We loved dining at Pho Kapahulu! My boyfriend's a great cook, but he wanted to try your oxtail soup, while I ordered the spicy beef soup. We enjoyed our meals and the place. Keep up the good work We'll be back!

Saw this place had oxtail pho and had to try it out. Park in the safeway parking lot and just walk over. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the cutest lady ever! She was super sweet and made us feel welcomed. It's a great hole in the wall spot! It felt authentic like you just came home to mom's cooking. Oxtail was tender and delicious. I added brisket to my pho and I was in pho heaven! I hope to come back and visit this place again.

The best food really does come from the small "hole in the wall" places. We thought the missed the place because of how small the place is! I think is more Southern style of pho since the broth is sweeter than what I am used to in Southern California. It was incredibly flavorful. Papaya salad was also sweeter than I have it, but still amazing and fresh. Really needed a vegetable for dinner!

This restaurant is literally a hole in the wall where the owners family members and friends are hanging out while also serving affordable food. While the ambiance is authentic and the people are kind, but the pho was mediocre, not enough meat and not enough depth. The spring rolls were also pretty average. You can find better pho somewhere else, not here.Maybe order their rice dishes or whatever else from the menu.

Looking for Pho places I came across this one and realized I had been there some months prior. I remember the food was decent. Not spectacular but typical decent Viet food. I do recall the service by the elderly proprietors was incredible. They really wanted to make sure everything was perfect and to our satisfaction, which it was. They gave us a free desert also. Parking her can be a challenge but I would check it out again.

What can I say........fabulous food, great prices, & very friendly service! I think I found another favorite Vietnamese joint to get my Pho fix!!!Yes, it's a very small mom & pop joint located just a few doors down from the Kapahulu strip mall that houses Safeway. There is no parking, but I was able to find parking within the neighborhood, then walked on over to Pho Kapahulu. As I stepped into the little restaurant, I was greeted right away. There were about five small tables within the restaurant, and each table sits about 4 people each.Looking over the menu, I already knew what I came here for......my Chicken Pho!My homie - Gary T. got the Sautéed Lemongrass Chicken with Veggies & Cold Noodles. Summer Rolls w/Shrimp were also ordered to share as appetizers. What can I say about my Chicken Pho?Pho Kapahulu by far had the best prices for pho! The Pho broth was very flavorful, & the food portions were on point. My homie - Gary T. also said his Cold Noodle dish was very tasty.I'm so happy I finally gave this little hole-in-da-wall restaurant a try as I've drove past this restaurant for many years but did not make the effort to give it a try. Thanks to my homie - Gary T. for encouraging me to check this place out!

This was another checkmark off my bookmark. I swung by a nearby Foodland after my hike with my poke on my way back to Waikiki when I noticed Kapahulu Pho was around the corner. While I was waiting for my pho, I could smell the broth from the kitchen and I knew this was going to be good. Seems like this was more of a local spot than tourist even though it's a few blocks away from Waikiki. But the taste of the lean cooked chicken pho was tasty, wish I had room for spring rolls.

So, I wanted to try this restaurant since yelp says they're open until 10, but the paper sign on the door says they close at 9pm. We sat down just before 8pm and enjoyed our food anyway but heads up for others looking for a late dinner! We parked at safeway and dined in, its a small hole in the wall type restaurant so not a ton of seating but no crowds on a weekday night. Looks pretty old from the faded sign but the inside is nice and clean. Service was also pretty good, the ladies working were nice and the food came out fairly quick, so we had plenty of time to eat.Thai tea was strong and just the right amount of sweetness. If thats how the drinks are, I'll come back just to try the coffee too.Spring rolls - I had them a long time ago and they were as tasty as I recall. They use a rice paper wrapper that's more crunchy than crispy and doesnt taste as oily as the eggroll wrappers. Delicious filling, nice and meaty. Side note--the lettuce wraps are cut so neatly too, its really convenient lolPapaya salad with tofu had a nice kick to it! Love the crunchy fried scallion on top. The springroll sauce didnt have any chili in it, so this balanced it out pretty well. I got lemongrass chicken vermicelli. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. With the sauce it was a little soupier than most places and also served warm instead of cold.Gf got the lemongrass beef rice, super tender marinated beef. She cleaned that plate. At the end we were stuffed and I had to get a takeout box for our leftovers. The prices are pretty reasonable too. We'll try the pho next time.

We ordered the Oxtail Pho, the Beef Ball Pho, and the Chicken Pho. We had also gotten the regular water, it wasn't really special, not great or anything, but still wasn't 'bad'. Our food came out fairly quickly with a side of bean sprouts, a few slices of jalapeño, 3 juicy lemon slices (There were 3 of us) The Chicken Pho tasted EXQUISITE! The service was great aswell, it wasn't very busy either. The interior looked very 'authentic', it was slightly warm inside, but overall still a 10/10!!

Love this place! It's such a great "hole in the wall" style locally family run restaurant. The aunties working are always super helpful and quick with service. The food is very affordable, delicious, and usually isn't a long wait for it. My favorites have been any of the pho, individual spring rolls, and lemongrass chicken bahn mi. I cannot recommend this place enough it's my new fav Vietnamese spot on island !
