I've been attending this studio for two years now, and it has changed my life! The instructors provide excellent instruction, and they are very encouraging and caring. I highly encourage those who need to improve their body, balance, and mind to join us in this studio. I am partial to Joji, my teacher who kept me encouraged me throughout my journey. Kudos to the owner Dorian and other teachers whose classes I've also attended.Go and change your life! - Aloha!

I just finished my two week trial and decided to sign up for the membership! I enjoyed the time I spent here at the studio. The main reason why I chose to come here was the proximity to where I live. It's nice to walk here! I didn't have any expectations. I ended up liking it because I felt it's down to earth and the people there were friendly but not overly friendly in your face kind of friendly if you know what I mean lol. I tried a few classes but I personally like Joji's and Andrew's classes most. They're patient and gentle and exude a calmness. And they encouraged yogis to go at their own pace. I'm not a fan of going to a yoga class as a pure workout with a high energy instructor. If I wanted that then I would go to a class at the gym haha. But different people different preference. I'm glad I found some classes that I like. And I hope to explore other classes too when time allows.

My place for yoga whenever I'm visiting. They have 2 locations one across from kahala mall and this one next to ala Moana. They have a parking lot behind the building that's free before 1130. Why come here? Clean studio, solid instruction, and great prices. Walk upstairs and leave your slippers at the entrance (I always smile when I do this - reminds me of my youth like I'm going to someone's house for a party) if you have black locals slippers best put it on the shoe rack or you may be leaving with someone else's pair. They do have mat rental and all the blocks and props. They do aerial as well though haven't tried. I like Dorians hatha / power class. Dorian will push you. After a good warmup we focused on a bunch of arm balances, a few that I've never done before. He did drop a few f-bombs in class, one of the edgier classes I've been to, but his instruction is precise and adjustments safe which is what I come for. The studio is donation based - $15 recommended, $10 minimum (see the sign I posted in this review). Core power down the street charges $30 for drop in - which is highway robbery in my view. Come here for a solid yoga class with Hawaii flair that won't break your wallet

Honestly I was just going to do the two week trial for $20 and never come back... But I fell in love! Especially Joji, he is super warm, friendly, and helpful to everyone of all levels. It's located right above Ichiriki across of the parking lot of Nijiya market. They offer a variety of classes at different times. Definitely recommend everyone to at least try the trial!

Local family owned yoga studio tucked away in the heart of Honolulu. Friendly and knowledgeable teachers who genuinely share their experiences and yoga styles in a easy accessible way for all levels of practitioners. Awesome and great studio to serve beginners to advanced students. Clean, small and cozy. Lots of aloha served daily.

I was contacted by the owner of the studio who asked me to remove this review. He stated the studio does enforce wearing masks in class (I've attached screenshots from an instagram post they uploaded this week, a few days after my first reivew, where there are no masks in sight) and no one at the studio has contracted COVID. I'm glad your studio has not had a case, yet. However, this review is an authentic experience AND I'm not going to risk it when there are dozens of studios that do abide by the law and ensure maximum safety for their clients. Regardless of whether the owner may not believe in the effectiveness of masks, as he noted in his private DM to me asking to remove this review. Which btw, is contrary to all available empirical evidence currently available. As such, I will not remove this review like was requested. People should be able to make an informed decision on whether to visit this studio based on how this studio handles safety and abides by the laws that have ensured Hawaii has the lowest COVID rates in the United States. The owner noted his friend who owns 11 gyms in San Francisco "did his own research" to conclude there is no way to contract COVID at a gym or yoga studio. What research? What education or authority? What access to testing, proper controls, or evidence? I'm sure this "conclusion" didn't come from a place of bias seeing as a business owner in a city with obscenely high COVID cases stemming from the population's selfishness wouldn't have an agenda to dismiss all scientific evidence gathered through legitimate means that concluded masks help inhibit the spread of COVID. Idk, friend who owns 11 gyms seems pretty legit as a scientific authority on virology. It also highlighted the owner's own anti-masker beliefs as he provided a long rant about how masks are ineffective and you cannot be infected with COVID at a yoga or fitness studio. This is patently false. Especially since, in June 2020, one of the largest outbreaks in Hawaii occurred at three separate fitness studios. It was spread by the instructors who infected each other and their clients. Over 30 people tested positive for COVID.To end, the owner is lying. There is no mask policy or enforcement as there are dozens of other instances where Power Yoga Hawaii has had maskless classes as they so proudly advertise via pictures and videos on their instagram and the instagram of their instructors and clients. Whether people decide to visit the studio is up to them, but I just wanted to note that there is a reason Hawaii has the lowest amount of COVID cases per person, and people that flaunt those rules that make Hawaii residents safe are selfish and inconsiderate for the safety and wellbeing of others. Even fellow Hawaii residents are guilty of this.

Beware of deceptive and manipulative tactics The yoga studio is fine... I enjoyed the aerial class but ultimately the studio wasn't for me. My biggest issue is that they are very sneaky in their auto enrollment scheme. I highly recommend signing up for a single class if you want to try it out rather than the $50 trial. They spam you with text messages almost daily and if you don't pay attention you will miss the "If you love the classes & want to continue, you'll roll into membership at 139/month on [...]" text. You have to explicitly tell them to cancel within your 2 week period. If you don't catch this issue early like I did you will be out $300 for 2 months. There's no undoing this and they are happy to provide screenshots of the misleading waiver - which, for the record, is not a safety waiver but an auto enrollment agreement.
