Please Come Again

Oh hmm yeah ok I'll come again, and again, because I want more and more of the ice cream! I think this might be my favorite ice cream spots now. I generally don't like ice cream because it's either too sweet, too watery, or the experimental flavor isn't consistent with the label, boring flavors, underwhelming or overwhelming, etc. Plus it's a lot of calories that I don't need, so I usually will just pass. HOWEVER, you know where this is going because I have a 5 stars here: ice cream from this place is amazing! It's everything I want in a good ice cream - interesting flavors that actually taste good and taste like what they claim, balanced level of sweetness, thick and creamy, doesn't melt easily, good texture, and also, reasonably priced! On top of that, they use Manoa chocolates and other locally sourced ingredients. I can't say enough good things about their ice cream. The shop was clean, bright, open-air yet bug-free, cute and small but not too small that there's nowhere to sit because there's a long bench at the storefront. The tables and floor weren't sticky like a lot of dessert spots. The people were friendly and generous with samples. Sign up for the rewards program coz you'll come again. Yeah, I'll come again too.

Newest best homemade ice cream since Bubbies, yeah I said it. Storefront is quaint with a few seats inside, so be prepared to take yours to go, or be ready to eat it on the sidewalk outsidSuper premium ice cream with 16% butterfat and made in small batches. So if you find a flavor you like, grab it in a pint because you never know when you'll see it again!I've tried the Coconut Stracciatella, has a little bit of a gritty consistency to it, most likely because of the coconut and chocolate bits. The Ube Coco Crush is the non-dairy version of the Ube Crush. But Miso Salted Caramel is by far my favorite.My only commentary would be that if you have allergies, say something. A friend of mine tried my matcha strawberry (she's allergic to mango) and had a full blown allergic reaction. My only guess is because of the scooper they use to scoop the diff flavors, even though they dip it in water beforehand, may need to ask to switch out the scooper or full on wash it with soap beforehand. Overall, there isn't a flavor that I didn't like yet! And I'm excited to see what new flavors come out next!

They take ice cream to a whole new level with unique, thoughtfully crafted flavors that you won't find anywhere else. Every scoop is packed with creativity, and you can really taste the difference in their locally sourced ingredients. The texture is ultra-creamy, and the quality is top-notch. You can tell they put serious care into their craft. We will definitely come again the next time we visit Hawaii!

If you love ice cream and one the windward side you can't skip this spot! Love the logo, and vibe of the shop. The staff is friendly with service with a smile. Dessert in Kailua, O'ahu, Hawaii...I had some time for a quick treat and was lucky to find a space on the busy street, but it may not have been a legal spot. Haha!That's why I was a bit stressed when I went to Please Come Again. It's a Hot New Business that serves creative ice cream flavors! The place was packed! It was standing room only! It was a bit warm - I think because there was no air-conditioning and no windows? It's an open-air establishment at this time.There was a family in front of me trying to decide what to get. Fortunately the male employee noticed that I was next to order and I was able to jump ahead in line! I asked him which flavors were dairy-free. I almost got the Yuzu Sorbet, but chose the Coconut Stracciatella (in a keiki cup) because it was different! I enjoyed the little bits of chocolate!Welcome to Kailua! Initially, went here out of curiosity for the ice cream and as a pick up spot for Empty Elles Bagels - pickup is every Friday from 4p till 8p.Vanilla Milk was my choice...in a keiki cup, which is a good sampling size. They do offer sample scoops. You can't go wrong with vanilla and their ice cream was excellent. Second visit, requested the keiki cup of the Yuzu sorbet. Mildly tart and refreshing...another winner. Waffle cone is also available. There are three cup sizes: keiki, single, and double. Also, can be pirchased by pint.Wooden banquette provides a spot to enjoy your ice cream/sorbet. Two tables and a couple of chairs make up the rest of the seating area. Small interior but most peeps eat quickly.Across from Kailua Elementary School on Kuulei Road. On street metered parking is available.

What a wonderful addition to the Kailua community. Proprietors Kyle and Josephine, along with the support of their family, have done a great job of transforming this cute space into a welcoming spot to enjoy ice cold treats.Loved how they offer unique ice cream flavors combining favorite tastes. For my single scoop I was allowed to choose two flavors (a split single). The first was a no brainer... two of my favorite flavors in one... love everything shiso! Blended with a delicious mint choc chip. Flavors were very subtle and I would have loved an option of shiso sprinkle on the top tho, for the mainstream good to keep as is. The mint base was so refreshing! And love the collab with neighbors Manoa Chocolate.Second flavor chosen for my split was mango sticky rice which is a coconut cream based ice cream. Makes for a nice vegan, dairy free and gluten free treat. Again the flavor starts subtlely but with every bite increases until the party is going off full blast in your mouth! Genius.Love this family and their new business and wish them well as they have only been open just over a month. Love how, as Kyle put it... they have brought a treat geared towards adults with a less sweet yet ohh so refreshing ice cream. The kids will love it too! No compromise on the creamy goodness in every bite. Love how, in their short time they have already collaborated with Manoa Chocolates and Pua Blooms (a matcha/hojicha drink and plant popup truck) to bring more wonderfulness into the neighborhood. My only recommendation, and really a selfish one, is that you open earlier... especially on the weekends. Fans were anxiously awaiting the doors to open with two lines formed way before the 1pm open... Yes, I was that one that arrived 20 minutes earlier hoping to get my treat quickest. Thank you for allowing me in to view and savor with my eyes; hahah. Nice to bump into Yelp Elite Irene M before opening time where we discussed our strategy and were ready when asked if we knew what we wanted.Customer loyalty program... just enter your phone # into register and after the 10th scoop look forward to a nice bonus! Flavors of the world...Please come give them a visit in Kailua as this cute shop has wonderful creative flavors that's very unique and fun outside of the box but are so full of fun flavors without being overly sweet. All are made in house with mature flavors in mind like Strawberry Matcha and Guava Lava instantly got my attention.Walking in I love the shop vibe with bench seating for both inside or flip over like I did to gaze outside and on this day I got lucky with parking and the collaboration they have with Pua Blooms pop up along with running into Li Y who was waiting for the shop to open so I tagged along and waited lol!As a Matcha lover it's very hard to resist but as Li asked if we're able to have two flavors in the single scoop which they said we could to which cool and I decided on the Strawberry Matcha which is gluten free and made with Matcha from Kyoto was a delicate flavor but wished they had more strawberries in it as I could barely taste it and had to search for it, then the other flavor was Coconut Stracciatella and chose that because it was vegan and gluten free using 70% Manoa dark chocolate bits mixed with coconut cream.Both were just amazing very delicate flavors yet very mellow and not overly sweet and with a few dairy free options there something for everyone. Service is so nice and friendly just know that there is a 3% processing fee and they don't take cash and they do take points which I forgot to enter my info but is good to know as well.Thank you!

I was visiting for the weekend and was told this was the newest ice cream shop on the island. Looking online they had the greatest line up of flavors I made sure to try to almost all of them when I got there (the staff was very kind and encouraging). I ended up getting the strawberry guava li hing mui and miso salted caramel but I could have gotten the ube or Vietnamese coffee--they were just all so good and creamy. Their artwork (for sale!) is so beautiful and I'm jealous I couldn't take any home with me!

The ice cream was extremely good. It was milky and very smooth. We got the ube and miso caramel flavors. Both were so good. Miso caramel reminds me of a hint of butterscotch. Wished we got the flight so we could try more flavors! Service was also good and friendly. Everything was clean, new and modern.
