AMAZING! Detailed breakdown below:Tried a breakfast empanada at the farmer's market and it was delicious. The crispy crust, piping hot filling, and arguably the best part -- the fresh and tangy chimichurri -- I could have this every day! It was a smidge pricey at $5 for a single empanada, but it gives you the opportunity to meander and also try other stalls at the market.

At the Honolulu Farmers Market on a Wednesday evening. If you're in the mood for some empanadas, Papi's Empanadas is your place! They have lots of different kinds to choose from. I tried a Lobster empanada and also a Beef empanada. Both tasted great! The workers are friendly and the food tastes great!

Papi's chicken empanadas are wonderful little pockets of deliciousness! I needed a meat dish to bring to a Friendsgiving potluck, and thought EMPANADAS!My ex-sister-in-law who lives on the mainland (affectionately known as my outlaw) married an Argentinean fellow, and learned how to make empanadas. Since moving to Oahu, I've been on the lookout for empanadas. I found my spot.If you haven't tried Argentinian empanadas, you need to go see Papi. Like...right now. Ok, maybe not right now, but whenever they set up shop. Not only is the chicken empanada delicious, their chimichurri is KILLER.

I was walking by this stand at the Honolulu Farmers Market (Wednesdays 4-7p in front of Blaisdell) and wasn't feeling a full meal so paid $5 for a beef empanada. It came with a little cup of green sauce (similar to a chimichurri sauce) on the side. It was bursting with flavor, spice, and juice. The outside was nicely crispy. The sauce was the perfect punch of herbs and garlic and acid. I inhaled it then immediately went back and paid another $5 for the chorizo empanada and $3 for the tastiest alfajores cookie I've ever had. You have to try this place!!!

Happiness does come in small packages. Papi's empanadas are fried little pockets of flavor. We tried the Crab, Chorizo, and Corn. The Crab was filled with a cheesy filling that would also be a good dip. The Corn had bell pepper and onions and was fresh and sweet. The Chorizo had the perfect spice. Find some shade, top everything liberally with their Chimichurri sauce, and wonder why you didn't buy a few more.

Business is located at Honolulu Farmers Market on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. They are located near Ward Ave side of Blaisdell Concert Hall. I asked owner what was the popular flavors for empanadas. He recommended beef, fungi, and lardon. His daughter was helping him. The empanadas were prepared. This is my first time eating empanadas. At home, I cut them open and ate them with the sauce. Batter is thick with little crisp.,

One of my favorite stands at the farmers market. I got 3 empanadas for $13, they came with a strong chimichurri sauce sauce on the side for dipping. Each one was bursting with flavor and they were all so varied which was nice. I tried the beef, chicken and chorizo. I particularly liked the raisins in the chicken one, it was a nice sweet contrast. The crust was super crispy. Overall it was a small but satisfying meal!

Oh yes PAPI, come to mama *drools*LOL.My bff and I visited their popup at the KCC Farmers Market last July, and I remembered really liking it, so it definitely caught my eye when she and my other best friend visited the farmers market again this past Saturday. The empanadas ($20 for 6) were freshly fried, and we got them right away:*lobster: stuffed with real lobster meat, fresh corn, parsley, garlic cream, and scallion. The lobster taste was really strong, which I loved, and it was accentuated by the other fillers.*crab: stuffed with real crab meat, potato, smoked Gouda, Mayo, and onion. Same notes as the lobster here, which was great!*fungi: stuffed with mushroom, mozzarella cheese, sweet onion, and oregano, this was full of flavor.*lamb: stuffed with ground lamb, mint, onion, raisin, and butternut squash. The ground lamb wasn't gamey at all, which I really appreciated.*cochinilla: stuffed with slow roasted pork, jalapeño, cilantro, and pickled onion. Oh my gosh, was that pork super JUICY. AMAZING.*chicken tikka: stuffed with chicken, cauliflower, peas, and masala sauce, this was awesome. In fact, I don't want tikka in its real form anymore because of how well Papi's made their chicken tikka empanada.TLDR; every single empanada was stellar with ingredients in their purest form. The empanadas weren't too oily at all and didn't even need the guasacaca (cilantro green sauce) that was included with the empanadas. My bff also wanted to try their alfajores ($3 each), which was amazing. I really appreciated that Papi's put toasted coconut on the rim in lieu of a powdered sugar topping. IMO, that's what makes theirs better than other alfajores I've had.Papi's is a must-try, I promise. Bet I'll be back when I visit the 'aina again soon!

Dad & daughter duo! We got beef, chicken, corn, cochinilla, and chicken tikka~The chimichuri sauce is sooooooooo good. Perfect with all of them! Thankfully they sell them by the jar. I'd just go ahead and suggest you buy a jar of it because tbh you're gonna want to drink it once you try it.I'd make the trip to every farmer's market just to get a half dozen of these empanadas. Best empanadas on island! They remind me of home in New York. Thank you~
