Was surprised that there were so many patrons at 4 pm on a weekday afternoon. And it's a sports bar so of course the crowd was there for the live game and the many screens throughout the bar. So it's really loud. Surprising since I would not have realized this at Salt. Happy hour goes to 6:30 pm on weekdays. We ordered the truffle gyoza (meh), brisket (amazing), hand roll ahi (amazing), fried pork (amazing) and the shrimp scampi (ok- but would not order again). The food isn't bad- I liked the brisket the best and surprised that bar food could be so good.

Pitch Sports Bar is neatly tucked away on the second floor of Salt at Kaka'ako, making it a hidden gem unless you know exactly where to find it. One of the most remarkable features is how the outside belies the bustling activity within; step through the door and you're greeted by a vibrant atmosphere amplified by enthusiastic game watchers. The noise insulation is so effective that it's a surprise every time the door opens.During my visit, I dove into their happy hour menu and started with the barbecue brisket, served in a happy hour portion that still managed to satisfy with its tender, flavorful meat smothered in a rich barbecue sauce with onions and mushrooms. It's a high-quality dish that tastes like it's been slow-cooked to perfection. However, the truffle gyoza I tried didn't quite meet my expectations as the truffle was undetectable, tasting more like standard reheated gyoza. A unique touch at Pitch is their full-service sushi bar in the back, offering a lighter, sophisticated alternative to typical bar food with options like garlic ahi tuna rolls and sashimi.Pitch Sports Bar is definitely worth a visit, whether you're looking for a spot to enjoy happy hour delicacies or a lively venue to watch the game with friends. The juxtaposition of hearty bar favorites against sophisticated sushi offerings ensures there's something for every palate.

Happy hour is a must! Food is so good and ambience chill. We went before it got busy when everyone got out of work, so service was great! It wasn't too busy until probably about 5p is when everyone started coming in. We tried different things on the menu and everything was delish! Def a go to for a girls get together or even a pregame before an event.

Pitch Sports Bar seems to offer a perfect mix of laid-back vibes and quality service. They cater to a diverse crowd, offering something for everyone. I'm impressed with their $2 oyster shooters and the freshness of the sushi at such a reasonable price. For a bar to offer that kind of quality food is exceptional.Service is--friendly, attentive, and quick, which is always a game-changer when dining out. The fact that they're welcoming to families, including kids, is another big plus, as not all spots manage to balance being family-friendly while still maintaining a cool, divey atmosphere. The addition of entertainment like darts and TVs for games makes this a spot where you can easily spend a whole evening. Plus, the clean and spacious setup, accommodating both small and large groups, is perfect for different occasions. With a convenient QR code menu and full bar, it seems like they've thought of everything to make the experience enjoyable and hassle-free.This spot has earned its spot as one of my new favorite places to eat/drink in Hawaii, offering a combination of great food, good vibes, and stellar service!

I have mixed feelings about Pitch Sports Bar. I like the location and style--it's in the middle of SALT Kaka'ako, not too chic like other bars in the area, and the sushi is excellent for a bar. However, TVs are all on one side of the bar, none in one corner, so if you're facing the wrong direction, you have to turn your back on your friends.Despite the sushi being great, the kitchen gets majorly backed up on nights when there are relatively big games (nothing too major, just MNF or TNF). Also, they occasionally run out of beer and the draft options are limited. Service is so-so. I wish the server told us it was backed up before we ordered, as we had to catch a flight and ended up scarfing down the sushi.

My brother is a regular here and is constantly trying to get us to come out and meet him. We brought the whole family out to pitch on a Sunday morning for football and it was packed and high energy! The servers were super attentive and came by frequently despite it being busy. Their pitchers are super affordable, but they also offer a cocktail menu and canned/bottled beer as well. This was the first time I tried selections from their sushi bar, which were so delicious and incredibly fresh. Brisket and steak, fries, and fried rice were also on the menu and did not disappoint. The vibe is definitely local, from the neighborhood, but also the working crowd on the weekday evenings. It's not overly trendy, but clean, modern but cozy all the same. They often host international sports like soccer as well, with hours accommodating time zone changes!

Definitely have mixed feelings on this one. On one hand, it is conveniently located, the food is surprisingly good and the service in the bar was great! So where did it all go wrong? After a great night at Pitch, I got my parking ticket validated as did my friend and we left at the same time. The parking ended up being a whooping $18 after it was validated. I was so appalled I texted my friend "WTF $18 for a validated parking?!" She was confused and said hers was only $7. I've been a Yelp Elite for over 5 years and I know managers always say they wish they had the opportunity to fix things prior to bad reviews. I did exactly that---I reached out to Pitch directly, explained the situation and the response from the owner was "Sorry. We've been having issues with parking, we've told them several times. Hope this doesn't deter you from coming back." Um what? He made no effort to rectify the situation, and didn't even guarantee that it wouldn't happen again. I find this so shocking. If he had provided a sincere apology, given $11 off at my next visit, I would have returned, definitely spent more than $11 and have left a stellar review. Instead, I'm never going back. Can't chance getting ripped off for parking again. I totally understand if it is the parking's fault and not the bar. My issues is that the owner didn't even attempt to help. He could have provided the contact information for the parking, put me in touch with who to get my money back from, OR just cut his $11 loss and given me my money back. The friend who I went with was equally appalled at his response and when I initially showed her the email, she was convinced it was from some young, new 20 something who works there and doesn't know what's going on. I looked up his name and the email came directly from the owner. I am so disappointed in this place, and it really put a damper on what was otherwise a great night.
