Shopping in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii...I've seen PITACUS on Instagram. I knew they carried unique clothing and tote bags made from vintage fabrics and kimono material, but I didn't know they had gift tags, note books, stickers, gift cards, coin purses, scrunchies, and more! That's why the shop is actually named PITACUS Chop Art... because no scrap of fabric or paper is wasted! Even the gift tags are tied on with strips of material! That's so clever and resources! I didn't get the name of the cashier... she was so helpful and informative! She encouraged me to come back soon as I was cashing out...I got a set of gift tags and clips for my cousin who makes greeting cards... and a set for my sister because her birthday party is coming up. These stationary items are reasonably priced!!!I want to go to their pop-up sale from September 20 to 22, 2024! Christmas is coming soon... get a jump on it!Note: PITACUS Chop Art is located on the second level of the turquoise-colored Okumura Building.

My sons says this is the most beautiful store he has ever been in. The clothing is chic urban Asian flare that's my description anyway. I absolutely would love to wear all the items. My favorite bags and clothing come from this store. I have several accessories like the cozies and eyeglass holders. Lisa and her family are the most creative people I know and I wish the store were closer to where I live. But I also don't mind taking a trip to sift through the racks. I can feel the quality of the fabrics and appreciate the beautiful stitching and patterns. And feel that the items are worth every penny.

If you're looking for something unique, Pitacus is the place to go. This area and the building it's in have more unique offerings than what you find in Waikiki itself. Lisa has really sewn together some great items using really colorful and unique designs for both guys and gals. We really enjoyed talking to her about her shop and exploring the many different styles she has on display. My wife and I both found something we loved and the idea everything is pretty rare and handmade. When we're back on the island, I think we'll make a point to see what new things Lisa has come up with and you should too.

This simply unique shop accessible Saturday & Sunday only from 10am-2pm is understandable as everything they have here seems to take all the other times to create.First of all I was curious what is Pitacus? Apparently it's a childhood name given by their father to her sister which I can totally relate as my daddy calls me by a nickname as well which is why I use it as my user name all the time. Her sister loved all forms of art and loved Japanese fabric and travel to Japan for the same reason I do as well and get so inspired by their artistic creativity and massive dedication to the craft world.Well you can find all that creativity in this adorable shop located in Kaimuki on Koko Head Ave. Chop Art is exactly what it is in a nutshell and what they come up with is not just unique and one of a kind but a stunning artsy piece! I'm crazy about bags and headed straight to them and fell absolutely in love!! Using various pieces of fabric makes it so unique it was difficult to decide which one as not one was the same, making it super soft and easy to carry as a back up eco bag the handle is long enough to wear it crossbody to limit wear on our shoulders and even have a handy pocket on the inside LOVE!!They really do have everything for yourself or that special someone and from what I understand you can also find their items at NUIMONO which you know where I'm going next...!Thank you!!

Cute, unique, handcrafted, and quilt-ey are the top words that come to mind when I think of Pitacus. This cozy shop has everything from blouses and pants to clutches and scarves. They even have - pause for dramatic effect - reversible doggy bandanas! If you're looking to purchase a playful, one-of-a-kind something, Pitacus is your playground.

Cute little shop open 10-2pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Handcrafted cards, jewelry & gifts w/a Japanese flare. Original designed clothing with Japanese fabric by the owner. Gently used clothing & handbags! Handmade pottery & furniture too. It really is a fun place to shop if you want something one of a kind for someone special or yourself. Koko Head Ave gets busy by Goodwill but there is metered stalls & of course the municipal lot. Order take out from the many restaurants around then go check out this shop while you wait.

Beautiful one of a kind clothing items! My new favorite store! Street parking a little difficult but that didn't stop a number of people from coming in and buying their amazing clothes and other neat items. I love, love, love Pitacus!
