Just look for the Blue Door...As what's behind it is a lovely shop filled with all things smiles, I came to browse around for a friend's birthday and instantly walked in to see a wall of vases arranged by colors alone just captured my attention which is a great base to start the process of build with selection getting this indecisive mindset in trouble lol!I decided to browse the various merchandise they have including some super cute hair clips, and various self care items that really brings on such a calming vibe while still maintaining a floral sense of it all is very cute and sweet. There's a display case filled with leis and various flowers but what really got me are the flowers rack filled with various blooms so beautiful and perfect the pink carnation got me instantly as it was her favorite color to then what else to add...as I went in different directions it was the protea as the gradient shades of yellow and orange created that sunset vibe as the staff helped me arrange it all. I decided to not go with any vase as some of the blooms were on the pricey side though let me tell you as you can feel the quality of it all even as it took it home in this hot Hawaiian heat it maintained its beauty.I adore this shop as it made finding what you need so easy yet unique and you're able to order online as well but I do love to give them a visit in Kaimuki to create your own me time.Thank you!

Pua Hana is my favorite floral shop for specialty leis, floral arrangements, and fun accessories. From greetings cards to jewelry, they have such a unique and eclectic selection of vibrant goods. Their leis and arrangements are absolutely stunning and perfect for any occasion. I've sourced them for several events and holidays and they've always done an incredible job with everything and have the highest quality of product. Recently, I purchased a Christmas inspired arrangement and a wreath to take to my mom's grave and it was such a beautiful display. Their team member did such a wonderful job helping me put this together.

Before I even had the door half way open, she greeted me. I was looking for a lei (last minute). There was only three leis in the refrigerated box. There was another review that said this shop was on the pricey side. She is correct. There was a purple bozu lei that was priced at $60. I was kinda surprised, when I looked at it I could see the threading, it was not tightly held together. I remember when my mother had this growing in our yard, maybe I should start to grow them again. I remember in the 1970s coming to this shop for buttonnieres. When I mentioned it to her she said when they rented it the shop before was an ice cream shop. So how nice that it is returning to its old self. She did offer to make me a fresh lei if I could come back, which was nice of her. But didn't have the time

Pua Hana is a very small lei shop on Waialae Avenue. I love Kaimuki and would love to support this business more often because they make beautiful unique lei that I've seen on their IG, but I wonder if they make those lei to order because I didn't see any of them when I went into the shop on afternoon. The parking is decent, but I would t come too late because it shares a parking lot with XO. In fact, I remember when the space Pua Hana is in used to be an ice cream shop. and XO wasn't there yet either. But now that XO is kind of popular, I don't think it helps the parking situation. There's also metered street parking. I walked in at about 5pm because I was going to an evening high school performance and needed to pick up a lei before I went. Thankfully there was a single ilima lei left in the refrigerated display. It was nothing special and I paid $38 for it. It's a little steep and I wish they had made it a little more unique, otherwise I would have just gotten a lei at longs. Oh well. They have some other cute things to buy, like candles, cards, vases and dried flowers... but not a great selection of lei for a lei shop during graduation season :(

Pau Hana is a charming flower, lei, and gift shop in Kaimuki, and it's safe to say that I'm completely smitten! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the aesthetic and cute decor of the shop. It's a small space, but it's packed with beautiful and unique items that make it a must-visit spot in the area.Pau Hana is a bit on the pricier side, but it's totally worth it for the quality of the items and the overall shopping experience. It's become a tradition of mine to stop by Pau Hana first when I'm in the area, and then circle back after browsing other shops to make my final purchases. I want to make sure that I'm getting exactly what I want and that it's well-protected while I'm walking around. The shop is like a little botanical oasis, with fresh flowers for bouquets and leis bringing life to the space. I love that the flowers change with the seasons, so there's always something new and exciting to see. They also have a beautiful selection of dried flower arrangements that are perfect for home decor. In addition to the flowers, Pau Hana offers a variety of locally made ceramics and gifts that are unique and beautiful. I recently purchased a shaka ceramic that I love using to hang my leis after wearing them. It's the perfect way to showcase the beautiful leis that I'm always so lucky to receive. If you're looking to order leis, bouquets, or flower arrangements, Pau Hana has you covered. You can easily order online and pick up or have them delivered within two days. The floral designs on the website are absolutely stunning and I can't wait to order more for myself and for gifts.Pau Hana is a gem of a shop that I can't recommend enough. The friendly staff, beautiful flowers, and unique gifts make it a must-visit spot in Kaimuki.

Over several years, my go to florist in HNL for floral niche settings. Beautifully arranged settings. Timely and reliable delivery. And even receiving a photo of the setting-in-place. Thank you, Pua Hana!

Unfortunately, the owner had a very negative attitude. I asked if I could have a look at her shop, but she refused to allow me to come into her store and used profanity. She then threatened to call the police on us and another potential group of customers. Very surprised as every store I've been to in Hawaii has been wonderful and the staff have been friendly and welcoming. I see there's quite a few other negative reviews mentioning her terrible attitude, so I guess there's a pattern and it wasn't an outlier. Such a shame!UPDATE: After posting this review, the owner chased us down to other nearby stores and yelled at us and the locals confirmed that they have had similar, negative interactions with her. So unfortunately, it seems the owner's service won't change after this review.

So good I can back the next day for another dinner. I had the salmon and the calamari steak. Both were excellent. Huge plates of food. Right on the Mariana with live music. Love it.
