Pearl City Medical Associates

Being coming to this medical facility for over 13 years with the same internal medicine. Dr Mark Nishihara. Very friendly knows he's field in medicine. Graduated I think from John A Burns of medicine. He's my PCP. He does share the office with other doctors as well. Located in Pali Momi Hospital Physicians Exchange side of the hospital. Parking is located downstairs of the hospital. But I always get dropped off so I don't pay for parking. Don't know how much the parking is. They're close on Saturdays and Sundays. Just Mondays to Fridays.

Located in the pali momi medical center, 5th foor, next to pearlridge, I've taken my kids here all the way since I gave birth to now. The pediatricians that take care of my kids are very knowledgable and caring.At first they saw Dr. Paul Chan. He was excellent talking to children and parents, and suggested certain shots for them to take and gave sound advice. Unfortunately, he retired and now my son goes to Dr. Ryan Chung. He is also very nice and will explain thoroughly if we have any questions.Although appointments are always scheduled far in advance, they will fit us in when they can if my kids are sick, and I am reminded by email or text for appts scheduled far in advance. The front desk is always on it and if I have a question, the assistant or doctor will call within a day, usually after or close to closing.If their primary dr is off, there are 2 others that cover so I don't have to wait or find another doctor.They have a 2 story play area for little kids, and a hand sanitizer in the waiting room as well.Paid parking is in the building, but I always shop at pearlridge so I park at the pearlridge parking lot instead.

I recently switched to this group of physicians because my primary doctor is joining a company with a large copayment and an even larger sign-up fee. He was in a solo practice, so when he was on vacation, no one really took his place in the office. He's good, but replaceable... Pearl City Medical Associates has staff who have access to all charts and can process paperwork for all physicians. I think that this group practice will be better in the long run for me. Their system is efficient and they know what they are doing. The receptionist knew exactly how much my co-pay was and collected payment via credit card, so I saved a stamp! I was really impressed with my first appointment with my new doctor. She saw me before I finished completing my paperwork! Her nurse took my vital signs quickly and asked all of the relevant questions! She sent my lab requisition and prescription refills electronically to the places that I usually go to! Whoa!This office is located in the Pali Momi Medical Center. The parking has a flat rate fee of $2. It's right next to Pearlridge Shopping Center if you need retail therapy!

I have been seeing Dr. Bryan Matsumoto for over 40 years. He has always been very helpful in my health care and is very diligent in following up when ever i needed his expertise. He has a caring staff that are cheerful and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.

Worse place ever for a medical facility. Waited over an hour and I had an appointment. Kept telling the receptionist, but nothing happened. Better to go another medical center where they will really care about you.

I have been with Pearl City Medical since birth, yes, birth! An entire generation has already grown up and more recently I have noticed that most of the Physicians in Pearl City Medical's Pediatric division have retired. Though I am confident that the new Physicians are of the same high quality as the Physicians I had as a child.Having to leave my pediatrician was devastating. Although as a youngling I dreaded the doctor's office, by middle school I trusted and confided in Dr. Paul Chan. Then, after graduating high school, I got a friendly reminder that I am now an "adult" when I was informed that it was time to find an adult internal medicine doctor. Of course I had to stay with Pearl City Medical! I got on their waiting list and within a few months I transferred to an internal medicine doctor still within Pearl City Medical! My doctor is professional and understanding. So much so that I chose the HMSA health coverage plan from my employer just so I can keep Pearl City Medical as my primary doctor. They know all my history from birth until now and I plan on sticking with them for as long as I live. FYI, they also use MyHealthAdvantage which is a great online tool to track your doctor visits, test results and medication allowing flexibility in accessing your information anytime, anywhere.

I love Dr. Iida but I can't stand how they schedule appointments. I call yesterday and was told a nurse will call. No call. But I get an appointment reminder on the My Chart app saying I was scheduled for a time that had already passed and I was never notified about the appointment. I call again this morning and the receptionist says sorry nobody called.

Dr. Shimokawa has helped my family and I set goals toward a healthier lifestyle. Our family has been on track because of Dr. Shimokawa's suggestions. She has also encouraged us to come as a family every 2-3 months to help my son with weight management. When my children are sick, there's a 90% chance that we can see her within a few hours. My kids are comfortable talking to her and answering her questions. Thank you Dr. Shimokawa for your genuine heart!

Been calling this place for over a month and no one ever answers the phone. We're trying to change providers and was told to call here. There is also no way to leave a message and have someone call back. We're back to looking for a different provider.
