I was really looking forward to trying Reecie B's. They had a display of all their food in front of the truck, and I decided to try the bang bang shrimp with fries. The sweet girl taking orders asked "are you ok with heat" I nodded and asked to make the fries extra crispy and she said no problem. After paying, she handed me my ticket and I patiently waited for my plate. It didn't dawn on me when I saw someone bring a bag a fries to the truck after waiting 10 minutes, that perhaps they didn't have fries in the truck and they had to get fries. 10 minutes later, my number is called and the boy handing me my plate says "sorry about the wait". I asked for a fork and headed for a spot in the shade. Yes, it took 20 minutes for crinkled fries and fried shrimp. I sat down, opened the plate and was very disappointed. The fries were cold and soggy, the shrimp were still crispy, but not at all hot, and there was barely any sauce. The 2 stars? well yelp doesn't do half stars, but the order-taker bumped this up from a 1 star experience.

Had their food twice now, overall it's some good food with some eye catching plating. We last stopped in at the Kapolei Commons Big Truck this past weekend. We ordered The Special - tempura, boneless kalbi, on top of noodles without the honey mustard sauce (because of son's allergies). The host was very polite. The tempura was on point and very crunchy. The boneless kalbi was a slight let down, it was more teri beef than kalibi. Lucky I love me some teri beef, except on today's plate it was sorta clumped up and dry. Lucky they top it with Teri sauce, so that helped, just needed more sauce haha. The noodles were just that, noodles without anything tossed in except maybe seasoning and sauce. Again the teriyaki sauce topping helped it out a bit. My son went to town on the plate and we ate almost all except some noodles. If I ever seen them around, I'll definitely try their other options as they had more tantalizing options I was interested in.

Stumbled on Reecie B's Food Truck during a "What the Truck" event in Waikele. The Furikake Seared Ahi Katsu was simply amazing! No wonder why this place is so popular.

Okay okay, this food truck is the truth. I usually don't like eating at food trucks but this place got me convinced that there are hidden gems on wheels. I got the Mean Plate which is fries, noodles, kalbi, and shrimp tempura. The price was a little steep but it was worth it in my opinion. The noodles had lots of flavor, the shrimp tempura was perfect crisp and soft meat that melted, and the fries were a perfect crisp. The sauce was ono and it infused with the fries. My only complaint is that i didn't have more. The kalbi was a bit overcooked but it still tasted good. The service was great, aunty was super nice. This is a good spot if you're looking for something fast and lots of flavors. Overall food was 4.8/5. I would go back here and try their fries and poke.

Never ordering from them again. Ordered food far in advance for my event and they never got back to me. The food wasn't even what I ordered and the lady gave me half cooked stuff which I'm assuming was from rushing. Everyone in the truck gave a super sketchy vibe and this truck was a huge waste of my time and money. The food was mediocre and I was really disappointed since I've heard good things about them. Rude, lied, and overpriced. More of a take your money and not deliver what's promised kind of service. Even the lady's "kindness" was over exaggerated and phony, she was being real sarcastic and making up stories to cover her incompetence. I suggest if you haven't already paid, take your business elsewhere because you probably won't get what you paid for!

I saw Reecie B's at the Honolulu Night Market in Kaka'ako. I had their D.T.S. which was Boneless Kalbi atop a bed of Fried Noodles atop a bed of French Fries.

This food truck has become our favorite in the past year. We've seen this truck at events like Full Moon Market at Residence Inn, What The Truck at Waikele, and recently at the Kapolei Hale Christmas block party. This time around we try to get their early right after they set up. They always have a line and sell out. The portions are big and worth the price! If you like Hawaiian Filipino food like us, definitely look out for this yellow truck. It's going places ... hopefully in the direction of a retail spot and until that day comes, we will check it out. Can't wait to see you at the next event.

Tried this food truck for the first time at the What the Truck's event at Waikele and had the furikake seared ahi katsu. It looked Ono so I thought I'd try it. It tasted good, but shortly after just eating a few pieces, I had the worst food poisoning ever. Threw up on my drive home and had the runs (sorry tmi). Maybe it was just a bad batch since it was close to their closing time

Ordered Da Special ($20) which had noodles, boneless kalbi, and 3 shrimp tempuras. Not sure if was just me but had 2 others try the boneless kalbi to see if they agreed with me or not. Well, they did agree with me, that was not kabli, that was teri beef. That "kabli" was too LEAN and too dry to be called kalbi. Service person was nice and efficient.
