Food was amazing! It took a while but considering it was just one person in the food truck, that's understandable. We went about half an hour before closing so there wasn't a lot of people, but yeah it did take a while, which the worker let us know. Both of our pastas and garlic bread were delicious however, definetly a spot you'd wanna have on your list of foods in Waikiki. We kind of got lost looking for it but there are signs pointing towards the lot they are located at.

Piccola OndaA food truck that offers handmade pasta. Interesting. If a food truck can do it, there's not much excuse for regular Italian restaurants. It was late at night and the food trucks and most restaurants around my office were closed. I checked Door Dash, and while Yelp had these guys closed, they were still filling Door Dash orders. They had a 20% off coupon (Max $5) and I had a $10 credit on the platform, so decided to order some food. I got the Carbonnara ($16.75) and the Arrabbita ($16.75). Fresh pasta and Door Dash don't really mix. I nuked both for 45 seconds and it still didn't taste quite right. However, it was still good, and I can tell if eaten right away at their Aloha Lani Resort location, it would taste amazing. Portion size is so-so. For fresh pasta in this price range, its what you should expect probably. I ate 3/4 of both dishes and could have easily polished both plates off. If you're hungry, one dish is not going to be filling. Fresh pasta and homemade sauces is definitely a treat even if its been sitting for 20 minutes. The Arrabbita sauce is really good. Spicy, and fresh. I added some additional chili flakes for more heat. The Carbonnara was good but it really needs to be eaten fresh. A 1 ounce container of parmesan is included with both dishes. They are generous with it. Would be nice to have freshly grated cheese to go with the fresh pasta. Would also be nice to have a slice of garlic bread. If I'm in Waikiki, I will definitely try their pasta fresh.

First Italian kine thing in a food truck and I must say, I'm pretty impressed!Chris is the cashier at the same time the person who'll prepare your food. He's not the friendliest staff but keen enough. Since it's a food truck ofc it's a to-go style. But there are two tables and chairs available to dine in quick. This food truck is located at Alohilani Resort alongside Ke'alohilani Ave. and Beachside Tower next to the greetings tour mural.Food:Arrabbiata (fresh pasta tossed w/ Nonna's classic Pomodoro Sauce, Tuscan Olive Oil, Chili Flake & Parmesan) - simple but tasty! It has a bit kick on it & the sauce is rich & seasoned well. Pasta was cooked just the way I like. I did enjoy my meal!Gnocchi Ragu Bolognese (handmade potato dumplings in local pork ragu showered with pecorino) - hearty & meaty! Has a sweet tang from the rich tomatoes makes it deliciously good.So far the bowl of pasta that I've tried are relatively simple but delicious. For a food truck Italian pasta dish it was good and the price is reasonable. Would recommend you to try 'em & also I can't wait to go back and try their amatriciana and Al Pesto!Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yeeps!

Place is a hidden gem! Don't let the looks and location fool you because their noodles are really fresh and the sauce is also on point. I found this spot last time I came and I'm making it a routine to stop by every time I visit Waikiki!

Third time's the charm! It took me 3 tries to finally come here and the place be open. Make sure to check both their IG and the hotel website, but even then it wasn't open when I tried to go before. I ordered their carbonara and the Caesar salad. The carbonara was so good. Perfect portion and level of creaminess so you can enjoy it but not feel grossly stuffed after. The salad was pretty average, and I probably wouldn't get it again considering the price. But I would go back for more pasta. The food is made to order so it can a little bit of time, but you can order online too so that it's ready when you get there.

I walk by here all the time and have been wanting to try the pasta, so tonight I happened to be passing by, checked it out, and couldn't resist ordering because the prices were so reasonable and Mike was super friendly. I ordered the puttanesca which it was very flavorful. I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates fresh pasta, fresh sauces, and quality ingredients.

Got a small carbonara. First of all, penne is an odd way to serve carbonara and I wasn't given any other choices. Next, the sauce was flavorful but extremely watery, minus one star. This small plate of food from a food truck costed $17 plus change, minus another star for poor value.

Good was really good! Sadly when we got to visit he was out of a few of his menus things which left options a little limited. But eveyone loved the food! It did take a little longer but it's all made fresh to order and worth it. Had a little bit of seating near by to eat.

I got the Al Forno Pasta, Caesar Salad, and Garlic bread. Overall the quality was excellent - surprisingly the caesar salad was my favorite part. The dressing is so good and seasoned. The Al Forno Pasta was okay - noodles were great but the sauce was lacking flavor and it had a hard time sticking to the noodles. The garlic bread is essentially a small loaf which is great for the price but the bread was stale and tasted very store bought. I would say it's a french roll with garlic butter drizzled on top. Overall it was filling and an enjoyable meal after a long day of sight seeing.

Ordered Carbonara and Amatriciana today and was SORELY disappointed. Both pastas tasted nothing like it did before (see before picture). Carbonara tasted like water downed cream sauce with too much black pepper and NO MEAT. The red sauce tasted the same, watered down, no meat, and lacked flavor. I paid $48 for 2 pastas, and didn't even see the breakdown when I paid. Then I asked why it was $48 when it was supposed to be $21 for each large size pasta. Then the server printed the receipt and it showed a 10% kitchen fee. FOR WHAT?To top it off, the guy forgot my garlic bread but he remembered to give some to the customers before me. Glad I didn't tip and our family won't be coming here EVER AGAIN. Find another place to eat, there's so many other restaurants around the area. What happened Piccola Onda?
