Prisma Dance

My daughter attended Prisma for a year, age 3-4. She liked going to class, but it just never really felt like a family. She also trains jiujitsu and we know everyone and their parents' names. Just not the feel we get here. Nothing bad, it was just our experience.

My daughter attended Prisma Dance for one month (Aug 2021) and loved it! Miss Nicole was absolutely wonderful with the kids. It was a really hard decision to pull her out and we decided to do so because of covid. The studio doesn't have any safety precautions in place. They don't take temps, they don't wear masks, and they don't social distance the kids. I would be more comfortable if the room was well ventilated but it's not. There's also a waiting room where parents can wait and watch through a glass and parents aren't required to wear masks either. One of the last days we were there the mother sitting next to me was sniffing every 10 seconds.

I am such a bad Yelper for not yelping in like forever and totally losing my fluency in Yelpanese or is it Yelpish....whatever it's just been forever and I haven't been this excited to post a review since my Kawaii Kon reveiw but let's just leave my anime antics on the side and talk about this awesome dance studio. (Sorry for all the grammar gurus out there. Run on sentences the horror)I have to say God totally set this up with me finding this place in the first place. It all started with my neighbor mentioning that his fiancee daughter goes to ballet and thought that my younger daughter would enjoy it. Being that she's such a girly girl that loves unicorns, rainbows, butterflies, and Jesus he thought she would love ballet. I mean what girly girl doesn't want to be a ballerina or princess right?! So I started my search and stumbled upon Prisma Dance. A "Christ-centered dance training" studio. I found a ballet class right away but guess what....I also found they had a HIP HOP class! Seriously you would not find HIP HOP affiliated with Jesus ever but this place had a HIP HOP class that I thought would be perfect for my older daughter. I also have been in the search for a dance studio with a Hip Hop class that would teach my older daughter dance moves with.."class" and be "appropriate". Let's be real here that the music and the current dance moves are not "the best". I in no way want my daughter to portray or encourage her to dance like that.A few days later to make long story short I actually ran into Nicole and she shared about Prisma and about their recent mission trip to India. Immediately I knew that both my daughters need to be a part of the Prisma family.My daughter's first day of Hip Hop class we got confused where the entrance was and a couple moms welcomed my daughter and I and showed us where to go. Nicole wasn't at the studio yet so the moms actually took my daughter and introduced her to the Hip Hop instructor Henry. Everyone there was so warm and friendly. Some of the kids came up to my daughter and took initiative to introduce themselves. My younger daughter has yet to go to her first ballet class but I'm sure she'll have a blast. She already has a great connection with Nicole and adores her.For anyone looking for a dance studio that will encourage your children in the Lord this is the place be!

I can't say enough about this studio. My daughter learned so stinkin much while dancing under Francesca and Nicole. They truly made her LOVE dancing. Prisma is a top notch ballet and dance studio. My family has recently moved back to the mainland due to military reasons, and we really miss the quality and professionalism of the Prisma dance studio. What I miss most of all is the commitment Nicole and her team showed to our kids by making dance fun, but insisting on strong technique and form all the while. I completely recommend this studio if you have any doubts about where you'd like your child to start dancing.

Great people and awesome ballet lessons for our daughter! Faith based and so awesome they start their lessons with a morning reading and would play Christian songs for the lessons. Our daughter has definitely benefitted in the coordination department from her ongoing training! If you're thinking about it, I wouldn't hesitate to bring your child here!

Even going here for a month. My 5 year old loves it. It's so encouraging and inspiring. Ms Nicole is great with the kids and you can tell everyone here has a love for dance and ballet!! Best decision to enroll my daughter here!

Amazing studio. Wonderful classes and dance productions. My daughter has loved learning and dancing here for over 5 years. The teachers are top notch as well as caring and talented.

My daughter has been going here for years, her teacher Ms. Nicole is the best! She really cares for the students and her stewardship is very inspiring.

We love this studio! The instructors are amazing, well trained, and encouraging. We love that they put God as the center of all discipline so the kids learn to do their very best for the Lord and use their God-given talents and abilities to bless the Lord in return as well as those that will watch them perform. The training and technique is given by top notch instructors and the atmosphere cultivated is positive and uplifting.

My girly-girl 5-year old watched the movie "Leap!" and was instantly obsessed with ballet. I searched for a studio and found Prisma Dance and decided to enroll her in the free trial class. We came, met Miss Nicole and my daughter fell in love with the class. You can tell Miss Nicole is a genuinely sweet and kind person. We are four classes in and my daughter absolutely loves coming every week. For military families, it's very comparable and affordable. They do check your temperature at the front. In the parent waiting area, masks aren't required but all the parents have been wearing them. The kids don't wear masks during instruction.
