The experience, unfortunately did not meet expectation. The location and service was amazing. Our server and everyone took care of us. And the location on the ko'olina golf course was scenic and serene. Some of the food was really good, however the steaks we ordered were far from good. I got a ribeye that looked and tasted like an over cooked sirloin. But added on sea bass which was really good. Wife ordered the filet and it was almost inedible. They took back and brought another that wasn't any better. Think they need to stay with fish. The manager came to the table and tried to make things right. She was nice and professional and appreciate her. It was date night that just didn't meet expectation. If wasn't for the good service we would have given 1-2 stars.

I'm giving 3 stars because the ambiance alone is worth 5. It's a groomed Las Vegas wealthy style luxury place....The service was excellent. The management was great, Zairene was sweet. The food was one of the most EPIC failures from a restaurant I've ever had. I know we all have bad days, so grains of salt administered...I ordered a fillet. Med-rare closer to rare. It came out looking like a beef jersey version of a hockey puk drowning in a bowl of runny mashed potatoes? The whole thing was covered in a sweet port réduction that made the mashed potatoes turn into a runny river of pinkish brown fluid. The whole thing looked like an infected wound, not a beautifully plated $70 meal. When I cut into the meat and ate a bite, it was medium well, which is burnt (to me). I tried the Brussels and they were almost cooked but with a raw center. Potatoes were sweet and I don't want that on a potato unless it's a sweet potato, but certainly not a bodily fluid bite of starchy sweet.Anyway, I asked the server to remake my meal.Second time around the sweet sauce on the side. So, the steak came back cooked med-rare-ish but in 3-4 pieces stacked together in the center of a bowl of less runny mashers. It looked like someone had been at it with a pair of scissors. On top of that, the Brussels sprouts were completely raw but burned on the outside, the green beans were so under-done that it took me 5 minutes to eat one, and the cauliflower, that I hoped would be amazing was raw and coated in a heavy turmeric but contained no other flavor or salt or oils of any kind. The whole plate was a disaster. Again. Not going back for the food.

We had an amazing evening at Roy's Ko Olina, dining with our mentors and enjoying incredible food, wine, and company. This location truly delivers on the Roy's experience - exceptional flavors, impeccable service, and a beautiful atmosphere.I had the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was absolutely delicious - tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also shared the Canoe for Two, which, fun fact, doesn't actually come on a canoe anymore (lol!), but that didn't take away from how incredible it was. Every bite was a perfect mix of Roy's signature appetizers, beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. To top it off, we enjoyed plenty of delicious wine, which paired perfectly with our meal. The staff was warm, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic.10/10 - if you're looking for an unforgettable meal in Ko Olina, Roy's is the place to be! Can't wait to return.

I love Roy's, so I was heartbroken to see that both Las Vegas locations had closed. Luckily, my family and I were vacationing in Hawaii and decided to eat here on our last night. We made a reservation 2 days in advance, and the only available time was 8 PM. Once we arrived, the hostess immediately greeted us and walked us over to our table. [Ambiance] upscale, tropical atmosphere, packed, and busy with an adequate amount of staff to keep the guests happy. [Service] Outstanding! Our server did an excellent job explaining the menu and providing recommendations for dinner. He made us feel genuinely welcome and even made us laugh - I wish I remembered his name! I had to go with a Roy's classic dish, so I chose: * Misoyaki Butterfish - it was just as buttery, savory, and delicious as I remembered. The sauces complemented everything on the plate. My mom ordered the same thing, and ordered a side of rice, so we shared it. Without the rice, it would've been too salty. I was too full for dessert, but the baked cookie and ice cream my kids ordered looked amazing. They devoured the entire thing in a matter of minutes, so I'm pretty sure it was good - haha. An easy 5-star rating! I highly recommend this location if you're in the area. It was the perfect way to end our vacation. Mahalo, Roy's! :)

We had been to Roy's in Kauai so we were excited to be back during our stay in Ko'Olina. However our experience wasn't as good as in Kauai. I would actually give our meal 3.5 stars. We started with blackened ahi. It came kind of a mess on the plate, and was just okay, every bite needed sauce otherwise it was flavorless. Organic greens salad, was decent, but for $17 nothing special. Brussels sprouts were good, great flavor, but didn't really taste the prosciutto crumble flavor. We ordered the butterfish, plantation paella, and the Filet. The butterfish is amazing, unbelievable flavor and cooked to perfection. The paella was great too, but the filet was a disappointment, meat was just okay, not worth the money for us. I saw scalloped sweet potatoes on an entree and asked our waitress if I could have it as a side, she was sweet to oblige; and oh my goodness it was delicious! I'm glad I asked for it!! A few dishes were just okay, and a few were excellent. It's an expensive restaurant so I was slightly disappointed. We also ate at Eating House 1849 and enjoyed that meal more!

It still is our favorite place to go to celebrate our anniversary when we are in Hawaii. We usually get the same things since the menu does not change a lot.We started with the Brussels sprouts with Parmesan cream. Delicious !I had the classic duet made of macadamia crust Mahi and miso black cod. Macadamia crust Mahi is one of my favorite. However, I felt like the crust was not as thick and crunchy as it was before. The black cod was amazing though. We finished our dinner with a pineapple upside down cake and we got a brownie offered for our anniversary. Such a nice attention !Our waitress was friendly and amazing. She was efficient and good advice to help choose dessertI recommend it for a nice celebration

This is my second time at this Roy's and they do not miss. If you're looking for an upscale place to get great food and have the perfect dining experience from start to finish, this is it. Come here for delicious food, impeccable service, and a great atmosphere. The Food: Every dish we ordered was flawless and cooked to perfection. My favorite is the miso butterfish. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender with rich, buttery flavors and the perfect amount of umani. Definitely one of the signature dishes that I recommend. The Service: The service was absolutely top-notch. Our server, Elan, was extremely attentive without being intrusive. He and the other server were always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They were on top of it. I don't think I've ever had my water refilled so many times. They provided great recommendations and made the entire experience feel seamless and special.Overall, Roy's in Ko Olina is a must-visit for anyone looking for exceptional food and service. Every dish we tried was perfect, and the service made us feel like VIPs. If you're in the area looking for a great place to eat, this is one spot you won't want to miss!

Had the amazing opportunity to eat at Roy's this Christmas and I was definitely impressed. The food was so good and my only problem was that I couldn't try everything!! I will say the Mongolian ribs were my all time favorite!! As well as the soufflé.The staff was great. Attentive and prompt. Answered all my questions & were very polite. Even leaving the restaurant I was greeted by staff that I hadn't even spoken to before. Loved the outdoor atmosphere. I actually prefer outdoor seating to indoors. I can't wait to return

We are staying at our ts in KoOlina resort and it's easy to just walk over to Roy's leisurely for lunch.Had been here for dinner a couple of times before and do love their signature sable fish dish.Really like their lunch menu--we both ordered the Fish Katsu sandwich--crispy thick cut fish filet along with bacon, lettuce and tomato slices on a toasted bun.It was so thick hard for me to bite into yet it's fine for my hubbys big mouth Came with lightly seasoned fries and a couple of sauces on the side. What a nice ambiance, relaxing golf course views, tables set far apart, soft listening music....Waitstaff professional and efficient, water refilled frequently. Will definitely come back again just for the Fish Katsu BLT sandwich.
