Paradise Jerky

Everyone seems super friendly at this location. The only thing that kinda sucks is they didn't have any samples. Uh-oh...it's only 8pm and they were already out of the cracked pepper...we got the last 2 at least but wanted 4 . Thought the Salt & Vinegar sounded odd for a meat, but I LOVE S&V...so wanted to try before I bought a big bag. I would assume I wouldn't be disappointed, but wasn't willing to risk it. Hopefully next time we come back they have samples or we might try the main retail location! Then I can update the rating...HOPING to elevate to 5 !!!

Really great spot in Waikiki with amazing service! We had gone for dinner at upstairs Aloha Table and came across the tent staffed by a really nice gentleman who offered us samples for various flavors of beef jerky - of which included salt and vinegar (!!!) and lava. What made this jerky different from the rest was the crispiness - almost like a potato chip! That was great, and I really appreciated the time spent to explain the product, and hey it got my attention. I was also pretty interested by the Hawaiian coffee, as I am quite the snob myself. The employee helpedme with a doubleshot of espresso, which was a great end to my night! There's a little seating area right by the tent, and it's located by the alleyway. Even though it's quite a touristy area, personal and friendly touches like these are needed in more places!

Happened upon Paradise Jerky while I was walking around Waikiki after having dinner with some friends. Found this gem of a place tucked just behind the Waikiki Shopping Plaza/Stix Asia Food Alley in a enclave of businesses. So happy we did! It's a small door next to the larger eatery that boasts the best locomoco. Once you enter you are greeted by one of the friendliest owners/employees of Paradise Jerky! Since we were not familiar with the place nor the product of "crispy beef jerky" Hide offered us samples while telling us about the products. First taste we were instantly hooked! So delicious. Tasty snack which is low carb, low sugar, bursting with flavor. My very favorite kind of chip! We each bought bags of our favorite different flavors.Now exposed to the goodness of crispy beef jerky, I have been on the hunt for the BEST crispy jerky. Have internet searched, have visited multiple product shows, I have tasted about a dozen different brands. Each time comparing them to Paradise Jerky. Each time falling just a little short in comparison. With each bite of a different brand, having my search return to Paradise Jerky.Happy that there are two locations for easy pickup. Second location on Young Street which slso sells larger bags of this tasty and healthy treat...where I have been to multiple times. Easier to access for local residents. Parking is free in the designated lot. Can you tell I am a fan? A huge fan of this original crispy beef jerky maker!Protip: be sure to checkin and ask for Yelp discount.

The salt and vinegar!!! I regret only buying one bag. My husband and I finished it in like 2.5 seconds. Went back a couple of days later for more and was bummed to see they were sold out!!! My husband, who does not typically like jerky, LOVED this one. We don't live in Hawaii so now I have to check back on their site in hopes they will restock this flavor (fingers crossed).

What do you do after eating dinner?Given what we've been eating, you try to walk off dinner or at least burn some of it off. We talked about a place that our local friend had never tried so I played tour guide and brought here to show her the late night loco moco place upstairs. I gifted to my fellow jerky aficionado, one who preferred types that were easier on her teeth. I waited about six weeks after getting home before opening my bags. As I started eating these thin, crepe-like strips, I appreciated it more and more. The texture is akin to eating potato chips as I munched while watched the NCAA tournament. This was bold and had a mix of sweetness and saltiness that meshed well. I liked this too though the taste is muted in comparison to the original. I actually finished this bag in one sitting so you know how I felt about eating this.Big thanks to Hiro who handled our purchase and explained the background of their business. I appreciated that he offered the Kamaina discount as luckily our local friend reminded us about it. I enjoyed this so much that I will likely be asking soon-to-be visiting friends to buy me a bag or two (or more) to bring home.

Very flavorful! The jerky is kind of in a hole in the wall only because it's down a street. It is worth the walk and right next to poke fix another great find! They have seating outside to chill and munch on your new snacks! I like the punch of flavor smoked pepper gives and the subtle taste of the original. Wafu is more of a teriyaki feel with that subtle Japanese umami taste. The music in the store is so relaxing and the vibe is so friendly and inviting. Highly recommend!

Really unique jerky, more chip like than anything. Must try. My wife hates beef jerky but loved this.

Okay so we stopped by on a random walk around the area because we saw some of our favorite youtube vloggers filming the day before. The owner was super friendly and we ended up buying a bag of jerky.The jerky isn't traditional jerky- it's more like jerky chips.Let me tell you... it is so good! We ended up eating the entire bag on the flight back to California. My husband and I are going to make it tradition to come every time we are in the area!I highly recommend!!!

Soooo dang good very tasty, super crunchy with amazing different flavors, also made on the island as well.

My ex work wife asked me to get three large originals.I got her one a few years back and when she went last year she bought some.I return to buy some but the store was closed, but l remembered they sold it at the Farmers market and the rest you know.The jerky is so good you might bite your fingers off.
