The truck was over by the office one day. I was not particularly in the mood for pho, but I wandered over to see what else they might have. The first surprise was that there was no pho. There 8was a small menu with a pot pie, a sandwich, kebabs ($2 each, marked down from $3 each), and several bowls/plates. I had the curried chicken with cilantro cream ($8). I remember there was also a shaking beef offering, and unfortunately I can't recall what other bowls/plates there were. I believe everything was under $10.The curried chicken was good; the meat was moist, with a very mild curry flavor. I felt it was closest to a Thai curry. It came on a bed of rice and included some tossed salad and dressing. Really, the only drawback for me (a protein-lover) was that it wasn't quite enough chicken, and too much rice.I wondered about the name of the business - Pho 3.14. Was it a date, March 14? Then I saw that the signature item was the pho pot pie, and the light bulb went off. A little food + mathematical play, given that the value of pi is 3.14. Pi has to do with circles, and they offer a nice, round pho pot pie.Next time I will try the pho pot pie (I think it was $6), and probably the sandwich along with it ($4, if I recall correctly). I don't think the pie alone will be enough for me. I searched online for any media presence, and could not find one. But no doubt that will change as more time goes by.

This was my first visit to this lunch wagon. I normally don't go out to lunch wagons during my work day but my wife was saying that this wagon had good reviews on their food. Ordered the "Shaken Beef" lunch. Having had this dish at another restaurant, I was expecting soft tender slices/chunks of beef with a full body of flavor. Unfortunately that was not the case. The beef was on the tougher side and the flavor was subtle. The only thing that it had going for it was that the meat had good caramelization on it.I enjoyed the dressing on the salad. Can't say what it was, though. And of course no local lunch would be complete without rice. The black sesame seeds added a nice flavor.All-in-all, a bit of a let down. However, I'm still curious about their "Pho Pie" (pho broth, beef, carrots and onion) which has been mentioned to be their signature dish. Next time the lunch wagon is in town I pay a visit and hopefully they'll have it available.

Food Truck located on Makaloa St and Mahukona St. The back of First Hawaiian Bank at 1580 Kapiolani Blvd and across from Kapiolani Business Plaza at 1580 Makaloa St. Parking at FHB lot.As per employee, they are not there on Thursdays because they are at farmers market. Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays.I ordered the pho pot pie $6.00 and shaken beef $9.00.Pho pot pie is their signature dish that was already made. They heated it up in their truck. It has small pieces of beef and carrot with pho broth which has good flavor and crust like American pot pie.Shaken beef was recommended by employee. Employee cooked it on their grill. Some small pieces of Kualoa beef were not soft because of how pieces were cut. It has light flavor of cilantro and aioli not too overpowering. The mixed salad has a dressing that has an unusual taste that I couldn't pinpoint the flavor. Brown rice had sesame sprinkled on top.Next time, I would like to try curried chicken. Its too bad that they don't come to downtown because i will go there everyday. :)

Had "pork" banh mi panini last night. The meat was pink spamlike slices. Maybe technically was pork but think calling it that is misleading. Was ok and didn't get sick. $7.

I've been to this wagon about a dozen times now. Tried everything on the menu. Everything tasted good and flavorful! My personal favorite, thus far, is their Shaken Beef. I've never tried it before until the wagon came along and to me, it's pretty tasty! My kids LOVE the pho pot pie . Both gentlemen that work the truck are co-owners and founders of the business, whom are both very professional and pleasant! To see the young generation work as hard as these both do, makes me realize and appreciate their efforts in feeding all the grouchy hungry downtown workers. Way to go guys! Keep up the good work!Another amazing thing about this food truck is that they are environmentally considerate. Take out containers are environmentally safe! Not very many food trucks are conscientious about those little details that make a WHOLE LOT of difference in the world . Overall, I'd give a 5 star rating!
