I've always enjoyed shopping at Foodland Farms, and having a bar in the store is even more enjoyable! We stopped in on a Sunday to watch some football and enjoy their delicious menu items. We ordered the Calamari Karaage and Gochujang chicken. The two dishes were tasty, and the chicken was very flavorful! I had no doubts as the food from Foodland is always very delicious. Did I forget to mention that they have a full bar? Didn't get to try any cocktails during this visit but I'll be back to try more menu items and drinks. Helpful servers, good food and vibes.. I'm a fan !

Pau Hana Bar is a hidden gem featured in Foodland Farms & is a great place for a casual relaxing meal or pupus with drinks. While the selection may not be as extensive as other drinking/pau Hana venues, it more than makes up for it with amazing fine dining quality foods & flavors that will please even the most sophisticated palates. The Grilled Misoyaki Chicken was tender & moist & lightly seasoned so the miso didn't overwhelm the ginger & sesame accents, & coupled with hints of vinegar from the pickled onion, it was an epicurean delight! The Furikake Salmon Salad was a refreshing surprise with fresh Ho Farms salad topped with a perfectly seared furikake crusted salmon fillet & ginger sesame dressing. Very delightful pairing especially with the Pau Hana Mai Tai to enhance the meal. It's a fun casual ambiance with lots of bar & counter seating that wraps around a complete bar. The servers/bar tenders were very friendly & professional. Definitely a 2 thumbs up for me!

Second time dining in and service is always so spot on. Offered a sample on the beer before proceeding with it, bartenders are very easy to converse with and they are knowledgeable on the drinks and food.Surprisingly happy with my Yuzu & ume whiskey sour drink, usually go for the sweet drinks but... 2024 says let's go easy on my heart and not get tachycardia. It's sour but not to the point where you find yourself making a sour face. First time ordering with them tried out their salt and vinegar chicken skin, portion wise... huge and delicious. Had enough to take home. Crispy chili pepper chicken was good too but I think we were just too "chicken" out... should've had a variety. Topped it off with fried rice kimchee. Second visit with the more diverse palette was for the win, mushroom wasn't too drenched with butter and the saimin had lots of veggies and meat, not just straight up pasta. Chinese style ahi belly was also nice, crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. Lots of sauce too if you want it a little bit more moist. Option to have a scoop of rice and things like pickled onion and kimchi can also be ordered but it's not mentioned on the menu, give it a go! Not to mention the sweet tooth, we made it to dessert (which we never do) banana & butter mochi lumpia was warm and balanced with a side of vanilla bean ice cream and side of lilikoi

Wow this place is good and in the middle of Foodland farms in Pearl City! Kinda investing eating and drinking in middle of a grocery store. Food here is amazing! Gotta try their sizzling rib eye steak, garlic mushrooms, pastels tater tots, and banana lumpia ice cream dessert! Everything was so ono! I'll be back!

I swear I wrote a review for this FOODLAND Farms market bar previously but since there's no review with my name I need to rectify this oversight. Located in Pearl City it's across the main street from Walmart smack dab in the middle of the market and behind the poke bar. You'd think being directly behind the poke bar you'd be able to pick some up and enjoy it at the bar while enjoying an ice cold brew, many of which are offered but you are limited to the menu items in the bar area. Probably the only thing I don't like about this bar. I feel deprived when I think there are boiled peanuts ten feet away but I can't have them. There's blue crab poke ten feet away but I can't enjoy it while I'm having an ice cold beer at the bar....you get where I'm going with this? There are lots of food items coming out of the bar, many are pretty good, two of my favs are the garlic fries and the fried chicken skins. There is one Fresh Poke of the day on the menu which could be expanded to a variety of selections and even marked up to customers sitting in store-bar enjoying it....oh well, hopefully management will reconsider but since they've been handling it the same way since prior to Covid shut down maybe they don't think it matters.Anyway, there is a pretty diverse selection of alcohol here. The mixed cocktails are made from a recipe that any nondrinker could follow I.e., the Old Fashion. It's just not the beloved cocktail many of us drink. Their version features Hennessy which I assume can be upgraded but I wouldn't recommend it as there's no love or knowledge put into the crafting of this cocktail. I asked the bartender if she'd ever watched this drink being made in a high end steakhouse and her response was that she wasn't much of a drinker of hard alcohol and that she just follows the house recipe. It shows in the finished product. However they do make a Yuzu Ume Whiskey Sour that was quite good, kinda sorta a Whiskey Sour just a unique version. It was fun ending our drinking "session" with a Limoncello shot over ice. I recommend this neighborhood bar for all the right reasons: plenty of parking, nice people, clean and well maintained. They can get busy at times but are well staffed to keep the flow of drinks and food moving...kinda weird though for your bartender to ask you if you want dessert after four hours of imbibing and just before last call!

My mom's been talking about the Aloha Fridays here and the specials so I decided to go with her. She wasn't kidding! For a little bar tucked inside Foodland this place is amazing! It wasn't too crowded for a Friday night around 6, but there were a lot of people. I was shocked at the specials and the amount of food on the menus! We got the $5 local draft which happened to be Kona's wailua wheat. I love Kona and this beer is so refreshing. For $5 you can't beat it. We also got the clams on special. They were fresh and the ginger broth was perfect. Safe to say me and my mom were both in love with the flavor. Everyone else around us enjoyed it too based on all the empty clam shells. The crispy chicken was amazing too! We split it and that was more than enough for us both. It was packed full of flavor, extra crunchy, more sweet than spicy, but I enjoyed the umami flavor and savory flavors in the dish. Our bartender was so sweet. She was attentive and very helpful in recommendations. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other mixed drinks and food options!

Who would've thought to come to a bar in the middle of a grocery store? If you're in need of good drinks, friendly staff and good bar food, this is the place for you. This really is a bar type atmosphere as there are not regular type tables. There is a rectangular bar and the staff stands inside the bar to serve you. Food is cooked in the back somewhere.I ordered the mule (not on the menu) and it was delish. We also ordered the elote brussels sprouts (good but something was missing), fried noodles (really good), kalbi chicken (this was a miss) and the calamari karaage (good).I would go back again. They no longer take reservations, it's walk in only. Make sure to wear warm clothes, bring a jacket or blanket or something.... it's freezing cold in there!Ample free parking in the Foodland Farms parking lot.

Had a great time watching the NBA playoffs while sipping a few beers. HH beer of the day was $5 and was ONO! Beer Lab sour and Mary suggested a Li Hing Mui rimmed glass, that sounded interesting and also like possibly the perfect combo for a sour beer and it was!! I ended up getting 2 and then later wanted to try the other beer lab offering which was called Omakase and was a hazy ipa. It was excellent as well.No outside food. HH everyday, but you may want to call to confirm hours in case they change. There are also game day specials on drinks and food. There were a lot of people there to watch Warriors/Lakers, so that made it more fun, but solid spot to grab a high quality craft or local beer during HH either way. This bar is located in the middle of the FoodLand, in case you get confused.Grab some poke to go on the way home!

Before grocery shopping, a nice meal at the Pau Hana Bar is a great way to keep "hunger purchases" under control. The specials are always worth trying. The bar is well-stocked and signature cocktails are also thirst quenching. The bartender and server's banter are never dull which makes for lively conversations along with the sports commentary that are heard overhead. Happy hour specials are plenty.
