Love the vibes here - usually get lucky with parking and drinks are the best in Chinatown

Cute spot to meet friends for drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating, airy and breezy throughout which is a nice change from the closed in stuffy environment of some Chinatown bars. Friendly staff, cool music and mellow vibes!

While walking through Chinatown to another location, I noticed this place with a red carpet and rope line with music coming from the inside. I stopped real quick and took a look inside, and it looked pretty chill and a cool place to hang out. The security at the front was very friendly and talked up the place. I decided right then that maybe I should check it out. I went inside and found the place to be a really cool location with a live DJ and a great bar and even better the back area lounge, which allowed you to hang out with your friends and talk, but the big plus was they allowed cigars to be smoked out on the open lanai area, which was covered from any rain and had comfy chairs. To my surprise, they even had an individual there from Royal leaf cigars that was selling some of his cigars. So you didn't even need to bring your own, and he had an awesome selection with great prices. The drinks were cold, and the service was on point quick and courteous just the way I like it. Overall, I've been there at least 3 or 4 times now, and this is my new hangout, and it's just a great place. I was talking to one of the owners, and they have a bunch of really cool events coming up with live music and other things such as cigar events. My recommendation is definitely 5 stars, and if you're in the Chinatown area, if you just want to chill night out, definitely get by there. I'm sure you'll like it. Thanks again, guys!

I dropped in on a weekend night. This bar has excellent owners and an excellent ambiance. Plus I got to try a cigar at their outdoor lounge.,

I was very pleasantly surprised when a friend invited me to join him at Red Bar for some "Pau Hana" cocktails and to "talk story" in old downtown Honolulu. It was not what I had expected as the staff that greeted us was very welcoming and accommodating. The cocktail menu was one of those that you wanted to try them all.... eventually. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect for winding down after a long day of work or whatever you may have been doing and spending time with friends. I can go on and on about how I really was surprised and enjoyed my experience at Red Bar and give all the stars that you can possibly give, but you must really try it for yourself to get the full effect. I expect there are more things to come...

I noticed this spot in Chinatown and stopped by with some friends. This place was the most fun by far. This is the kind of place you look for in Honolulu but can never seem to find. You can party or just chill out, drink, and smoke cigars, depending on what you're in the mood for. It is definitely not a tourist trap. It is a place to have a good time. The selection of drinks (and selection of cigars) is second to none. Very impressive. I could bring a date here or just bring the boys. I loved the drinks dedicated to the military. As a Marine I cracked up when I saw the "Chesty Puller" on the menu so I had to try it. It was awesome. Goodnight Chesty Puller, wherever you are. I saw some Army guys ordering an Army drink so it is a great spot for those who serve. The owners are vets from what I was told. Nobody is getting too rowdy just a great time. I recommend this spot 100% to anyone, military or not. A must stop when in Chinatown. I will definitely go back.
