The city of Kapolei on Oahu is my new Mecca for pho. Kapolei is a little bit out of the way for this townie but I'd be happy to take that 20 minute drive. Thanks to Yelp's recommendation, I discovered a second Vietnamese pho restaurant with a truly beefy tasting broth. It's a fatty, beefy mildly sweet and herbie soup that's awesome on its own. Don't need to squirt the hoisin to bring up the flavor like in those other places. Pho Kapolei is at a mini mall on Kapolei Parkway, in between Costco and Kapolei High School. It seats about 25 people and has the AC cranked up. The gentleman running the front had it going smooth. My food order came quickly. Everyone dining in was given equal attention. The take-out orders were handled efficiently. The

Using your noodles...After some shopping that's most definitely cardio it was much needed break for some lunch and taking mom it's a no brainer that she wanted some pho and not quite familiar with the area I did a Yelp search to have found Pho Kapolei located in Kapolei Village Center which a lovely spot filled with so much to choose from including Foodland but thankfully we decided on Pho Kapolei and with a decent amount of free parking available it was an easy spot to choose.Walking in the restaurant is quite cute and cozy with a few tables their menu offering is quite impressive with quite a lot of varieties to choose from and and can see where I get the indecisiveness from as mom hopped from pho to summer rolls to bánh mì but ended up with Tofu Vegetable Pho and with that decided on the BBQ Chicken & Spring Rolls Vermicelli.Honestly I ordered that because she wanted spring rolls but are able to only eat one and I didn't want to order a whole set and thought it was more practical though wished that the other vermicelli dishes came with it too but it didn't and was offered to order a la carte pieces which was a turn off.She liked her pho but thought it lacked some flavor in her opinion while I did enjoy mine as the chicken was nice and juicy while spring rolls were crispy and hot the amount of sauce given was quite the insult as it didn't come close to flavor the entire dish as a one ounce ramekin is quite stingy and ended up eating my dish dry without sauce. Yes I could've asked for more but the standard was very minimal though the restaurant was nice and clean it seemed like the single friendly staff was doing it all and seemed overwhelmed.Thank you!

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE There are cheaper options for pho in town, but if you're in Kapolei and have a hankering for Vietnamese food, this should be an option for you.Note: there is no keiki menu, so be prepped to share if you dine with a little one!=== 2. FOOD Summer Rolls ($11.95)Well-wrapped, decent crunch, seemingly done fresh, served with lukewarm peanut sauce - yum!Beef Meatballs Pho ($16.95 for medium size)Three meatballs cut in half to produce six pieces - it was good to share with my little guy and the broth was decent too - even he wanted more of it :)Steak, Brisket, Tendon Pho ($16.95 for medium size)Similar story here too - good broth, good dish!=== 3. SERVICE We dined in and the service was good from ordering to receiving our dishes, refill of waters. They spoke in English (thankfully) but also Mandarin it seems too.=== 4. ENVIRONMENT Bright and clean, we were comfortable dining in with a little one. You might be able to fit a group of 8 if needed but likely want to stick with a group of four or less in this place. Wheelchairs and baby strollers would not have an issue here. Parking is as good as your luck is in the shopping complex lot out front - which is often a little busy in the evenings!

Went in on a Saturday evening and sat right down on a booth. Service was fast The waitress took our order and brought out our waters and food. Having a grandmother who lived in Saigon and only made vietnamese cuisines this pho was spot on! Definitely the best broth I've had. The Papaya salad was so flavorful and gave the right kick. The only dish that was disappointing was the fried chicken. It was plain and salty, wasn't a favorite. Another thing was the waitress misheard one of our orders, my husband ordered the bbq plate but they gave him a bbq banh mi. We didn't make a fuss and just ate it. It was really good.

I recently visited Pho KAPOLEI I to pick up some pho because I was feeling under the weather, and it was a great experience. The food was incredibly fresh and exactly what I needed to start feeling better. The service was top-notch--quick and efficient. I placed my order thru the Yelp app and was in and out with my order in no time, which I really appreciated given how I was feeling. The staff was friendly and made sure everything was perfect. The ambience of the place was very pleasant. It was clean and well-maintained, which gave me confidence in the quality of the food. Overall, it was a smooth and satisfying experience. I highly recommend Pho KAPOLEI I for anyone looking for a quick, delicious, and comforting meal.

I've been here a few times and each time everything was good. The broth is really good and flavorful. Prices and portions are reasonable. It's small inside but there are tables. Great little place!

First time customers to this hole in the wall gem in Kapolei. We came here because we were craving Vietnamese food and this place hit the spot! You can dine in and get served quickly. Instead we opt for takeout. Food was reasonably priced with each plate being more than $10, which seems average nowadays. For these 3 plates, the total was under $50. Obviously the spring rolls went by fast. As for the other plates, they were big portions so we were able to have leftovers for another day. The chicken fried rice looked a bit dry but it actually tasted pretty good. The lemongrass chicken rice plate tasted amazing and will be a dish we will return for more. We can't wait to try more dishes!

Our new go-to Vietnamese on the west side. Food is authentic, tasty, and consistent. Take out orders are good sized portions, too. I'm happy my family discovered this place off yelp and we don't have to drive to town to enjoy Vietnamese food.

Ordered pho take out from here one day after shopping at Foodland. Pho here was good. Lots of parking in front but it can get busy with lunch rush going to other restaurants at this location. Glad there's more pho places popping up in Kapolei!

Wanted to try a different Pho place I normally go to Pho one and they are amazing but I thought let me try this other place with good reviews. I ordered take out and their pho was alright but I found a ROACH in the broth half way through eating it, worst feeling ever. The peanut sauce for their summer rolls was terrible too. Papaya salad was good but will never go back after that roach.
