alright???. You rude people give safeway a bad name
