Poindexter's Books Movies Good Stuff

Love this bookstore! Mililani hasn't had a bookstore since Waldenbooks/Borders Express closed in 2011. They sell used Books, DVD, Manga/Anime, records, and some cute plush. Sadly after only getting a bookstore for one yr in Mililani they announced that they are closing on Halloween 2024 and relocating to Kapolei. All books/dvds are currently 30% off and everything else is 20%. When asked they didn't have any new information to share regarding where they are relocating to in Kapolei. Go quickly to get some good deals before they are gone.

Came for the books...Stuck around for the "Good Stuff"...Poindexter's is an amazing shop in Town Center of Mililani and after enjoying a YEE with Nadine C we decide to further explore this lovely shopping center. Located right across Morning Glory my curiosity just couldn't resist giving them a peek and it's just not at all what I expected.Books galore are found here for sure and it's so well organized as it's sorted between two different rooms the first as you walk in the tables got me confused until I noticed a little corner cafe with lots of fun offerings including drinks with fun names in relation to the stories brought on with books.The table tops are gorgeous...resin that seals in the art buried beneath and holds for all to enjoy as it's definitely a conversation piece and it doesn't stop there with various excellent priced stationary and kid friendly items that even us adults couldn't help but capture our hearts and as you walk through the archway to the other room the adorable and artsy kid's reading area is just so thoughtful the environment they create is something that's so creative to bring everyone to enjoy what books has given us as I was a huge book reader as a child.Come for the books, stay for the drinks and trinkets but this crafty shop has is a special place for this lucky community and that's priceless.Thank you!

Service is impeccable. The owner and workers are so kind and patient. They will look up books for you and help you with what you're looking for. This place is such a cool place to hang out and sell food and drinks too. This is an awesome place to come and work, do school work, read (obvi), and relax. I love their book archway so creative!

Loved visiting this shop on my trip to Oahu last year! Purchased a few books and browsed their extensive collection of memorabilia.

Shopping in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii...My friend, Irene, texted me: come across to the store, PoindextersI asked the worker at Morning Glory, "Is that a spooky store... because of the name..." She didn't say anything. I walked over anyway... LOL!Located at Mililani Town Center, Poindexter's Books Movies Good Stuff is not just a used book store. It also has cute stuff like pens, notebooks, purses, plushies, decorated water bottles, keychains, etc.I almost got a Pikachu pencil case... and a Pikachu keychain... and a Kuromi pen for my sister, but I got a bunny pen because the price was so reasonable! I also got an Aquarius Hello Kitty journal that came with a pen... she was too cute!We were impressed with the tabletops that were covered in resin and displayed vinyl records! Those were cool! We also noticed a beverage corner and a nice area to sit and hang out! There's a fun children's area in another corner, too!Also... the archway made with books - that was very impressive! It's a nice Instagram opportunity!We'll be back when we're in the area again!

It's been nearly a decade since we've had a bookstore in Central Oahu. The closest thing we have is the excellent Dragon's Lair comic book store, or what few books can be found at the thrift stores in Wahiawa and Waipahu. The nearest store dedicated to books is BookOff in Pearlridge. Imagine the joy that has been sparked since this lovely used book store opened in Mililani Town Center late last year. Reading is my favorite hobby, and bookstores are as close as I can claim to having a perfect space, so I am delighted to say that this store features not only an excellent selection of books from all sorts of genres, but a snack/ cafe counter as well. I'll admit that I've spent more money on Italian cream sodas than on actual reading material, but Ive found a few fun reads as I wander the aisles with my drink in hand. My favorite visit so far was one of necessity. Thanks to the Kindle app on my phone I am never without a book, but imagine me in a one hour wait to meet with a Spectrum rep while my phone battery was under 20%! What could have been a frustrating time instead became a hunt for a paper book- one that needed no batteries. Just a few minutes of looking got me the next book in a series I've been reading, a delicious drink, and a table where I could enjoy both while I waited for the text telling me that I was next. Such a nice way to spend my time. If you are looking for a bright and welcoming place to spend some time and money, Pointdexter's is exactly what you need. The used books are all in great shape, and are very reasonable priced. Bring a friend, have a snack, and find a new favorite story.

"Stayin' Alive" - BeeGeesWith the advent of the internets and the webs and the Youtubes the value of holding a REAL book, a REAL DVD, a REAL piece of vinyl is a glorious thing. I thought all manner of bookstores have gone to the wayside, and that we were reduced to staring at white hand-held electronic books, that you may pay for but you don't really own - much like movies and DVDs; real tangible ownership is dying out, so I was beyond thrilled to see a REAL book/comics/record store! Stepping into Poindexter's is like stepping back through time. The store is like a time capsule of day's past but with modern things for sale like the Funko Pops (a wall full of them). There were kid's areas with kiddie chairs, student study areas, cool tables with encased cassette tapes and vinyl records, and old-timey comics indexed alphabetically. Paperback/hardcover books from $5.75 to $6.70 (may be cheaper, that's all I looked for)DVDs from $3.83 and upDVD sets from $9.57BeeGees Stayin' Alive record $9.57 - wowThey also sell light snacks/food, candies and toys for kids.A truly magical place worth visiting if you're at the Mililani Town Center (right across from Hickam Federal Credit Union).

Very cute book store with friendly staff. I stumbled upon this place walking around Mililani Town Center.They have free activities for the keiki. My kids ages 4-13 enjoyed making book marks and playing with legos.They sell snacks and drinks here, like Italian sodas and lemonades. All the drinks I saw were under $4.Besides books and snacks they have records, dvds and fun toys and pens. My kids are looking forward to returning. Glad we stumbled upon it.

We came to Town Center of Mililani to watch a movie & stumbled upon this cute bookstore that has some epic furniture ! The cassette tape table, vinyl record table & comic book table & chairs are just too adorable ! They also sell comfort foods & a vast assortment of refreshments ! You have got to check this establishment out. They have so much more than books & the staff is super friendly & helpful & their uniform hoodies are the sweetest ! Definitely will make the drive from Kaneohe just to come here again !
