Ricado's Italian Restaurant

Been coming to this restaurant as a kid and they are still one of my favorite Italian restaurants. And it's super close by so convenience is 10/10.We went this past Valentine's Day as a family and we all enjoyed the food so much. I wanted to try something new but as always I got the chicken Marsala. It's so good. I could eat it every day! My husband had the seafood medley and my daughter had the kids spaghetti and meatball. Seriously you can't go wrong with this place. Everyone is always so friendly when we walk in. There was a little bit of a wait but it what Valentine's Day so that was expected. We barely waited 10 minutes though so still quick.This is a local favorite because everytime I go I always see families or couples on a date. It's not super fancy but sometimes we do dress up but a regular shirt and shorts works too.It's not expensive and you get quality food. It's really a great place to go.

We came to celebrate a birthday! When you enter, they have some tables for dining and also have another room to the right with more tables. The lighting was a little dim and more of an older Italian restaurant feeling. Our party was seated near the entrance.Our server was awesome and came around to assure we had all that we needed and filled our drinks quite often. We ordered:1. Scallop & Shrimp Pomodoro2. Polo Ala Spinach3. Chicken Saltimboca4. New York Steak5. Caesar SaladEveryone was happy with their meals. The flavors were delicious and with the addition of some parmesan cheese, our entrees were even better. My steak was cooked perfectly as requested and the steak sauce was delicious.We were able to make a reservation as we had a party of 6. Smaller parties as we were told would need to walk in. Because we were celebrating a birthday, we received a complimentary cheesecake. We were very thankful and were in awe that the piece was pretty big.We enjoyed our time here and loved the food. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our Italian food crave days!

My parents wanted to eat Italian, and since there's not that many restaurants on the KBay side, I searched here for some other choices. I was going to go to this other one, but I read Sach T's review and she said she had a favorite in the Pearl Kai center, so that's how I found Ricado's. We got there right when they opened.The host was not friendly or inviting. I'm not sure if he was the manager or the owner, but first impressions make a difference. However, I was really glad that Brandon was our server. He brought the warm hospitality that most restaurants should have. He also had a new server helping him, who was also very nice. I started with the Italian salad which was great! For dinner, I had the pollo alpesto. I'm not a fan of cream sauces but this one was delicious! My parents shared the linguine with clams in a white sauce with added mushroom (extra$), and so glad they did! The portions are pretty big. They also serve warm crusty bread with room temp butter, ready to spread! I also had a glass of chianti which was good. If it wasn't for the wonderful service, I would've given four stars, maybe less, but I would definitely bring my parents back here again!

It's officially Gemini Season...The best part of it all...dinner with besties! Thank you to Nadine as a simple dinner is never quite that simple as it seems but I know her well enough lol! Every year as we say you get wiser...one thing I know is what makes me happy is that food does tastes better with friends and along with Cece and fellow Gemini Donna it was a lovely night of Italian food at Ricado's in Aiea.Conveniently located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center which does share ample free parking with other biz, Ricado's simple storefront almost had me drive right by them. Walking in the decor is quite basic and a bit dated but is nice and clean, I love the back part of the restaurant which is where Donna grabbed our seats for the evening as it has a long divider from the front part of the restaurant giving it a slight more private vibe.Menu is quite massive though very easy to understand as it lists in detail of what it consists of including the choice of sauces you're able to choose from does make it quite overwhelming decision. As Nadine and Cece went with the server recommendation I decided on Linguine Primavera which I love as it comes with veggies (broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms and spinach) with a choice of butter white wine or tomato sauce.You know it's a party cause Mr. Grumpy Bear is here as well and oh my sweet happy heart as moments like this is what truly makes me smile but having a huge plate of pasta does made it very comforting...yum! Loaded with fresh veggies cooked just to the right bite and yummy hearty sauce along with their complimentary bread what a wonderful dinner!Not leaving much room for dessert here comes the cake...cheesecake! As this smooth and rich sweetness literally blew us away as we made our wish and I hope it does come true though these moments are precious to me and am so thankful for the thoughtfulness that I truly appreciate.Thank you!

Dinner in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawaii...Finding a restaurant that none of us visited before is a challenging feat. Fortunately, the Yelp app is a great tool. I saw my friends' reviews and found Ricado's Italian Restaurant at Pearl Kai... it was fantastic!Parking in the shared, free parking lot was a bit tight, but much appreciated. The interior of the restaurant was dim, nicely air-conditioned, and had a calm atmosphere. It had a slightly old-school feel. We found out that it has been around for over 14 years!Colette was our friendly, energetic, and fun server! She checked up on us often, refilled our glasses of water frequently, and brought takeout boxes before we had to ask!Colette made a great suggestion: Shrimp Sorrentino... a house specialty. It had mushrooms, eggplant, mozzarella cheese, and a marsala-wine butter sauce. Instead of pasta, we could have Sautéed veggies or both. I chose both! It was perfect! I actually had to take home most of my meal because I ate too much of the complimentary bread and butter... it was so yummy! Warm, soft bread with a crisp crust... mmm!For dessert, the two birthday girls received hefty slices of cheesecake! That's so thoughtful and generous!We all had a wonderful meal together!P.S. I wasn't able to make a reservation for our party of 4 because it was too small. That's why we went early (5pm) on a Sunday evening!

This restaurant is located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center. There's ample parking and on a Thursday evening my husband & I were seated right away. From the outside looking in, it looks really tiny but once you go inside it opens to a larger dining area. Service was excellent. The decor and lighting was giving old school Italian vibes. They serve complimentary bread & butter upon seating so we skipped the appetizers and just ordered entrees. My husband ordered the lasagna and I ordered the veal piccata. We both enjoyed our food. It was tasty and the prices were reasonable. For dessert, we shared a tiramisu. It was not our favorite but it was okay. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit so next time you're in the area, skip Bravos and give this place a try.

This review is to reflect customer service at Ricado's. We had an online reservation, and a confirmed email to show. They said there was no reservation, even after we showed the email stating so. The guy at the front was rude, unattentive and didn't really care at all, or try to ask management or someone in charge (unless he was in charge). Very disappointing.

Back again to our favorite italian restaurant on the West side of Oahu. Always count on getting a hot baked loaf of bread with butter as part of your meal. Portions are very generous and everything is reasonably priced. I tend to stick with my known favorites and got the chicken picatta. It was like seeing an old friend again and the old friend looked even better than the last time. Hello chicken picatta! Come here into my mouth! Sides of linguine was al dente, buttery and oh the picatta sauce with the capers bathed the chicken and pasta old so well. Thanks Ricado's!!

Good food, good service, good portion sizes (not too big or too small), real linen on the table, & nice selection on menu. A little higher priced than expected but not ridiculous for the quality.

I've always eaten at Ricados and have since they opened all those years ago. The food is wonderful and generous portions. The only sad thing is they no longer open for lunch. Ricados was my go to place. It's still wonderful though.
