This hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms and is conveniently close to the beach and nearby shopping. With just a 20-minute walk, you can easily explore local shops and visit the mall. If you have leftovers, the microwave on the second floor is a handy touch for reheating. The service was kind and accommodating. They were quick to bring extra towels, shampoo, and other bathroom necessities upon request. While there was a bit of a wait, it's manageable if you plan ahead.Tip: If you're driving, definitely try to get the parking package, as parking fees can add up quickly.Overall, a pleasant stay, and I'd recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable location!

Beautifully renovated and quiet. The staff from check in to check out was amazing! Met a wonderful check in lady who recommended "the secret spot" for a birthday night. And it was amazing. The rooms are spacious and cozy. Late check out for Kamaaina and parking is not expensive and included. Pool was a bit small and they had event which took away from guests but overall great! Loved the upgrades and the bathroom lighting was a woman's dream! Would for sure book here again.

Waikiki Staycation. My friend and I were guests of the Romer Waikiki from 5/31/24 to 6/02/24. A typical yet tropical weekend staycation.NOTES1. Valet parking available; when the res was booked free parking was included. Unsure if this was because were are local residents, but there was a sign with the fees posted by the valet stand.2. Pool (albeit slightly small) on property3. Newly renovated property4. ABC store within walking distance (for water, sodas, snacks, etc). This was very convenient.Since we had never been to this property before, we weren't sure about the parking situation....if self-park was an option or not. Thankfully, the valet attendant was very helpful and notified us it was valet only. The staff at check-in was efficient and answered our all our questions, namely about our waived parking fee and check-out time.ROOM AMENITIES1. Small sitting area2. Large flat screen tv3. King size bed (very comfy!)4. Small fridge, with 2 complimentary refillable water bottles provided.5. Spacious bathroom with ample counter space6. Dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower (secured to the wall).7. COLD AC!8. Outlets/charging stations on either side of the bed (very helpful!)9. There was a balcony, but we were on the 6th floor and it only looked onto Kalakaua Ave, not much of a "view".HOTEL AMENITIESWe took advantage of the pool, and we were thankful it wasn't too crowded. Its a decent area with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and some bar height tables also included in the mix. Servers/workers will come around with a drink and food menu also.Overall, I was satisfied with this property. The room was decent and much larger than I expected honestly. I truly did appreciate there was a fridge in the room too. Lastly, all the staff we encountered were helpful and polite.I suppose my only small gripe that it is a bit of a walk to the center of Waikiki. Other than that circumstance, its a decent place to stay for the weekend.BOTTOM LINENewly renovated. Friendly staff. There's a pool! I would consider staying here again.

I visit Waikiki regularly; and I observed the sequence of events as the (former) Ambassador Hotel Waikiki ceased operations and underwent a complete renovation. The resort has two towers. I estimate the most modern of the two towers was built in the 1960s. The contractors deconstructed everything down to the concrete / cinder block. In addition to all of the cosmetic features, I am sure that they replaced all of the electrical, plumbing, and fire-safety systems. The resort re-opened as "Romer Waikiki @ The Ambassador" on October 1, 2023. So, when I had the opportunity to book a stay, I took it. I wanted to see what the reimagined property looked like; and what accommodations had to be made to fit modern stuff into an older structure.Location ::The location of this resort is very good. If you want to go to the beach, the resort is a short walk to Waikiki beach. If you want to eat or shop, the situs is close to Beach Walk and Royal Hawaiian Center; and walkable to many other locations along Kalakaua and Kuhio avenues. There are Biki bike share racks and a Hui car share lot within 100 yards of the resort.Parking ::The only parking option is valet parking, with unlimited in-out privileges. Hourly parking is $20; valet parking is $51per day.The valet desk is staffed 24 hrs. The attendants are friendly and act as quickly as possible--but there are occasional surges in activity that create back-ups. The valets also manage luggage storage.Registration ::The front desk is staffed 24 hrs.The registration process was fast and efficient. The staff was friendly, helpful, and provided a good orientation at check in. Room ::Everything in my room was (still) shiny and new. The decor is modern, with hints of tropical motif and influences from the 1960s.The mattress was very comfortable, and the sheets felt plush. The bathroom was modern and bright. As many properties do nowadays, toiletries are in dispensers, rather than mini bottles. Water pressure in the shower was less than I expected; but I suspect flow restriction is a conservation measure. The resort provides two bottles of water in the refrigerator. The bottles are reusable (aluminum); and there is a filtered water dispenser in the lobby. The room had a small balcony with a table and two chairs. Unfortunately, the orientation of the room had a nice, but less than compelling view. The wi-fi, the TV, the A/C--all performed well.All-in-all, I found my stay at the Romer Waikiki @ The Ambassador to be very pleasant. I made my original booking via a travel aggregator, and the room rate I got was very good. I would recommend this hotel--especially as it is all "new".

I needed a place to stay for a few days and read about the renovation at The Ambassador. So why not stay at one of the iconic properties that has a history in Waikiki. Felt like I was in the old school version of Hawaii Five 0.Valet parking only, the young man was less than enthusiastic but that's alright. The front desk staff was so friendly and funny! I asked for a quiet room away from the elevators. I was on the 14th floor and my room faced the Ala Wai Canal. The first couple of days, no one was on either side of me and yes, it was peaceful. Nice balcony, comfy king bed, huge bathroom, though the shower was a little cozy. Hidden fridge was nice, and a closet safe. I also enjoyed see all the fireworks from my balcony when the clock struck 12 on New Year's Eve! I didn't have to leave my room! A chair and desk would've been great, but there was a table and chairs on the balcony.I stopped by the pool for a drink. The staff working was great! All we needed was live music and I wouldn't have left! The complimentary coffee was really good in the morning, and having almond milk was nice. However, refill those coffee urns frequently, especially in the busy morning, some of us didn't like waiting and get grumpy. The fitness room is cozy but functional. There were a few things that might be a cause for concern. My room, which was scheduled to be serviced, was not. Since I was leaving after the next day, there was not reason to reschedule. I was never emailed a copy of my bill. I really feel bad for the valet when only one is working and there's a line. And though I felt relatively safe during my stay, a homeless person did wander onto the property.Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay. The biggest reason was the staff. They were some of the nicest, friendliest, and courteous people. I would definitely stay here again, and have recommended to friends. It's great to be away from the hustle bustle of Waikiki, and it's a nice stroll to where you need to go.

We spent 1 night at Romer Waikiki because our Church was attending the Majestic Dinner Boat Cruise. Celebrating 1 Year Anniversary. We arrived and checking was a little slow considering we were in a bit of a rush. The front desk has 3 workers but only 2 checking in visitors. Once to our room, I felt better after a great hot shower. We made it to our event in plenty of time to catch up with Ohana. We got back a little late. Ordered delivery and enjoyed that comfy King Size Bed. Man, it was lush and relaxing. We watched TV.There's 2 bottles of complimentary water in the fridge. There's a refill station located in the main lobby to refill. Each room has a quaint Lanai. Table and 2 chairs. One lounge chair. We had a nice city view with the mountains in the background. Note: the walls are a little thin. You can hear everything when people pass the door. Plus: it's a good place to getaway for a staycation. The Kama'Aina rate is well with it. It doesn't include Valet parking tho.
