Hella good,Got here at 9:30 ordered 6 then ordered 3 more. We are a family of 5, but nothing was left. Hot light fluffy malasada with multiple fillings. Having had them on other islands I never liked them. Maybe these are made for a more mainland pallet, I don't know, but these were not overly heavy making you feel weighed down and the fillings we tried were great.Everything came out warm, and soft. Sad we waited till our last day to try.

The malasadas were soft and fluffy with a thin, crisp exterior--just the right balance of texture. The cream fillings were light, complementing the slightly sweet, yeasty dough without being overpowering. These are best eaten fresh, especially while still warm. They're so good, I could easily eat them all in one day!The Nutella flavor was my favorite--lightly flavored Nutella cream, and the perfect pairing for the airy dough.

I was excited to try Penny's Malasadas at the Royal Hawaiian Center, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. At nearly $3 per malasada, I expected something special, but what I got was essentially a piece of plain deep fried bread with sugar sprinkled on top. There was nothing remarkable about the texture or flavor that makes a malasada so enjoyable. There are other spots on Oahu serving malasadas that are miles ahead in taste and quality (Leonard's & Pipeline's). Save your money and try one of those instead.

Penny's Waikiki Malasadas is located at the Hawaiian Center food court and specializes in Malasadas (Portuguese donuts). They are made to order and are available with a filling. All of the malasadas are coated in a sugar.Filled malasadas ($11 for 3) - Coconut, ube, nutella and custard were the fillings available. The malasadas were so fresh, warm and melted in my mouth. The consistency wasn't quite the same as Leonard's, but it was still very good. I was disappointed with the fillings as they were extremely watery.Overall the malasadas here are great, but are pricier and not as good as Leonard's. Also there is no line here, so don't expect a wait like one would at Leonard's. I'd stick to getting the plain malasadas here over the filled ones.

Up until now, when I had the craving for malasadas, I would order from Pipeline.I'd heard of, but never tried malasadas from Penny's, so today was the day to try something different.I ordered via Grubhub since I'm a Plus member. The filled malasadas sounded tasty, but I also wanted to get some traditional ones for comparison, since that's what I usually got from Pipeline.I decided on six filled and six traditional malasadas. As I was using the app, everything proceeded smoothly for the filled malasadas. I was able to order two each of Original Custard, Ube Creme and Special Flavor of the Day.Next, when I attempted to order six traditional malasadas, there seemed to be a glitch in the selection process. I expected to be able to choose from among Cinnamon Sugar, Hawaiian White Cane Sugar, and Specialty Sugar. Instead, I was again prompted to choose fillings.I didn't see any way around this, so I just repeated my choices from before. I wanted at least a dozen malasadas to share with the rest of the office.Sure enough, I received two boxes containing six filled malasadas each. Now I won't know whether I would prefer Penny's or Pipeline's regular malasadas.Anyway, we enjoyed the malasadas that we did receive. I was pleased with the quality and taste. I didn't deduct points for an apparent misconfiguration of the app.https://bsky.app/profile/raymondkaya.bsky.social/post/3lfyr246cd22o

Da best malasadas around! We've tried Leonard's and Pipeline, but we like Penny's the best. Penny's malasadas are light, fluffy, not oily, and they are huge (bigger than the size of your palm, huge). Our go-to are the sugar coated malasadas. We usually get the 3 pack, each with a different sugar coating (plain sugar, cinnamon and their daily special sugar). Service is very friendly and fast. If you're a tourist, just come here for malasadas. They are delicious, and it's super convenient being in the heart of Waikiki. Only 1 recommendation for Penny. Post visible menu in Japanese. We saw a large group of Japanese tourists tonight struggling to figure out the English menu. They finally figured it out. :)

Great malasadas. The staff were friendly, and explained the cremé and jam of the day. We ordered the filled Penny's malasadas, and ordered 3 different flavors as the order counts range at a minimum of 3 per their menu. We ordered the original custard, coconut cremé, and coffee cremé, with white sugar dust on the outside. The malasadas were warm, but the filling was cold and very runny. Regardless, they were all delicious in their own way, and I thought the original custard cremé was the best. They have other flavors also per the image provided with this review. They are located in the food court on the 2nd floor. Ambiance was your typical food court, with a good amount of seating.

I didn't want to wait in the long line at Leonard's but heard about Penny's Malasadas. It's located in the Royal Hawaiian Mall food court upstairs. The malasadas are freshly made so it takes time to get your order. I ordered ube, coconut and nutella. All three were piping hot and yummy, according to SO. I can't eat too much because it's too sweet but I really enjoyed the ube.Be prepared to get messy because the filling will ooze out when you bite into it :)

Penny's Waikīkī Malasadas does not disappoint! This charming spot offers a delightful selection of the islands' famous malasada donuts, and they are absolutely worth a visit. The donuts are incredibly fluffy and come with a variety of delicious fillings. I had the chance to try their special filling called "holiday berry" during my visit, and I must say, it was fantastic! I'm not sure what type of berry it was, but the slight tanginess of the filling perfectly complemented the sweet, sugar-covered exterior. Just a friendly tip: when you take your first bite, be careful not to let the filling spill out onto your nice sandals!Without a doubt, these are some of the best malasada donuts on the island. If you're in Waikīkī, make sure to stop by Penny's for a sweet treat that will leave you craving more!

We were in the mood for dessert and decided to get malasadas. We got the ube, coconut, Nutella, custard, and special - pins colada. We waited about 10 minutes for them. First bite, noticed it was fluffy and airy and not greasy, which is great. My favorite flavor was coconut. The Nutella actually tasted like chocolate. If you can't make it to Leonard's, this can be an alternative.
