Pono Revival

Living out on the West side and close to agricultural land (a lot of folk live adjacent to agricultural land on Oahu) its a no-brainer to think about water and air quality. Air quality aside, water quality in Hawaii is assumed to be a safe, potable water source which it very well is by national standards.However, in light of all of the concern with the Red Hill spills and a lot of industrial activity going on in both town side and the west side, agricultural activities have been going on much longer and the regulations of such activity came too late, as is always the case.Recent news articles citing the presence of PFAS, pesticides and other organic, stable compounds in groundwater is a cause of concern and you can bet it won't get any better - this is where water filtration comes to play. Some may think that a simple, detachable water filter at the faucet head or a pitcher with a replaceable filter is enough to filter out chemicals that are a cause for concern z and they do, but not all of 'em. You need, at the very least, a reverse osmosis system...this appears to be the most practical and most affordable solution to the issue.Pono revival fills a special niche in water filtration because they focus on (for now) under-the-counter reverse osmosis systems that have a activated carbon pre-filter system, then the reverse osmosis system and finished off with an alkaline mineral injection system which utilized natural sources of alkalinity (i.e., dolomite that contain potassium- and magnesium-bicarbonate) which not only adds great taste but helps to mimic water sourced from natural River beds is, generally, beyond the reach of many city folk on Oahu.Pono Revival was able to concisely explain their processes and capabilitied, their philosophy and were able to answer most, if not partially all of my questions. They are made up of a husband and wife team who are approachable and honest and do not try to sell you a product right off the bat. Instead, they challenge you to something that is very tangible: try their drinking water, as much as you'd like. If you like what you can taste and feel, then you can consider their offerings which include what was mentioned above as well as a water softener attachment for shower heads.Lastly, their system is NSF certified up to the alkaline cartridges which they claim are certified (didn't ask to see the cert.). This system is different from alkaline water which utilize electrolysis to chemically alter water molecules to create alkaline water because you end up with more dissolved solvent (which are unknown). With a reverse osmosis system, you bring that dissolved solvent concentration down to near-zero and inject natural alkaline ions which are bioavailable when ingested with water which supposedly has a myriad of positive health effects.My wife and I opted for the reverse-osmosis system for now and have enjoyed every cup and flask-full. We will consider the water softener at another time - this review may be updated if thats the case.Unfortunately they do not offer whole-home systems and there are other companies that may suit your needs in this regard. In my opinion, Pono Revival offers a quality product, excellent customer service, and look to be a promising company for the future.The install was clean and non-destructive. The owner, himself, came out to replace our old faucet with one that imo is of better quality and has a water spigot (see photos). The holding tank under the sink holds about 3 gallons and can be refilled in about an hour after being emptied. Whats great about this is that you can fill up your bottles and buckets ahead of an incoming storm or other disaster.I highly recommend this company. Visit their shop - at the very least you get a nice, refreshing cup of water.

Before Pono Revival, I remember drinking just "regular filtered water" like everybody else, never really thinking about it but one day I met Ken (the owner). He was very knowledgeable in how water is filtered and how it can be acidic, chemically treated, inadequately purified, or bottled in plastic for years. After he made me aware of these things, I started thinking about how this whole time I've been putting these things in my body. Being a martial artist and an active runner, water is always by my side and is really the only thing I drink besides coffee. After learning that high alkaline, ionized, and hydrogen-rich water is better for my health I decided to invest in one of their under-the-counter systems. The water tastes great (even better when it's cold) and it doesn't have that tap water taste whats soever. Through their 12 step purification stages, my drinking water is filled with the things I need to keep me healthy, energized, and ready for my training. The shipping was fast (HI to CA) and it arrived within the same week, I also picked up a cool water bottle and invested in a showerhead system. It's nice knowing that the water I wash myself with is cleaner than the tap water I've been showering in for years. After all, the skin is the largest organ and it absorbs some of the water you bathe in, might as well have it absorb something cleaner.Overall my family and I are very happy with the knowledge, the systems and the water Pono Revival has provided us with. Great tasting water right here at home.

To say that the customer service here is excellent is a massive understatement. I called several of their competitors, and I'm still waiting to hear back 4 weeks later after Pono has already installed my home system and we are enjoying amazing water. They are prompt, do what they say they will do, and their follow up is incredible. I never thought I would enjoy such amazing service from a water company, but here's to being surprised and now having excellent and safe water for our home.

Tired from buying and re-filling water from the store?I was tried from carrying 24 pack water bottles to my 2nd floor for a family of 5 that went through multiple packs a week. In Hawaii, we have bottle recycling fees and prices of water can be expensive depending on convenience. Faucet water can be hazardous depending on where you live on the island. I knew I needed a better alternative for drinking water. After hearing about Pono Revival and Alkaline & Mineralized water, I was introduced into the best drinking water that can be readily available from home.I purchased the 12 Stage Pono Revival home water filtration system from Ken (owner). He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He was willing to explain the water filtration process and benefits of alkaline water. Since our investment, the Pono Revival home drinking water filtration system has worked great for our family with no issues since we bought it 5 months ago. The system has top quality parts which are made in the USA except for the tank. We moved recently and Ken kindly provided technical support for moving the filtration system.They offer water refill stations and home water filtration systems. Additionally, Ken has quality products like their water bottles (keeps water cold/hot) way longer than Walmart brands. They also offer shower head water filtration systems. I also purchased this to prevent skin breakout and eczema for because of sensitive skin. I have since purchased 3 more water bottles for family members.You can taste the difference when comparing to non-alkaline/mineralized water. I use the water to make tea and can taste the difference. My family and friends tried the difference between store bought brands of water and Pono Revival Alkaline water and they have agreed that Pono Revival water is better. If you are ready to save time, have convenient access to high quality drinking water, you should give Pono Revival water a try!Highly recommend them!

When it comes to water, the most important factor, to me, is the taste. Pono's water tastes good. Secondly, we usually have it delivered to our house. They pick it up early in the morning & deliver it approximately 7 pm. It's so convenient & reliable. We've had it delivered for several months & have been very pleased with how reliable they are. On a few occasions, we've gone to their store to have our bottles refilled. The customer service is outstanding! I highly recommend them.

They have my strongest recommendation for all the products they have. We are in a water crisis in HI right now. Their system helped by 1000% especially within the household. Lets just say the taste is AMAZING! The filtertrations systems will get rid of everything. We used the Shower filter and it even got rid of petroleum/chlorine smell the entire time the crisis is happening (The H2O test with the shower did not find anything deadly so this is based off my useage conclusion). So without further ado, their filtration system will help protect those in your household and the taste in the water will keep you feeling healthier by the day. CALL, TRY AND GET IT! About 1 year ago we decided to get rid of bottles in our household. The mess that it was causing, the endless trips to Costco and purchasing water cases after water cases lead us to better water solution, Pono Revival. Not only that we have removed a ton of plastic in our lives, the convenience of having water with awesome benefits is definitely a no brainer. Clean drinking water In the comfort of our sink. I highly recommend investing in one.

We recently purchased a house and thought that our brand new refrigerator produced clean drinking water. Boy was I wrong, I met the owners of Pono Revival and they tested my water from the refrigerator. Oh my gosh, it was field with pollutants and bacteria's in the water. As you can imagine I was completely mortified and wanted to get a good water filtration system. My wife and I popped into the Pomo Revival store and had many questions in which the owners had knowledgeable answers. It's been about a year since we invested in their shower/water filter & I highly recommend their products. A family member who had eczema used it & found themselves itching less. Great local company located in Ewa Beach, Hoopili. They even gave us a detailed & thorough presentation of how their water system works. Two thumbs up!!

I have tried other water systems in the past and will say that the taste and quality of the water with Pono Revival cannot be beat. Using my TDS meter and pH strips, I have been able to confirm that the water quality Pono Revival's 5-stage water filtration system is up to par, simple, and effective in filtering harmful components and re-mineralizing to tasty healthy water. This is a 1-year review. It is a moderate install for a homeowner. You will need to drill a hole in your counter to install the small faucet or you can use an existing outlet if available. The unit itself is compact excluding the water storage jug. The components are well made and have worked thus far without any issues or leaks. It is comprised of 2 filters you change at 24 months (Ionizing + Alkalizing + Hydrogen-Rich / pH & Hydrogen Stabilization + Polishing), 2 additional filters to change every 12 months (Carbon Filters), and the reverse osmosis membrane filter every 36 months. I also tried the shower filter they sell, and it is great. Easy to install and their website has a helpful video. We have hard water in our city in California that dries out the skin. Our son has eczema and by using the shower filter has helped to significantly reduce his condition. Overall great customer service in addition to a high quality filtration system.
