I've been on the lookout for a solid tapas spot in Honolulu, and this place definitely fits the bill. I'm a big fan of tapas because you get to sample a little bit of everything without overdoing it, and here the diverse, all-day menu really delivers. We ended up ordering a generous spread, and every dish was spot on--my stomach was definitely put to the test!We started with the Padron shisito peppers, which were good but a bit too salty for my taste. The Pulpo was outstanding, and the Melanzane dip--a unique blend of eggplant and mozzarella--was like nothing I've ever had before, absolutely mouth-watering and definitely a must-try. My friend also swore by the lamb chops, saying they were some of the best he's ever had.For my entrée, I opted for the carbonara with portabella fritto. Unlike the traditional version, this dish had a delightful twist of mushroom flavor, and the portabella fritto itself was incredible--thinly sliced mushrooms that were crispy yet soft, almost chip-like in texture. It's hard to put into words, but it really brought the dish together. We wrapped up the meal with cheesecake, which--admittedly, I'm a bit biased about--was fantastic, especially with the subtle addition of apple.A neat bonus is the building's history; the restaurant appears to have been a bank, which you can tell by the vault tucked away at the back. The decor is thoughtfully done, and even the bathrooms boast modern touches like bidets that add to the overall ambiance. Service was attentive without being overbearing, making for a smooth dining experience.Quick tip for anyone planning a visit: it's valet parking only. If you're coming from Waikiki, be sure to take the right turn before reaching the lot on Kapahulu.Overall, this spot combines unique charm with consistently good food, making it a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed, yet memorable, tapas experience in Honolulu.

Cute restaurant for spanish/italian food! Perfect for an intimate date night.Food: 4/5 We ordered the calamari and paella. Both dishes were very flavorful! The paellas portion was on the smaller side for $37. There was also sand in one of the clams.Service: 5/5 All the staff members were very bubbly and attentive. It was our first time there and our waiter was super patient with any questions we had.Ambiance: 4/5 Modern and classy inside. Seats were comfortable and the tables were spread out which I appreciated. Parking is basically nonexistent; we had to park across the street at the shopping center. We found out later that there was valet.

My group decided to order several different dishes to all share. We ordered 2 of everything, except the Crostini (we did 4 of those.. it was that good!). We've ordered - Caprese, Melanzane (unfortunately the server came back to tell us he could only put in 1 order in as it was their last), Pizza Bismark, Seafood Paella, Carbonara Pasta, and the Bolognese Rigatoni Pasta. The food tasted amazing!! The ones we didn't care so much for was the Melanzane and the Bolognese Rigatoni pasta. The portions they offer for almost every dish is not worth the price. The paella is served with a thin layer of rice, how sad. Don't come here starving, otherwise you'll just be racking up your bill wanting to order more. We've ordered cocktails all around. I chose the Pinkie, super delicious! Will definitely come back! Just won't come starving, lol.

Good spot if you're in the mood for Spanish food, which I've never really had before. I wouldn't necessarily say this place is 'fusion' as the menu sort of separates your Spanish and Italian options. However, it is tapas style, which I really like. We came here on a friday evening with a reservation we made two weeks ago. Seated after a five minute wait. Service was really great without being too intrusive, and the restaurant itself had a cool vibe. We were seated by the kitchen, but there was also private seating in the back (including a vault!) and bar seating as well.Food was decent, value was ok. We ended up spending a little over $100 for two entrees and three tapas. Not crazy expensive, but I will say the portions were rather small. That was just enough for two of us.Seafood Pealla - (A+). This was the best dish for us. Tasty, flavorful, and the shrimp was juicy!Half Caesar Salad - (A-). It was a salad, so it's hard to give it an incredibly high rating. But it had some flavor to it, and I think it's a great tapa choice.Salmon Marinto - (B+). Tasty but not sure I would get it again. Pulpo - (B+). Tasty, but chewy. Vongole with Brussel Sprouts - (C). Cant really recommend this one. Pricey, light, not really tasty and best way I can describe it is under seasoned. YMMV!Would recommend this spot for a good date night or if youre craving Spanish food, or Italian food in town.

Came by here for an evening valentines day reservation. The restaurants reservation system is a little jacked, so I would call instead of using the online system if you encounter issues. For example, we desired a seat for 4, but there was only a reservation available for a table for 2. I pushed no further, and didnt bother calling. However, ended up getting seated at a 4 person table lol. Tapa style restaurant in a cool atmosphere. Almost think the building could have been a former/old bank? Anyways, service was excellent and food was pretty good too. We had the Seafood Paella, Salmon Marinato, Vongole with Brussels Sprouts, Pulpo, and half Caesar Salad. These two entrees and three tapas were just enough for 2, and we certainly dont eat a ton. Portions are small but tasty. Below are our ratings for the dishes:Seafood Paella (C+ for value, A- for taste. The shrimp were really good)Salmon Marinto (A-, it was just alright. Unique, and the dressing was good)Vongole with Brussel Sprouts (B-, this was a light dish, and didnt have much taste. We ended up bringing this one home as leftovers)Pulpo (A, this one comes from the wood fired oven. Tasted smokey and flavorful. The dressing was great too)Half Caesar Salad (A+, one of the better Caesar salads Ive had. It weird to give a salad an A+, but I would definitely recommend this one as a tapa)Great service, cool vibes, decent food, ok value. Give this place a try if you're on a date or can't find Spanish food on island!

Always amazing food and service!! After coming here since they first opened... there has been some changes 5 years later. taste of food and beverages. We had the crostinis (100% always need to get these), salmon funghi Alfredo, carbonara with portobello Fritos, cacio e Pepe, and lamb chops. Everything was delicious!!! After years of carbonara being my fav this time the salmon Alfredo was the pasta winner. Service was 1000% on point!! Nicole was very attentive but respectful of our conversation and timing. Pear o jack was an extremely delicious cocktail. Infused with pear, pumpkin, all spice, maple, thyme... overall comfy beverage. Some changes that add to the cost. Potions are smaller than before, for sure. Still delicious but much smaller so no leftover and still kind of hungry. Valet is $5 before gratuity. Not sure if that's only for weekends?

Rigo is one of my favorite restaurants on the whole island! I have come here for date nights and girl dinners with 10 people and everything in between and they are always accommodating. Service is amazing, they always give recommendations and explain the menu, if you order wine they will constantly be topping off your glass. They never make you feel rushed either.I've tried so many of their tapas and my favorites are the crostini, garlic bread, and shrimp ajillo. I usually get the cacio e Pepe which I love, but I tried my friend's pastas too and all of them are also amazing! The pizzas are super tasty as well. Will definitely keep coming back!

This place is PHENOMENAL. Everything was so incredibly flavorful!! This was our first time here and they did not disappoint. We have been searching for a nice Spanish tapas place on the island and I'm so glad we found a solid one!Where do I even begin with this review LOL (words just can't describe how tasty every dish was). We made reservations over the phone prior to coming here. Parking out front is valet only. Our waiter was very welcoming and gave us his best recommendations. Staff were very attentive and service was surprisingly quick! The noise level can be a bit loud, but that didn't bother us as everyone seemed to be having a great time (; The sangria was perfectly sweet and refreshing. My family and I especially loved the crostini which had a bit of the island flare with the papaya~ The hit of the night though was the verdure fritte which came with a creamy and spicy aioli--so ono brah! We also got a chocolate fudge-like walnut dessert which I can't quite remember the name of, but we all loved it; the chocolate wasn't overly sweet despite it being served with vanilla ice cream, and the nuts were slightly charred which gave the dessert a unique flavor. Overall, Rigo easily takes one of the spots for my favorite restaurants on the island!

First time here in August 26. I could tell the experience was going to be amazing cause of the ambiance and the interior design of the place as it was very classy and has a great flow of the dinning space. We started off with pupus and everything we ordered was mouthwatering and bursting with flavors. We also ordered entree's (vongole with Brussels sprout pasta and seafood paella) and it did not disappoint. Pasta was cooked to perfection/al dente and I was more amazed how one strand of pasta was so flavorful and the seafood parlla was delicious and perfectly cooked like a risotto and seasoned very well. We also ordered dessert (classic tiramisu and the banana cheese cake and gelato of the day "peanut butter" and that sealed the deal. It was so delicious that our dinning experience from one course to another kept going up another notch. I was blown away of how good the food was for decent price. I would rank this place way above Assagios. I would highly recommend this place. Perfect place for a romantic date night with your significant other. I will definitely be back to try other items I haven't tried yet.

This has to be one of my favorite meals of the year. Service and food here was amazing. Loved the Caesar salad and they added this black sesame crumble on top that balanced the dish well. The calamari here is my favorite. They don't serve it with sauce because it honestly doesn't need it at all. The pizza bismark was so good and cooked perfectly. Loved my carbonara pasta (but I could have done without the mushrooms - they're good on their own but didn't match the pasta imo). The tiramisu didn't use traditional lady fingers - it looked like chocolate cake? But it was still so good!!Parking at night is valet for $5 but there's street parking or parking at Safeway across the street.
