Saap Saap! Meaning Delicious/Tasty in Lao. Come by for the best Lao Sausage I've had on island. You can choose mild or hot. All food comes in plate style with the pretty blue butterfly pea rice, salad (or papaya salad $2), and crispy spring roll. We chose the Lao Sausage and Lao Fried Chicken combo for $25. Everything was seasoned perfect with explosions of flavor in every bite. They also sell buckets of various drinks that I have to try next time! Laotian food truck that goes around the island (follow on IG for schedule). We tried them at the Saturday night Pearlridge farmers market. Friendly staff!Highly recommend!

I've been looking for some authentic SE Asian foods outside the normal Thai place my family goes to. When I stepped up to the Saap Saap food truck, I knew I had to try their house made sausage. BAAM! The flavors came bursting out with my first bite and you can see all the fresh ingredients in their natural glory! The papaya salad had some bite and spice while tasting super fresh as well. I was surprised to find this gem and now I know where to get my Lao fix. Pro tip: The fried chicken is fire and make sure you let them know if you want a spicy link or a mild one.

Contrary to Yelp's listing showing Saap Saap in Wahiawa, lucky for us townies, this gem can be found all over Oʻahu! Recently, I snagged a plate while they were parked at the UH Mānoa Campus--seems like they're there Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for now. But don't worry if you miss them there; they're regulars at pop-ups across the island!Even better for UH students: they offer a special UH Student Plate at a sweet discount. This time, I went big with the large combo plate (two protein options). I chose their famous Lao sausage and fried chicken, and let me tell you, it was definitely the right play! The Lao sausage? Easily the best I've ever had--bursting with flavor from the fish sauce and packing a nice kick of spice. As for the fried chicken? Perfectly crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. And can we talk about the sides? The butterfly pea sticky rice is not only Insta-worthy but a delightful pairing, and the papaya salad? So fresh, zesty, and addictive--I couldn't stop eating it!Next time, I really want to try one of their drinks!

True flavors of Laos. So good in fact that I haven't had anything this aromatic and explosive in flavor except at a Laos friend's home.Outstanding Sai Oua (Lao sausage). Purchased raw (vacuum sealed package; 5/$20), grilled over charcoal on one occasion and broiled on another. Extremely juicy. Excellent balance of coarse ground pork and pork fat and starchy sticky rice. Aromatic AF! Loaded with lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves, sweet shallots amongst other things with just the right umami kick of fish sauce. Great use of fresh chilies to ratchet up the heat. Beyond anything I've had in a brick and mortar eatery.Other less traditional dishes also burst with the classic Laos flavors. The well made spring rolls once again with a good fish sauce umami kick and aromatics. The dipping sauce that comes with bursts with fresh chili flavor and heat.A creative crawfish curry with eggplant and bell peppers with a side of Gram worthy but basic butterfly pea colored rice and a side of papaya salad compliments all the Lao flavors well. The owner / chef is friendly and personable.Follow on IG for popup locations.Flavors so explosive with great authenticity, they are worth seeking out.

From the moment I walked up to place my order, I was greeted with the nicest smile. Now to the food I ordered the #1 combo, sen lod (Lao jerky), Lao bao, 2 packs of Lao sausage frozen to go, and a lychee dragonfruit tea! Let me tell you coming from a Lao person myself, everything was "SAAP SAAP" , they live up to their name! I would highly recommend anyone wanting Lao food to try them out, everything I ate was amazing! You will not be disappointed. Working in a place that I have to provide customer service I would give this place an A+. *Bonus - they provide bag free of charge. I want to say keep doing what you folks do and Khop Jai La Lai for kong gin saap and the best customer service

The fried chicken and Lao sausage was amazing. The sausage was not dry at all and tasted better the second day. The fried chicken was extra crispy and light . I really enjoyed it with the fish sauce on the side. You also get papaya salad which as you can guess very good. I am happy they are at the Kaiser night market.
