Pre Storage

Very unassuming late night Japanese spot. Walked by this spot many times thinking it was a storage place, but when you walk inside it's a small Japanese bar with karaoke rooms available. Speakeasy vibes. Server mentioned they have been open since 2019. We unexpectedly stopped by for a few drinks with friends. I tried the Kiwami Lemon Sour ($12) and it tasted good. If you prefer a certain drink not listed on the menu, ask if they can make for you. They were able to accommodate our friend and make him Old Fashioned. Affordable spot.The service was attentive and friendly. Our server let us talk and enjoy our drinks for a while without bothering us too much. Relaxing spot! Did not try the food, next time!

Crazy! I didn't even know this place existed. Opened up in 2019 right before the pandemic! This place is small with 2 karaoke rooms. They are known for their lemon sour but their other ours aren't too bad too! The wait staff was very attentive and so worth it to go. The prices weren't too high and the tastes were so worth it.

An unassuming (from the outside) Japanese bar and karaoke spot tucked away in the corner of the building that Texas Fujiyama is located. Would have never known about Pre Storage if it wasn't for friends, who also found it through a friend. Inside, there's a bar with counter seating and a few tables. Around the corner, there's two karaoke rooms, a small one that they say fits 7 people, but my friend says is tight. Probably better for 4-5 for comfortable space. The large room is big. We had 10 people, and there was still a lot of room. Plus, there were about 4 square seats on the side for even more people. I was impressed with how exceptionally clean the establishment is. None of those sticky song/artist books or dingy furniture. The entire place is light and modern. The room had top-notch karaoke tech, tho they didn't have all the songs we were looking for. Didn't get to see the ladies room that everyone mentioned had to be seen, so next time.And there will be a next time. Maybe not karaoke as the large room was a $100/hour , but the late-night menu is worth pushing bedtime back an hour or so. Food is not the typical bar food. There's a mix of Japanese snacks like takoyaki, and other dishes with an Asian influence. Their miso ramen (individual sized for $10 and only served after 11:30pm) hit the spot. The broth was rich and thick. Ramen noodles perfectly cooked, and it came with ground pork, corn, and an egg. In addition to the ramen, we tried the mentaiko pasta (different style with a hint of ginger), dry curry rice (Indian style curry and. So flavorful), quail eggs, takoyaki roulette, pizza, fries, and loco moco. For drinks, they have a wide choice. Their lemon sour is popular, as well as their other fruit sours. Some of our party had these huge glasses of a sour, but when we tried to order one, the server said that they only had 3 of the large glasses, so we had to stick with the small glass. Additionally, hubby ordered a beautiful, but what came was not beautiful. For one, it came in what's like a juice glass. The liquor had two layers, one light blue on top and something dark at the bottom. Together, they smelled like cough syrup...again, not beautiful. Might just need to stick with what's on their menu.

I will never able to find this place if wasn't for my Japanese friend lead me to it. What is the name??? Pre Storage??? I can be standing right outside and have not idea this is the place. They are located on the right side of King St. next to Texas Fujiyama. Plenty of parkings. When you go in, there is a bar, we did not eat there, so no idea of the food taste. From what I know, there is a big room $100 per hour and a smaller room $50 per hours that seat 6 people, the room looks clean, remote is easy to use, the mic sound OK. I think they could have added more songs because I can not find some of my songs. Beside singing, you got to check out the toilet. I am not going to tell you any detail, just go check it out, it is like you are going in to Long's drug store, LOL. We spent 2 hours there singing and had a good time. Recommended.

I had saved a photo of Pre Storage many months ago on my phone and always held on to it with the hope of getting around to eating here. Finally got to check it off my list and eat/drink here with some friends. We arrived soon after opening on a Friday evening, so I was expecting a good amount of visitors but only us and another party were there during our time eating. I was very surprised at this, I hope they get more customers but also secretly want the availability for myself. :PService was friendly and helpful. The lemon spurs were fun and refreshing! I was surprised at the options of whiskey, thinking maybe they would have good highballs if they have the lemon sours, but Jameson was the only option provided. We were very surprised by the food and plowed right through it! Everything was friendly for both individuals and shared platters. My favorite dishes were the egg sando (comfort food for me) and chicken wrappers (was a pleasant surprise!). Can't wait to come back here again!

This is not your normal $1/ song karaoke spot. This is a japanese karaoke bar hidden on King St next to Texas Fujiyama (before Wiliwili St). I was invited there for my friend's birthday and we had the big private room that could easily seat 20. Overflow and folks don't want to be singing ended up at the bar outside. Songs selection is not the latest but was told that if you can read Japanese, you can probably find them. What deserves the 5-star is the overall cleaniness, food quality and the service. Not sticky remote and tables are often a good start but a fully stocked toto bidet bathroom kicks it up the notch. I mean other than normal feminine items, there was mouth wash and gummy bears! I mean who doesn't want a quick snack and gummy bear breath singing karaoke?? Never had to really press a button to get a drink, the waiter stopped by to clean and refill water. The private room also has a shelf that has slippers and various drinking games. A group can sing their songs and another can be entertained with their games. Never a dull moment if your song is not up or if you are not into singing except in the shower. Food is not the typical bar fried food. Japanese version of Italian dishes (pizza, pasta, caprese) did not disappoint. Hainanese chicken was a pleasant good surprise. Price point wise is definitely on a higher end (high ball is $18) but a good spot to check out to get over the pandemic funk!

I came here for a friend's birthday. I never knew this place existed! It's in the same building as Fujiyama Texas. There is a bar area as you enter, and a couple of karaoke rooms.I only stayed for a little while, but I was blown away by the hospitality. It is Japanese-owned, and they have a sister restaurant in Japan called Storage. We were greeted as we entered and shown to our party's room. They quickly brought oshibori, or hot hand towels to freshen up.The karaoke system is in Japanese, but they do have some English songs as well. I just didn't know how to navigate the remote because it was mostly in Japanese. I'm not sure if they have English ones too, but it was appropriate for our party, who were mostly Japanese.I only had a couple of drinks. The lemon sour is amazing and super refreshing. There are different versions of the lemon sour, but I only tried the original, most popular one. It's like what I've always wanted lemon drops to taste like, but sooo much better.As we were saying goodbye to our friends and heading out, the owner quickly rushed to the front. As we walked out, we saw him waiting at the door with two small cold bottled waters for us to take for the road! They truly took care of us and made us feel at home!I'll definitely come back here with my Japanese friends for more lemon sours. We came after dinner, so I didn't try the food. I heard the hamburg is good though!
