Good curry lunch truck. This lunch truck is parked in the same lot as Yajimaya and ilandsoda. They offer two items:-Mango Lassi for $5-Chicken Curry Plate (salad, chicken curry, rice, cup of mango lassi, and bottled water or soda included) for $10The curry is good and the rice goes good together. The plate is half salad and half rice, but I'd like the ratio to favor the rice in my opinion, so I can eat it with the curry. You can request a bigger portion of rice or salad if you want. I love their mango lassi. It's like a lightly flavored mango smoothie. A very nice Indian couple runs the truck and they will give out free samples if you wish to try. They said they have been there for two weeks, I believe. A very nice addition to the lot.

Tried the chicken curry with two rices. The chicken curry was tasty; not too spicy. The Tamarind Rice was a little spicy. The refreshing Mango Lassi ($5) cut the spiciness of the Tamarind Rice. I wish that they gave a little more for $8 (or at least a salad). I also wished that they had Naan or Roti.Next time I will get the "Full Lunch Plate" ($15) which comes with chicken and shrimp curry, white, Tamarind and Tomato Rice, and Mango Lassi.I like that they let us taste a free sample before we ordered.

Ruchi is a new Indian lunch wagon. It's located right behind Hinone Mizunone in the same lot as Yajima Ya and Island Soda. Between them, they all share a 10x20 tent with picnic tables so you can eat outside. Specific to Ruchi, I believe the owners are a husband and wife tandem. They're super friendly and super personable. The place doesn't get too crowded yet, at least from what I've seen, so when they do have customers, I often see them outside talking to their customers, asking how the food is, and just showing genuine passion behind what they're doing and what they're serving. That goes a long way to me. I'll be the first to say that I'm not the biggest fan of some of the Indian fare that I've had in the past... but the food here was awesome! As a word of caution, they usually only have one entree per day. I'm assuming that they're testing menu items to see what resonates with customers, before opening up a larger menu, which is actually a very smart and business-savvy thing to do. I had the shrimp curry which was the entree one day; and I had the chicken curry another day; and a different variation of a different style of chicken curry another day. All three were excellent! And they were not bland at all; they were spicy, which I love. They came with two types of rice, a cabbage salad (although I would probably prefer some other type of salad), and even a small mango lassi. It came out to $10 each time. I think you can order things al a carte, but why would you. Everything was good. I hope these folks do well. If you're a fan of Indian food, it's definitely worth a try. If these guys could somehow make their way to an Eat The Street lineup, I think they'd be a hit.

They must of moved to Kauai but I just ate a veggie curry wrap and it was the worst thing I've ever had at the kauai beer company truck stop night. I asked for my curry to be hot the lady said they can't do that. The veggies looked like they were from a frozen bag from Costco. No one was going to that truck so I felt bad and ordered something and it was real bad.
