Like many places I've passed by for years but hadn't tried, I finally came in for dinner and first of all: I look forward to returning bc it's one of those places where you order and then take look around and see so many other dishes that look great and interesting so... can't wait to go back. I ordered my go to Bun Ba Hue (sp) but usually listed on menus as Spicy Beef Soup, which doesn't do the dish justice. This soup is an adventure, the broth is savory and spicy and rich, and various noodle styles can be used, this place uses my favorite style for this soup, thicker round almost like Okinawan noodles rather than thinner clear vermicelli, anyway, there are 5 or 6 different types of protein including flank steak sliced thin, tender tendon, pig knuckles, blood paste, and more. That's part of the fun, digging in and discovering the different amazing flavors and textures. You can load it up like pho with shredded banana flower, bean spouts, mint, fresh lemon and sliced jalapeños. Literally after the first time I tried this soup maybe a dozen years ago, I have not ordered or eaten pho because this hits the same spot but so much more interesting /satisfying. Pho Vietnam is clean, friendly and based on my first experience this is some of the best Vietnamese in a city filled with excellent options. I also had a nice chat with Ming, soon to be husband of the owner.

Hungry while grocery shopping? Pho Vietnam is located in the heart of Chinatown and is a great hole in the wall for some solid pho. Service: You may not get your warm and bubbly service but the staff is very efficient. Since they're usually busy, they try to take your order quickly. You may want to know what you want to order in advance, as it can take time for your order to come out if they're busy. Phos come out quite quickly, but plates may take longer. Lunchtime, ~12-1pm, is their busiest, and there may be a waiting line. Price $-$$: One of the best bang-for-your-buck pho places on the island. The quality and quantity of food you get with your order make this one of my family's favorite Vietnamese restaurants on the island. ~$14-15 for their small size phos and $19-20 for their large size. I miss the days when pho was ~$10, but comparatively, to other pho restaurants, $15 is not bad for the regular/ small size, especially with the amount of beef/toppings they give.Food: Our family really loves their pho broth. It's not overly sweet like some other pho restaurants. Orders also come with ample basil, vegetables, bean sprouts etc. We normally order the pho specials with beef brisket on the side and love the amount and variety included (tendons, tripe, etc., beef balls, etc.). Our other usual order includes their steak plate and summer rolls. These were also really delicious. Overall, it is one of the best pho places on the island and very reasonably priced.

Walked in was seated by host. Waited patiently for 20 minutes without any acknowledgement from anyone. This is the rudest thing you can do to your customers! We got up and walked out stopping to tell the owner that we are leaving due to lack of service!!!Other restaurants would gladly accept my money!Walked down to Pho Que Huong, which was busy but we received quick service. Stay away unless you want to beg for service!!!!

This place has great food and an excellent selection for vegetarian and vegan folks. Service is fast and efficient and I always appreciate the flowers and seasonal decorations they have. We were here for Lunar New Year and were blessed with Lion Dancing and the restaurant blessings. I ordered the vegetarian pho and spring rolls, they were delicious. The child ate every speck of his crispy noodles and said they were the best he ever had.

One of the most affordable pho restaurants nowadays! Miss when a bowl of pho was $10-12! It's about $14-15 for a combo pho whereas other places are $17-23! Outrageous.Decently decorated, cozy restaurant. There was a skeleton sitting in a seat for Halloween haha. They offer A LOT of food options. But their pho is good. I love broth so, I can tell when a place knows how to make good pho. They have a good, standard pho broth. BUT, if you like a little stronger broth, go later at night (after 6pm). That's when the flavor is deeper and stronger. Around noon is when it's a good and standard flavor. Just go when you prefer. I ordered a combination pho with no veggies.I don't eat tendons so I asked if I could sub for extra meatballs. They gave me 1 more PIECE, which was about 1/2 a meatball. So I had 3 pieces (1.5 meatballs in total). I love meatballs in pho so this is sad to me :( However, they do NOT skimp on the rest of the meats. There's enough to have a bit of beef with every bite of noodles. The short rib pho had two decently large short ribs. Tender enough but has a chew at times. I've come a few times, but once or twice I asked for extra lemon and they only gave me 1 piece TOTAL. Not 1 extra piece, just the 1 with the herb plate. Sad.Decent service and good food. Pho is reasonably priced but everything else is a bit on the higher end, though I do think that that is because the quality of the food and the taste is better here. New favorite pho spot for sure.

Hands down one of the BEST pho on o'ahu. I eat pho pretty religiously (twice a week honestly) and i usually go to Ha long pho because it a closer commute for me. But i've been hearing that Pho Vietnam is a great place for pho in town. Decided to try it out so this review actually includes the first time i went and the second time! The first time I went all out and ordered the pho in a hot stone bowl it was on the pricier side but still so worth it . I have never had pho in a hot stone before and it was quite the experience , the broth stayed hot-warm the entire time i was seated. The portioning was huge, so huge i couldn't even finish! the soup was so flavorful meat absolutely tender and the ratio to all ingredients was fair. Service was good too, something about seeing the owner of a restaurant helping out makes me feel like they care about their customers. The second time i went i just ordered the short rib pho and it didn't disappoint either. I highly recommend this pho spot if you're in town.

This Vietnamese restaurant is truly authentic! Not only was the service excellent, but they also serve bún đậu mắm tôm, which is hard to find. The dish was incredibly delicious, with perfectly crispy tofu and fresh herbs, and the fermented shrimp paste had just the right balance of flavor. Highly recommended!

I've been on a pho binge lately. This restaurant has a more modern decor and I love the vibe. Unfortunately, we got here 45 minutes before closing and they were out of many dishes. They didn't have vermicelli and crab noodle soup, which I was planning to get. The server told me to come earlier as they sold out.I like this place as they sell both Vietnamese and Thai food. We ordered two oxtail phos $21 each, panang chicken curry which came with sticky rice $16 and spring rolls $12. The food was excellent. The pho broth was perfectly seasoned and came with five huge pieces of oxtail. They have all these different condiments on the table that you can help yourself to. My usual mix is hoisin sauce mixed with the house spicy/garlic sauce. I'll also put a little fish sauce in the pho to kick up the flavor. I also loved the spring rolls. I like how it came with all the different sides to wrap with the rolls. They were stingy with the lettuce as it came with only one piece. I had to tear the lettuce into six pieces. I didn't try the curry, but the hubby gave it two thumbs up.If you're in the downtown area and craving Vietnamese/ Thai food give this place a try.

My wife and I went to Pho Saigon for the first time a couple Sundays ago at 7:15pm. They don't take reservations but we only had to wait about 15min to be seated. The restaurant is spacious that seats about 50 guests with a nice mix of locals and tourists.I went to Vietnam a few years ago and had the best pho ever at a buffet on a Saigon dinner cruise. The broth was so good I only ate 4 small bowls of pho and nothing else. There are a couple places here that serve great pho but Pho Vietnam's broth was so authentic like I had in Saigon. You gotta try Pho Vietnam at least once and trust me you won't be disappointed.
