So far, my kids love their instructor, Mr. Brian. He has great interactions with the kids & is good at correcting them in a way where they will understand without coming off like he is scolding them. He is overall a coach that I would recommend. They do basic drills to learn correct form & to learn how to control their bodies. Most of all, they have fun!

I love this gym , we've been going there for couple of years because of our favorite instructor Bryan . But they got so strict on the make up classes when my kids get sick . Oh I wish it's the same like before but it needs more instructor this place though my son ninja class get so crowded and he is stuck with new kids in the beginners .. I want him to level up or something .

We have been attending here for 2.5 years. If I could do over I would have started at a different company. There are a handful of amazing instructors. Dana, Mike and Brian are outstanding, I could rave about them all day. They have great interaction with the kids, they are great at watching to correct technique, they can not only catch the mistakes the students are making but are able to articulate themselves in such a way that the students can fix their mistakes and improve. However, classes and instructors for the ninja and beginner classes were constantly being reshuffled. We would reorganize our schedule to get a certain instructor only to have that class dropped due to low enrollment or the instructors were changed around. A few instructors we had just seemed lazy or apathetic. They would take their sweet time setting up the ninja course while the kids just SAT waiting. Or minimal feedback would be given to help. Over the years we had multiple issues with billings, including being overcharged by $600 at one point. Their website is not updated frequently. The last monthly calendar is from May. You pay for four classes a month but sometimes they roll the previous month in to the next month to make 4 classes in the next month. So, sometimes you needed to attend on the fifth class of the month, but sometimes you didn't. Without an online calendar to check this, it can get confusing. They require a $60 annual membership to pay for "insurance, t-shirt, fitness testing, portrait, registration, etc". Insurance I get, but my kids have never had a portrait taken, nor elected to pick out a t-shirt (they considered the t-shirts to be unattractive, uncomfortable billboards for the company). Please update your t-shirts - new design, dri-fit material,...Their "fitness testing" seemed to be measuring flexibility once in a while. If I could do over, I would have signed up at Rainbow Gymnastics Academy in Waimalu instead. but, if the PH location is convenient because you live on base and you are just looking for a way to have your child be active for an hour, this gym is fine. Try a few different time slots, pay attention to the different instructors to find one that would be best for your child. But, if you want anything more than that, I would do trials at a few locations and then pick whichever one seems to be the best fit.

My daughters began taking classes there and after a little while I noticed they were hiring, so I applied. What's better than working somewhere your kids are?! Once I began working there is because apparently that they 8 times out of 10 have no idea what's going on. Kids run free without instructors keeping watch. They hire trainers with ZERO experience which increases injuries. Some instructors are overly abrasive towards children, as young as 3 or 4. The prices are great and you must have a military ID to get on base, of course but I highly recommend finding a gymnastics gym that has the passion and experience that that guys don't. They just get their shift over and that's it.

My son and daughter have been attending gymnastics classes for the past one year. The amazing athletic development and body awareness my children have gained can directly be attributed to these classes. I highly recommend training at the Hawaii Academy. It's a gift your children will benefit from throughout their active life.
