Plaza Pharmacy

This is going to be a very short review... I have been a client of Plaza Pharmacy for many years. Through the years, staff has changed, but one thing has always remained the same. The staff at Plaza Pharmacy are friendly, courteous and professional. My prescriptions are always on time, and I have never had any crazy wait times at all (unlike the other bigger pharmacies). I appreciate that no questions are stupid - and I always feel better when speaking to a pharmacist who can explain my medications fully and expertly. Bonus - 15 minute free express parking within the Plaza parking lot. Just make sure you give yourself ample time to get out of that parking lot (see addendum below). Another bonus - refill message/requests can be done over the phone (day or night)! Bonus #3 - I believe they offer a senior citizen discount. You'd better ask though - not sure if it is still offered because I am not a senior yet! ADDENDUM - Special note anout the 15 minute express parking - i went to my car to move it because my prescription had not been called in by my physician yet. In the process of trying to get out of the parking lot, time was ticking away on that free 15 minutes. By the time I got to the booth, it was a little over. The lady wanted to charge me $3.00!!! $3.00 for a little over 15 minutes?!?! Heck no!!! I disputed it - saying that I spent the remaining of the 15 minutes in line to get to her booth!! I asked for her supervisor or manager - and the lady just ignored me. Finally, she mumbled that I had to reverse my car and get a piece of paper from the pharmacy. The paper had to state that the pharmacy went over the 15 minutes. UHHHH... no, they didn't!!! She took so long to check everyone out of the lot!! UGH!!! I ended up reversing my car - AFTER she had to tell the cars in back of me to reverse also ! I went back to get a NOTE!!! UGH UGH UGH!!! When I left AGAIN, I made sure to avoid that lady's booth. I went in the lane that is closest to the office. This time, I got charged $3.50 - with the note!!!! WTH?!?! So, I asked for the manager/supervisor who happened to be sitting there. She told the older lady how to ring up my parking ticket with no $$$ due - and to charge the Pharmacy...WHUUUT?!?! It was NOT the pharmacy that caused me to be over 15 minutes!!! Patients/families shouldn't be penalized for waiting in line to exit!!! Omg... whatever parking company that is... GET IT TOGETHER!!! P.S. the parking incident is no reflecton on Plaza Pharmacy. Those girls i. The pharmacy work hard and are absolutely great!!

I was always a diehard Long's customer, and when I moved to town, I transferred everything to my neighborhood (Kaimuki) Long's. it would annoy me that no matter what time of day, there was always a wait, the clerks were rude, and the homeless camp next door made the drive thru scary and unsafe. I work across the street from the Kuakini medical campus, and I park in the adjacent parking structure. Every morning I'd walk past Plaza Pharmacy, and I noticed how friendly and efficient they were with their customers. One morning, after a doctor appointment, I dropped off my prescription. Wow, super nice staff. They were so fast, I was walking out in minutes!! For my refill, I dropped off my bottle, and it was done and ready by the end of the day. One day I got there just as they closed - instead of turning me away, they gave me my prescription!! I'll never leave Plaza Pharmacy - their customer service is that phenomenal!!

Best pharmacy in town. Staff are so friendly and kind. They take time to explain things. As I sit and wait for my prescription I notice that there are many elderly customers and they are patient with them. To refill a prescription that has expired they even call the doctors office for a new refill. Saves me time. They also have a parking area so that you can run in to pick up prescriptions that are waiting for you. Great service and great staff!!!!

A small pharmacy in the Kuakini medical building. The staff are so friendly and efficient. I didn't have to wait to long for my prescriptions to be filled. Also the lady who helped me was kind and provided excellent customer service. Plus they have a stamp card if you get it filled you can get a free drink in the snack shop.

Stopped her to get my prescriptions because they are in the building with Dr. Kitagawa....The people here are sooo nice. As I sat there waiting for my prescription to be filled, I observed how kind they are to their customers...whether they were having a prescription filled or simply purchasing the smallest container of Tylenol. The lady at the counter personalized assistant for every customer, consolidating purchases into one bag so it would be easy for her to carry, calling customers by name and being polite and nice to everyone.It's such a pleasure to see that. When it was my turn, they noted that my prescription had an expiration date of July 2014 and asked if I would use it all up by then....if not, they offered to order a new supply for me to pick up the next day.I really appreciate the consideration and respect they show to each customer.They also validate parking so it would be very easy to pull in here and pick up prescriptions... Another local business that I'd like to support...Thank you Plaza Pharmacy!

This is the only place I can get my diabetes meds. Longs, Walgreens, Costco , etc. never consistently have it. Only Plaza Pharmacy has it whenever I need to get my prescription filled. Even though it's far from where I live (Mililani), I fill my prescriptions here now. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Some of my meds cost me less here too because they help me find coupons and discounts on my meds. The rest don't help me with discounts or coupons.

I have been a happy customer of Plaza Pharmacy for nearly 20 years. When I complained to my supervisor I waited so long at Longs he suggested trying Plaza. They are so efficient and friendly that I ended up getting all my meds from them. I was a pharmacy tech before retiring and am happy to report they have never made an error with my prescriptions.
