Grocery shopping in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii...My friend had never been to The Marketplace at City Square. I showed her that it's cleaner, safer, and better than Chinatown because The Marketplace has many vendors, great air-conditioning, good lighting, and convenient free parking! One of the vendors here is Pinoy One Outlet. Besides frozen foods, they have canned goods, and packaged items such as cookies and crackers. I asked about the price of the red and green-colored Coco de Nata (which I use in almond float). Each large bottle is $7.99... not bad!Service is quite friendly. The older gentleman asked why I was taking photos. He called the manager, a younger guy, who showed us around the market where they have another stall filled with desserts and ready-to-eat foods.I'll be back!

This store is located inside of the China Market in Kalihi (behind the DMV). They took over the spot where Ka Lei Eggs used to be (after Ka Lei moved to their new location). What they sell is ok but nothing spectacular. Just a regular business. I would get my eggs from Ka Lei which is really close. I would also buy the snacks that they sell such as Pork skins (chicharon) from Northstar Deli since it is almost two dollars cheaper at Northstar.
