My Husband and I stumbled upon this place about (3) months ago while shopping at Costco Hawaii Kai. We've visited the Nuuanu and Pearl city locations too. Food is always on point. I always get the (2) choice poke bowl with sushi rice (spicy ahi and Hawaiian Alaea). The Hawaiian Alaea is my Favorite. My husband usually gets the short rib plate or the poke nachos. The Fish is always fresh and flavors are always consistent, even when eating at the other locations. I also love the tuna mac salad. We always get a side of that when we visit. The customer service is always great too. Most places tend to lack in this area. It's always nice to be greeted and thanked for visiting. We came a few times when they were busy and it was nice to be addressed and told they would be with us in a moment. Most food places you walk-in to these days tend to just ignore you, continue what they do without even making eye contact or no apology or anything. I really like this place and the ambiance. Price is what you'd expect it to be. It's fresh and these days wherever you go you spend pretty much the same amount. Thanks for the great food and customer service

Food 4/5 stars: poke is a little above average taste. Somewhat decently priced. They also have plenty of musubi and some cooked fish options. Location 4/5 stars:Conveniently located near Costco. Parking can be limited because this. Plenty of tables inside and outside. Restaurant is clean. Service 2/5 stars:Cashier was really rude and not helpful. No Aloha spirit. No more viral mango or peach ice cream. They said they do not plan to re order. I found some at H mart kalihi.

I was looking forward to trying Paradise Poke for the first time. Despite the parking situation being in Hawaii Kai Costco parking lot, there was ample parking available on a weekend evening. In regard to the poke, I was a bit disappointed :( I'm not picky but the experience was a little sad. At just after 6pm there was barely any selection left. When we got there I saw maybe 3 ahi flavors and 2 salmon flavors in little deli cups (not full pans). I understand they use fresh fish, but considering they close at 8pm with nearly 2 hours left of being open, I thought they would have more fish available. Additionally, the signs for the poke were mixed up. I ordered the truffle ponzu salmon because I thought it looked the most fresh, but since the sign was mixed up in the fridge, the one I thought I was ordering was actually spicy salmon. I realized when I got home that I got the wrong order. After trying a few bites the salmon didn't taste fresh. I rarely waste food, but did not end up finishing my bowl. My own experience at Paradise Poke wasn't the best, but I did try some bites of a different bowl (ahi limu and shoyu ahi). The ahi poke was much better than the salmon, so I would say if you do visit, be sure to get an ahi bowl.

11/14/24 visit. After reading about the viral Peach and Mango ice cream on Paradise Poke Instagram page, my walking buddy and I took a chance to see if this place still had some after its original availability date of 11/12. We were in luck! But only for the peach flavor. The mango one was sold out. This small, but organized place sells musubis, poke, drinks, Asian flavor chips, crispy beef jerky, bentos and more. I picked up a few musubis and the peach ice cream. Service was fast and friendly here. Unfortunately, they have a heater type glass oven like container for charsiu and pork near the cash register. In front of it are small sized dishes containing shoyu packets and other items to take if you need it. I picked up a shoyu packet and my finger touched the heated container and I got a burn. Ouch!!! I wish I took a picture of it!So be careful not to go near that. There should be a sign warning everyone that it's really hot. It may be a fire hazard with so many items nearby it. Please remove items like the shoyu packets as you need to go up close to it to take a shoyu packet. Thanks in advance. The peach ice cream is very sweet. When you open it up, you have a peach aroma which is nice. The shell is white chocolate I believe. The ice cream is on the soft side and also very sweet. The spicy ahi Musubi is just that, spicy! Lol. Not sure I tasted the ahi. But it was spicy! The Musubi rice was on the soft side and the nori wrap tore a bit when unwrapped. Food: 3/5 starsService: 3/5 starsAmbiance: 3/5 starsIt's located in the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center. Nearby the Costco. Lots of free parking in the area.

I saw that paradise poke. Hawaii had the viral social media mango and peach ice creams in their store so I decided to drive all the way to Hawaii Kai to check it out. Thankfully, they had boxes upon boxes in their freezer available for sale. I decided to try one of their Poké bowls, since we got there around lunchtime. They have many options from the traditional shoyu ahi to complex furikake truffle wasabi. I decided to go with the one choice option because the furikake truffle wasabi option had fish eggs in it, which I am not a fan of. I got shoyu ahi on sushi rice, which is a dollar more, and went with the Yuzu cucumber topping. I was happily surprised when I found out that the ahi didn't have that white tendon in it that usually ahi does. I only found one piece out of the whole bowl that had it and was able to avoid it. I also noticed that the poke didn't have that metallic taste after eating it which is pretty amazing since I am not a fan of very fishy things. This was a rare find and for the price I think it was a great place if you're headed out to the Eastside. Make sure to check them out. They have other options like musubi's and Bentos if you're not a fan of fish. Get there early so you don't miss out on the plentiful choices they have.Parking is horrible out front of the shop because the stalls are very tight. Try for further out on the lot or even the Costco side of the lot. There were three small tables inside the shop that you can sit at and two small tables outside. But if you go around back to the marina, there are some tables with really beautiful views.

(Tookout 11/01/24 FR @ 5:00pm): Time to poke around this Hawaiian paradise for some fresh seafood! In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout O'ahu's Windward side (east shore of the island) after a recent acquisition of an investment/private-use property, I finally made my way to Paradise Poke Hawaii"s Hawaii Kai location. I loved poke, and it was my no-meat Friday, so the timing was perfect. I fondly remembered the times when poke was inexpensive primarily because it wasn't the choice cuts as it was nowadays. It was peasant food that sustained you and made use of every part of the fish so nothing was wasted. Was I able to find paradise in this Hawaiian poke shop!?PURCHASE2 Choice Poke Bowl - Ahi FTW (furikake, truffle, wasabi), Spicy Salmon, Yuzu Cucumbers + Substitute Sushi Rice ($18.00 + $1.00): I arrived less than an hour before they were closing, so the options were limited basically to want I selected here. Having said that, This was a decent-sized bowl with equally portioned shares of my choices. The ahi FTW had a lot going on and I loved it! The various flavors paired well while the spicy salmon was more straightforward. All seafood pieces were fresh, sizable, and tender. I wished I had more of the tasty yuzu cucumber, and the sushi rice was fine but definitely an impulse buy for an extra dollar. My only issue was the price-to-portion ratio. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=VV2gNTbJl-oGMRX3NPhhnwYuzu Mayo Japan Scallops 0.52lb ($12.47): These pieces of seafood were so flavorful, easy to chew, and plentiful. I wished I had some extra rice to pair with this meal, but inevitably, it wasn't necessary; it was wonderful as-is. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=jG1FZbdVLDT9ESlbri-UIQLay's Scallops Flavor Potato Chips 1.2oz Bag ($4.49): If you knew me, I seeked out random-flavored potato chips wherever I went, and purchased any I haven't tried. Excited to try once I got home, I really couldn't find any scallop taste; instead, I got some kind of sweetness. Oh well, they all can't taste like they're supposed to. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=sSn7hXbdPq5zeN4lGx64CwNoms Banana Lumpia Chocolate Bark 5oz Bag ($8.99): My nieces first introduced me to Noms last year, and I like them. So, when I saw this and its awesome packaging, I had to try it. Hard chocolatey squares with banana flavor, chocolate chips, and tiny flecks of lumpia wrapping. It was interesting, and thankfully I liked this treat! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=34DGnvb82mx4IJFh5qMvWQCredit Card Fee 3.00% ($1.35): I understood why this had to be done - c'est la vie.CRV Bottle/Can Fee ($0.05): Why did I get charged this!?SERVICEGreeted by two friendly young staffers behind the counter with less than an hour before they closed, they happily worked as my order was easily taken, my food prepared, and then about five minutes later all was ready; easy-peasy - mahalo!PARKING (FREE)Located in the outdoor Hawaii Kai Towne Center, there were plenty of spots, and I was able to park relatively close to the business - 'nuff said!ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCEA simple boxy layout fronted by a lot of products and food racks https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=0&select=gqKFDjQGfQdJTaoqLjdrDQ with a couple of chairs/tables to enjoy your meal, and a main front order counter and display case https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=0&select=2IDRc4qzUAGLRMtINV1sSg with a legible menu/price board hung on the wall behind the counter. Decent natural lighting came in through the heavily covered front doors and windows while bright electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=0&select=tVkqkMepISeQlrRZRSHqNgATTIRETotally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops.OVERALLI enjoyed Paradise Poke Hawaii and glad there was a nearby poke place. The freshness of the food was wonderful, but I wished the portion size of the bowl was larger. Furthermore, the prices were a bit elevated across the board. The service was easy and straightforward which I appreciated. I felt this place was geared mainly for takeout. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $49.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

We did a costco run and wanted to get some dinner. My daughter tried paradise poke and really liked it so we went to get poke bowls and my son saw the viral mango ice cream so we had to try it. It was around 8:00pm so they ran out of most of what was on the menu. Poke was fresh and pretty good. Just a little different. I'll be back to give it another try.

When did this location open? I must have been under a rock. One of my favorite spicy ahi around. The poke bowl comes with one side of your choice. My Kauai genes were also OVERJOYED to find the elusive Goteborg Musubi for sale!!!!! Theirs is extra fancy with slices of sausage as the topper as well as the base and a proper furikake rice. Delicious!

Was able to try this place again. Ordered plate lunch. Baked Salmon w/ garlic noodles (substituted for 4.24 extra). Orders short ribs (added 4pc shrimp for 6.37). Ordered all greens- it came out with rice. They corrected it quickly. The Mac salad has tuna in it- good tasting.
