We drove from town to Waipahu on a weekday and fought traffic all the way. It was completely worth the trip in traffic!!!! I'd do it again over and over to eat here. The restaurant is located in a secured strip mall with lots of parking. There's a big lighted sign above the restaurant affixed to the building top but you cannot see it when you're walking past the door so just look for the big neon sign that says "ribs" & "pho". The menu is a typical Vietnamese except for the short rib and beef bone options. yES! You need to try both. My hubby ordered ramen style beef bone and I got the pho short rib. Beef bone ramen: the bowl looks intimidating with the big bones sticking out. Surprisingly, there a ton of meat on the bones and it's super tasty too. I don't know how they make it taste so good while being so fall off the bone tender. It took a little while to get all the meat off the bone so that you could get to eating the soup properly. It's worth the work cuz there was no talking at the table after that. Yummm! The short rib was surprisingly tender as well. No bones to deal with as they cut the meat into bite sized pieces that fit right on top the noodles and soup on your spoon. The pho broth was really tasty and very clean. I was sad and surprised I ate the entire bowl. I was soo stuffed but very happy. The serving of noodles here were actually more than you would get for a large size at a restaurant in town. Next time, we'll try some other items on the menu but need to get at least one of these soups again. We'll be back again soon, guaranteed.

I personally did not like the food at all. I got the oxtail pho, my girlfriend got the combination, the kids got a chicken pho and a steak and brisket pho. We got summer rolls on the side as well for appetizers.Let me start with the summer roll... the wrapper was still kind of tough to chew so maybe wasn't in water long enough or it's been sitting a while(gf said the veggies in it didn't seem fresh), The peanut sauce that comes with it... first time I've ever had it where it was too salty, most times it's on the sweeter side. We had to orders of the summer rolls and between the 4 of us... we couldn't even finish one order because it was terrible. The pho on the other hand had mixed reviews within my family. My gf said it was the best spot because most pho places we've been, the broth was on the sweeter side. She liked the broth at ribs and broth because there was no sweetness. My oxtail would have been ok but that was the toughest oxtail I've ever had. I could not enjoy it. The only good thing was the broth so I don't think we will ever go back because it is not worth the money just to have good broth. The portion was so small compared to other places. My bowl was $25 and I was not even close to being full. Compared to pho Waipahu... at pho Waipahu me and my gf shared a bowl and we both got full. At ribs and broth, me and my gf had separate bowls and both left still hungry. The place itself... we walked in and there was no workers. There was a party already eating but no worker in sight. We walked to the register and waited there for 5-10 minutes until a worker walked into the restaurant to finally help. It's crazy to me that the worker would step outside and just leave it unattended. The layout is a bit cramped and I felt like I might accidentally hit someone by just walking to the register. After we had ordered and received our food... the worker was no help at all. We had hard time getting refills on our water, we asked for to go containers but we had to ask multiple times... I really wanted to like this place because a friend recommended there but it was one of the worse restaurants I've been to for pho. I suggest looking elsewhere.Only reason I gave 2 stars is because at least the broth was good but really... if my gf didn't say anything about how she liked it, I would've gave it a 1 star.

Their beef rib pho was amazing and I would go back again to reorder it. Ribs & Broth is located in the small shopping center right across from the Waipahu Mcdonalds. I saw that they had great reviews on Yelp and was a brand new restaurant so decided to give them a try. The staff is friendly and attentive. The interior is a little on the smaller side in terms of table seating wise. Luckily when we went it wasn't packed so we got seated right away. The beef rib pho had a great broth flavor while the beef rib was super tender. It was a bit difficult to eat but totally worth it.

Small local spot for some pho. The servers were nice and efficient. We ordered our food and didn't wait too long to get our plates which was good since we were all pretty hungry. The entrees were tasty. The noodles were delicious and broth was not too oily or salty. The sauce on the chicken was quite tasty. The restaurant is small and nicely air conditioned on a warmer day. I would recommend trying this place out if you are feeling for some pho.

My friend and I stopped by on Sunday, 12/1/24, at 12:30p for lunch at Ribs and Broth. My friend visited before and said they had wonderful Pho dishes. We were seated and given our menus. My friend ordered the Steak Pho and also added Tofu to it. She also had the Combo Banh Mi. She loved the broth and steak with tofu along with her Banh Mi. She took home 1/2 of her Banh Mi for later. She also ordered a fried rice plate to take home for her son.I ordered the BBQ Pork & Spring Rolls Vermicelli. The serving sizewas substantial and the flavoring of the pork and the crispness of the spring roll and nuts with the sauce and the vermicelli and vegetables combined for a well rounded and seasoned and textured bite. I also ordered their Vietnamese coffee drink that was perfectly sweet with the robust coffee taste, that I look forward to. I also got a Combo Banh Mi to go.Ribs and Broth is a fabulous Vietnamese restaurant. I will definitely be back to try their Pho dishes the next time I'm in Waipahu.

The third Ribs and Broth has opened. Let's just say, founding family and family dynamics aside, each has become different from the other. At the core, the same basic menu but different levels of success.Waipahu showcases a tighter menu with less selections. Dishes pack solid flavor. The pho, very good with braised beef and offal all in an aromatic, deep beefy broth. The difference, MSG. The broth is loaded. The OG in Wahiawa prided itself in MSG free pho broth. That said, the big bone beef ribs, short ribs and oxtails remain easy favorites for beefy overload.Same solid, house made spring rolls. Same solid basic broken rice dishes with well marinated and grilled pork chops.Service is extremely friendly and Asian efficient.Prices at this location are lower than the Wahiawa and Waikiki location but the amount of braised beef in the premium offerings has also been cut down. Still, more than enough for the average diner to suffer a kanak attack after eating.Putting personal preference for MSG free dishes aside, Ribs and Broth Waipahu sits as one of the best spots in Leeward Oahu for pho.

My husband and I went to Ribs & Broth by chance and thought it would be nice to check it out since they have an interesting menu and good reviews. We were supposed to go to another restaurant choice, but it was unexpectedly closed. Luckily, this place turned out to be a great alternative, especially with the rainy weather perfect for Pho.We started with the calamari appetizer. The breading was light, crunchy, and not oily. It has a dipping sauce that had a unique twist, sweet, almost aioli-like mayo. For the entrees, I ordered the Beef Back Ribs Pho. It was served in a classic pho bowl with a generous portion. My husband and I were able to share a bowl and it kept us both full. The beef ribs is da bomb! It came with two big beef bone ribs, and the meat is tender with the meat practically falling off the bone. The broth is absolutely ono and has rich flavor.Hubby ordered the garlic fried rice and honey garlic chicken and I was able to try some of it. The chicken had the same breading as the calamari. The sauce is sweet and flavorful. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Although the portion wasn't huge, the quality and taste more than made up for it.Service was friendly, attentive, and prompt. I truly enjoyed our foods and we will definitely be back.

11/9/24 @ 1648The place was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. Our waiter was always smiling and attentive to our needs. Ordered the BBQ Pork Bahn mi and the Pork Belly Bahn mi. The food came out really quick. The spring rolls came out first and was the perfect size however the lettuce to spring roll ratio was off, but that's ok the spring roll was good even without the lettuce. The Bahn Mi was delicious. The bread was toasted and they didn't skimp out on the meat. Very tasty. Will be back to try the other menu items

We were able to eat here thanks to the place we wanted to eat at in Waipahu originally being closed for a special event that day. This restaurant was for us. I don't think I've ever seen a big beef bone pho so we ordered that. I also ordered the fried calamari, honey garlic chicken with a side of fried rice, vienamese coffee. The pho was able to feed my wife and I. I asked for an extra bowl to share. The meat on the bones were super soft and tasted great with hoisin added on the meat directly. The chicken plate was on the smaller side but there is something about that sauce that just keeps you putting more in your mouth. The calamari was good as well as the sauce was good here as well.I believe this restaurant is a master at sauce and broth because those took the proteins to another level. We'll definitely come back as this kind of pho may not be ananywhere else plus their amazing sauces!

I am speaking on behalf of my family of 6 with 4 of my children being 6 and under. We decided to come here because we heard everyone raving about it.1. First thing I notice is how small the place is. This is NOT why I am giving it a low rating as this is just cosmetic and there is no changing this. But for the family's like mine. Each table sits only 4 and there is no way for you to combine tables because of the layout of the room. My entire family squeezed in on one table.2. The server gave us only three waters. I had to ask for more for my kids. I am unsure why I had to ask for water.3. We ordered two combo pho... came out almost immediately... Luke warm. Not even steam was coming from it. I didn't have to blow it for my 2.5 year old and he always asks me to do that for him. We were hungry and in a time crunch so we just ate it.I was already upset with one of my children so I gave this review a day before posting so I wasn't just writing this in a fit.But I would come back here again. We tried it at least.
