Pua Cake Studio Hawaii

We wanted to get some cupcakes for our daughter's 5th birthday and didn't want to get a store bought package with tons of sugary icing, we wanted to get ones with real buttercream frosting.We also didn't want to get a super fancy cupcake flavor wise, we wanted just plain vanilla or chocolate. After sampling 5 different cupcake places (we like to have excuses to eat cupcakes), our family all liked Pua Cake Studio's cupcakes the best. The texture, flavor, and decoration were perfect.We got 3 dozen mini chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, and one dozen mixed fruit mini cupcakes. They were a huge hit at the party and several parents were asking where we got the cupcakes from. The kids were too busy eating cupcakes to talk.We ordered them online a week in advance and went to pick it up on a Saturday. There was a small hiccup with our order but the owner quickly got us the correct order and threw in some extra cupcakes to apologize for the mixup. She was extremely helpful and nice. For me, mistakes are always possible, it's how a business deals with a mistake that counts!I would highly recommend Pua Cake Studio! It's a local business that is run with care and their quality is wonderful.

The brides were in love with the cake Pua Cake Studio made for their special day. She was able to create for them the perfect cake from a Pinterest selection they had and the color theme I provided. And it worked perfectly with the topper I had made. My son is wanting me to order again, so it looks like I'll be getting a cake for my birthday this December. Or at least cupcakes.

My co-worker brought cake from here and it was deeeeviiinnnee! Very soft creamy and not too sweet. I believe the flavor was Lilikoi. I hardly taste a cake like this. Even some of the custom made cakes from expensive bakeries don't taste this good. I definitely will need to stop by when I'm in that side of the island!

Hands down one of the best cakes I've ever had. We had a friend over for dinner and he brought an awesome cake from Pua Cake Studio. I've never heard of Pua Cake Studio until today. Our friend is from Wahiawa and Pua Cake Studio is also in Wahiawa. He brought a vanilla confetti sprinkle cake. It was a cute cake with cute balloon decorations and stars on it. My daughter loves balloons so she loved the balloon decorations. She made sure she took off all the balloons off the cake before we put the leftovers back in the fridge. The cake's diameter isn't as big as those cakes from Zippys or other places, but the cake is built high. You just need a sliver of it feel satisfied. The whole cake is delicious but what makes it stand out the most from others is the frosting. At most places that I get cake or cupcake from, they have a ridiculous amount of frosting on it. I usually just scrape the frosting off because it's just so sweet. Pua Cake Studio's frosting is nothing like that. It's light and it's not just piled on. I didn't feel like overly bloated or like I ate massive amounts of sugar. It was very tasty. We still have half the cake left and I'm looking forward to eating it again.I checked out their website and it looks like they also offer cupcakes too. I'd like to try that one day soon. Stop by if you're ever in the Wahiawa neighborhood, it's definitely worth it.

Quick take: This place is a gem!!!Pua Cake Studio specializes in custom cake orders. This place is located in a spot without tourists and tucked away from all the over hyped touristy places. No frills small strip of businesses off of S. Kamehameha Hwy/ Olive Ave.We ordered a Lilikoi (passion fruit) cupcake, Strawberry cupcake and a Vanilla cupcake. The frosting is made of flavored buttercream.The cake was super moist and not overly sweet. Each flavor had a puree in the middle of the cupcake. These are probably the best cupcakes that I've every eaten. I might regret sharing this secret with y'all. :)

These are the most gorgeous cupcakes ever -- they are hand-piped perfection! Pua Cake Studio just opened a new little shop in Wahiawa and it's beautiful in there (I love the lovely floral murals)! I tried the vanilla, strawberry, lilikoi, toasted coconut, chocolate, and mocha coffee cupcakes. My favorite was the Lilikoi. It had a little bit of lilikoi filling in the center too which was a nice citrusy surprise! My second favorite was the chocolate. I liked that the icing is buttercream instead of typical cupcake frosting (it's rich and buttery instead of overly sweet). The owner Jayme is as sweet as her cupcakes She also has other goodies like macarons, cookies, and custom cakes too! I love supporting local, wahine-owned small businesses and her treats are truly stunning!!

This is a hidden gem right after the Walgreens in Wahiawa. The driveway is small and can be missed if you aren't paying attention. I arrived on Saturday at about 12 and there was ample parking even though the lot was small. I purchased 4 cupcakes. Each had a moist cake and smooth buttercream frosting. The chocolate raspberry had fresh raspberries in the middle of the cupcake. The cupcake and frosting were just right- not too sweet. They need to be left out for a little so the buttercream can soften. I will definitely be back for a cupcake fix. I would like to try her cake next time.

My experience with Pua Cake Studio was really great. My partner and I had taste tested a few other popular bakeries for our wedding, but felt were too sweet, too dry, or too wet. Jayme, the owner, was incredibly nice and responsive throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond in service and also accommodated our request for a cake that was less sweet with lilikoi and red velvet flavors. Our wedding cake was delicious - not only authentically flavorful, but perfect balance of sweetness and moistness. They also use real butter for their butter cream. It was my 70th birthday in September and my daughter who lives in CA sent me through Door Dash the 12 mini cupcakes (toasted coconut, strawberry and lilikoi). OMG, they were the best thing I ever tasted in my whole life. I wanted to share them with my husband but I confess I ate most of them myself (over several days, of course!) They were so moist, the buttercream frosting was to die for and the little injection of strawberry, lilikoi curd in the middle of the cupcakes was such a refreshing surprise. I highly recommend Pua Cake Studio! You won't want to go anywhere else!!!

Got strawberry cupcake and lilikoi cupcake from a table at a craft fair at Ward and it was SOOO ono!! So flavorful and it has yummy jam in the middle with a light soft but firm buttery frosting. The cake was delicious! Super recommend. They had samples too so you can try and know you'll like it already lol.
