I usually only eat poke in Hawaii because nothing beats the freshness of the fish. But I'd been wanting to try Ry's Poke Shack for the longest time and I finally made it happen on my recent trip! I absolutely loved the husband-and-wife duo running this spot -- they brought such great energy and were incredibly welcoming. I visited on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the ample seating in the Kahuku Sugar Mill area. The whole atmosphere was laid-back and chill, perfectly in tune with the North Shore vibes.I ordered the fresh ahi poke bowl, Lao style, and let me tell you -- it was phenomenal. Easily the best poke I've ever had! As a die-hard fan of Southeast Asian flavors, I never knew I needed this fusion of bold Southeast flavors (especially the Thai chili peppers) with poke and now I'm hooked.Pro tip: Grab a bag of Ono's Giant Shrimp Chips from Costco. Pairing them with the poke took the experience to another level!I can't wait to bring my family and friends here next time I visit!

Omg my all time favorite poke - we ordered the poke nachos and poke bowl and it was amazingly delicious. If I ever get the chance to come back to Honolulu, I want to come back here several more times. This poke truck is in the a lot with several other food truck options and has been featured on many different shows, including on Netflix

This place definitely lives up to the hype. The poke is quite expensive but definitely worth it as the quality is really good. I've already had too much poke and rice on this trip so I decided to do something different and go with the nachos. I felt like they could've put more poke on nachos but the it was really good and I highly recommend getting a plate or the nachos from here. Service is superb and the owners really do appreciate the business even after their fame on Netflix.

This place is legendary, was featured on Netflix, and so good that even the other food truck owners say you gotta go here. There were a lot of signature bowls but the owners recommend the do-it-yourself custom creations. Service is solid, ingredients are fresh, and portions generous.It's a food truck stop setting so lots of parking and seating in a fun atmosphere. Ry's is located against the Main Street between the taro hut and a good drink place. We really liked the poke nachos. The kids did too. Would recommend getting anything here if you're a poke fan and to give it a shot if you aren't.

When we visit Hawaii hubs goal is to eat poke every day. Ry's was sold out on our last trip - so happy we got here in time today. Jay said it was the best poke he's had! Ordered ahi poke bowl "Laos style " it was spicy but not over the top - and totally fresh and delicious. We ordered with added avocado. Next time we will ask for extra cilantro & extra chiles on side (if possible as hubs loves his food as spicy as possible) Definitely adding this to our "must do"list for future Oahu trips!

Food truck area near Giovanni's Plenty of parking, porta potties are clean and have running water! Friendly service, takes maybe 5-10 minutes because as Ry says, everything is made to order. I would expect it to take a bit longer if it's a busy day. Now the poke flavoring is phenomenal. Tons of flavor, lots of garlic, perfect amount of sweet and salty. Mayo wasn't overpowering at all either. The pickled cucumber had a nice acidity to cut down on the flavorball of the poke. The best thing is, the rice is good too. It's plain white rice but it's not too soggy/soft, not undercooked. I've noticed my previous go-to poke spots are TOO SALTY even with rice. Rys is PERFECT. A nice accompaniment to rice, but just as delicious without it. 12/10 coming back for sure. All my go to places have been downgraded. I hope they don't change their flavors when they get even more popular

Ono poke! We tried 4 different pokes and all were really good. Amazing service, ry and his wife is so nice! One of the best poke I ever had!
