Reyn Spooner Ka Makana Ali'i

Awesome sauce!!!!So the other day, Bruddah Fran was reading da newspaper & came across a Reyn Spooner pop-up ad.......and for you non-locals, the legendary Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirt is probably da standard for the Hawaii business man!Over the years, the price of a Reyn Spooner shirt went up a bit (about $120.00 now) from the dayz when I bought my first Reyn Spooner at $55.00 over 30+ years ago. Some people may think the price of a Reyn Spooner shirt is a wee bit steep, but what you don't know is if you buy the cotton/polyester blend shirt, not only do you not have to iron the shirt after washing it, but if you hand wash this shirt, it can easily last over 25+ years, depending on how you care for it.I wanna give a Supah BIG SHOUT OUT to the staff at this particular Reyn Spooner store at the Ka Makana Ali'i location for their EXCELLENT customer service, and for making a challenging situation a positive one!Why do I say this???Well, on the opening day of this big sale, for some strange reason the inventory was not delivered on time, rendering the store with barely anything to sell to the public.When I walked into the store, the friendly sales associate explained to the crowd of what had happened with their delivery and profusely apologized to the crowd. From there, he offered to take down names & phone numbers so that he could call each customer when the inventory arrived, plus offering the customers a 15% discount over the sale price of the shirt. Can we say DEALAGES Yo!!!If customers did not want to drive back to the store to shop, he even offered a virtual shopping experience via phone, and then you can pay with your credit card.So AWESOME the customer service, and I wished I had gotten the nice gentleman's name who offered all of this, as it made my shopping experience such a positive experience!

Drove all the over here to get the new Truest collab shirt only to find out this is the only store that was closed in the entire mall. What a bummer. I'll just got to Ala Moana where they stay open later.

I just had to write a review for this shop because of the awesome customer service experience I had at this Reyn Spooner.First of all, I'm stoked to have a Reyn Spooner at Ka Makana Ali'i because of its location on the west side, which makes it much more convenient for me.Secondly, the customer service here is superb and they truly know their stuff. I've worked with a few people there and they are always helpful and was able to help me with a shirt to pick for my photo shoot in Paris with my other half. This review is focused on my experience I had with the sales rep, David. I came into Reyn looking for a shirt that would fit a "Vintage Hawaii" theme for my upcoming Merrie Monarch Viewing party. I also knew I wanted a fitted or"Tailored" fit shirt. For men's shirts - there are two types: Tailored and Classic, which is more of an open shirt. David was quick to know what shirts would fit best. He provided me 3 options with an in-depth background of each shirt print, which really awed me that Reyn Spooner shirts are not just about fashion and style but also history and culture, which I thoroughly enjoyed.After David explained me this, he also gave me a background of Reyn Spooner and the true history behind the store. It felt like I went to a museum and really saw what Reyn Spooner had to offer to its customers. Props to David for really taking the time to listen to my preferences, getting the exact products that met my needs and just really help me out in picking a great shirt that I know will stand out from other Aloha shirts!

My husband is obsessed with this store & can never resist going in despite his closet full of Reyn Spooner shirts. Reyn spooner shirts are always recognizable & I love their quality. David is knowledgeable and is always full of compliments, his customer service is fantastic. One of the few times I walked in alone without my husband, i was purchasing a birthday gift FOR him. The shirt I loved didn't have his size, but David pulled out one from his personal stash & let me have it with the support of his manager Tanya. Long story short, my husband loved his gift & I couldn't have asked for better service.Check them out, you won't regret your buying experience.

So I grew up on the Big Island and when I heard Reyn Spooner came out with a Volcanoes National park design aloha shirt, I knew instantly what to get my dad for Christmas. After lunch, my hubby and I headed over and was instantly greeted by a friendly older lady when we walked in. I never got her name, but she was attentive to all customers in the shop. The store was very neat and orderly and she was super helpful in getting my dads shirt and assisting my hubby with selecting his shirt. My hubby's birthday is coming up, and since we were there, I told him to get a shirt to wear for his birthday. At the checkout, the lady also gave me a gift box for my dad's shirt and also told me how to wash and care for the shirts. I came out of the store happy, for I had a stellar retail experience, something rare in today's world. A bonus is if you check in with Yelp, you get 20% off regular priced items.

It was our first time at a Reyn Spooner store. We were to their Ka Makana Ali'i branch in Kapolei. My intention was to just check out the store and browse to see their Aloha shirt collection. Jason, who at the time of our visit was welcoming right as we enter the door. Greeted us with a smile! The store was colorful, clean and most definitely worth checking out. Jason gave us a run down of their collection, store promos and sales as well as letting us in on some of the products and their history. I was impressed by his product knowledge and passion for the brand. We've tried several shirts for fitting and was guided throughout the process. Came in with no intention to buy and came out with four awesome shirts! Jason was amazing in closing the sale, engaging and genuinely helpful with no pressure at all. Most definitely we'll come back soon. Thanks, Jason for all your help!

Every time I come here, the service is excellent. They are super helpful and friendly. They help you find the size you need and always greet you when you enter. There is a good selection of new and older items. There's usually a sale rack for those price conscious shoppers. I also like coming here cause there's usually a lot of parking, as long as you don't park near Cheesecake Factory.

My husband got an aloha shirt as a gift but was too big. I tried exchanging it for a smaller size but the lady at the Kamakana Alii store wouldn't take it as it was purchased more than 30 days ago. I wasn't asking for a refund, just an exchange. They still sold the same shirt at the store (not sale) and yet they would not take back the exchange. I would have completely understood if they no longer carried the shirt or was marked down. In this case it was neither. Bad business

Such wonderful and professional service fromJason today at Reyn's Kapolei makes us want to come back again and again, Love the quality of the products, truly a kamaaina gem!
