My husband is from El Salvador, and we're very spoiled by my mother in laws pupusas. We were driving to the north shore when I saw half a sign in the highway. Didn't see the truck that day. Finally went by again say the truck and immediately made a U-turn. It's hard to find good Latin/Mexican food on the islands but this hands down was very authentic. We were a group of 16, and I will say we bought some of the items out. I tried the pupusas (revueltas) and the corn. Both were delicious. The salsa was also amazing. I will say I would have liked more filling, but as I stated I'm very spoiled to how my MIL makes them. Reasonable price. I'm Mexican and I would say skip the Mexican places in Oahu and go here instead. They did have an issue with their generator while we were there but the guys in our group quickly helped the older gentleman.

Stopped here on the way back from Haleiwa. We ordered the bean, pork and chicken. Definitely a corn taste....BUT WHERE'S THE FILLING???? Extremely disappointed that there was possible a tablespoon and a half of filling?!!! and $5 for each pupusa! I wouldn't mind paying the price and waiting for 15 -20 minutes, but soooo disappointed! The cold slaw was good as well as the spicy sauce in the little container. We wanted so much to support these small businesses, but sadly will not return.

Pupusas bien ricas en Oahu! Don't be fooled by this food truck on the side of the road! Their pupusas are delicious! It's great to see my people everywhere hustling and sharing the greatness of pupusas! Oh and the corn was good too.

Pupusas just like they should be . Flavorful , and perfectly cooked. Curtido (pickled cabbage) makes the total package just like my family back home and or in El Salvador make them .Authentic eats!!Will return next month on vacation with family.

I bought a dozen pupusas pork & cheese for a party & they were a disappointment. Sonia the lady that owns the place seems like a very nice person. I'm not sure if this is regional for El Salvador but the Pupusas had no flavor very little meat or cheese. The tortilla was nice, but there was nothing inside of it that would constitute as pork or cheese. The curtido was also bland. Very disappointing if you're representing our country, but Pupusas don't taste good. If you want to try them, feel free, but they don't represent what a pupusa should taste like

Today I had the best Pupusas on the island with my friend and her family that are visiting from the East Coast. They are Colombian and Puerto Rican and they even said the Pupusas were AUTHENTIC and DELICIOUS!! We tried all the flavors except pork and they were all so fresh and soooo tasty! The owners gave the best service! Sonya makes the Pupusas from scratch. They have everything ready and you can watch her making it. I love the simple set up with the tent and two tables:) they even played some music! I'm from here and now that I know about this place I'll be coming back for more.

How do you explain chillin on the side of the road with some pupusas?! Just kidding. During summer break a college friend invited a group of us to try authentic pupusas and told us it reminded her of home. I've always wanted to try pupusas since I've met people from all over the globe I know that because I can't just go to other places... but I can definitely taste their food! Anyways. Back to pupusas. They are made at the truck stop in front of you.., and fair warning, if you go during lunch time or towards closing time, you will have to be patient! But I'll say.. it's definitely worth the wait. The cabbage mixture that goes on the pupusas and the verde (?) sauce, I really enjoy driving here from Waianae weekly !Side note, this is El Salvadoran food.., don't mix it up with just straight up "Mexican" because they speak Spanish. The horchata is a little different no leche in theirs. But i still enjoy ordering a cup everytime I arrive as well

Pass by this place while entering wahiawa on Kamehameha highway.Ordered one of each. Also ordered elotes. Called in order at 3:30pm Cook/owner is Sonja said she'll wait for me to get there. Was ready in 20mins. Food was simple, fresh and homemade. Salsa is medium heat.Cabbage is lightly salted. Second time trying pupusas. We enjoyed the simple taste. The taste is like a cross between a tamal and a gordita. Chicken and cheese was our favorite. Elote, was simply dressed in a crema. Took it home and jazzed it up. The corn was fresh and sweet! There are some tables, chairs and tents set up outside food truck to eat there.Overall, nice people. Love supporting small businesses!

As a Salvadoran visiting from Los Angeles, I HAD to try these pupusas while visiting the North Shore. These pupusas were amazing, I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic flavor! Wait time wasn't long, customer service was great. Very friendly. She's also from my hometown, Santa Ana. Wonderful to see comfort Salvadoran food in Hawaii.
