Quality Surfboards is one of the best bang for your buck rental spots around Waikiki. We compared several spots and this place had the best deals.They do rentals for beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach necessities - aside from surfboards.Staff is amazing at making recommendations and is incredibly helpful and kind.I recommend this spot if you're visiting Waikiki and looking for quality rentals.

In Waikiki and want to rent a surfboard, then Quality Surfboards Hawaii is a great choice. Especially if you know what you're doing and want to try different boards. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you can't beat the rental prices for the quality of surfboards they have to choose from. Plus they will include either a car roof carrier or wheeled dolly as part of the price. They also provided some wax for use while we had their boards. Great experience!

These guys are awesome. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff, and the boards are excellent quality with a great selection. They even had my Bobby quad shortboard! Location is great and prices are super reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Rented a paddle board for my mom and I to use on Hiltons duke lagoon and it was so easy! Pleasant experience renting and is a great price $45 for the whole day. Also open later (8pm) than most places by the beach which close around 4 pm. They require a card on hold and can hold your belongings for you while you are on the water.Since not right on the beach does require about a 10 minute walk to the water but they provide you with wheels for the board and make it super easy.

Absolutely amazing service here. I have been renting boards from here since 2020 and they have never disappointed me, from the board choice/ quality to customer service. Owen and Rob were friendly, helpful and made me feel valued as a customer. The vibe of the surf shop is friendly and accommodating. I cannot recommend the quality surf/ big skate guys enough. Over the past week I have been trying to troubleshoot what is wrong with my longboard, I had suspected it was the disintegrated pivot cups. My uncle suggested hitting up big skate shop in town in the wailana building. Off I went and I've been incredibly happy with the results. Joey and Tim helped me on separate days and were so patient with me. Joey spent over 40 minutes explaining the type of trucks my board needed, helped me look up the parts and tried to replace the pivot cups. I ended up ordering a different set, getting the hardware and multi tool from Big Skate. If you need skate gear and knowledgeable good dudes, this is the place to stop by. I will 100% be back in the future!

Best experience, we only stayed in Waikiki for two days and we wanted to spend our last day snorkeling, we only spent $10 for gear all day and got our mask, snorkel, fins, and defogger in less than 5 minutes, service was great and would 1000% recommend. You pay when you come back and just make sure you rinse out your gear. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in Waikiki!

Best deal on the island, especially if you're not a beginner - their board selection is excellent. Ken and the crew were attentive, actually cared about the kind of surfing I wanted to do, and hooked me up with a beautiful board. Had some excellent sessions on it.Even when I'm staying far away, I'll walk 30 mins+ to pick up a board from this spot instead of getting gouged elsewhere. I was super stoked to have rented a board from quality surfboards. It was my first time surfing Hawaiis south shore and was not able to bring my own boards. Their boards were just like my boards back home and were in great condition.
