Palisades Drive Inn

Palisades Drive Inn is a hidden gem that not many know about. If you're not from Pearl City, who would guess that there is a place up in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood? Located in the same lot as the Aloha Gas Station and Fast Stop convenience store. I've been going there since they opened in 2005/2006, and they never disappoint. Very friendly staff and owners. It serves as a place to enjoy a meal at after a day at work, whether by yourself or with co-workers. The atmosphere is a bit of an old school diner experience, which makes it unique.Food items served range from Chicken Katsu, Garlic Chicken, Beef Stew, Burgers (Ham and Cheese Burgers, to Chinese dishes such as Beef Broccoli, and other specials. I'll leave it at this: it's worth the drive up the hill.

Huge fan of good hole in the wall places...and its places as these why I'm a fan. Hands down, BEST chicken wings on the island. Served hot and freshly made, and super crispy and juicy. It's located in a neighborhood area at Palisades in Pearl City, tucked away from the bustle but worth the drive. Generous sized portions. Regular plate comes with 7 pieces of chicken wings, 2 scoops rice and a scoop of Mac salad. Free parking. You won't be disappointed!

After my Grilled Ham and Cheese incident, I had my mind made up that I wasn't going to return but my friend who lives in Pacific Palisades said their BBQ Chicken sandwich and crinkled fries is really good. Since I had to visit my son who lives close to this place, decided to try again and order what she recommended. I ordered 2 sandwiches and a side order of French Fries. My husband and I both thought the sandwich was okay. He said he did try it before and it tasted better the other time. Guess today was an off day. I'm glad I only ordered a side order of French Fries...it's enough for 2 people. I love crinkled fries so I enjoyed this more than the sandwich. Will try the BBQ Chicken sandwich one more time to see if it's a hit or miss.

Hidden in the hills of Palisades is a plate lunch place that has not been touched by COVID prices. My husband and I were so shocked when we saw the cost for the mini and large and the portions are nothing to complain about. Just a classic drive inn that deserves more attention...or maybe not so that we can keep this place a secret. But they really do deserve more foot traffic and attention because of how reliable the food is and I don't want to see another small family-owned business shut down. Really grateful my in-laws and and aunties and uncles showed us this place. Really worth the drive all the way through palisades to get a great lunch or even party platter for your next get-together.

My favorite spot on the island for Mochiko Chicken!I haven't been back here in years as I don't live anywhere near Pearl City, but the two times I've had Mochiko Chicken really impressed me. The mochiko batter was light, crispy, and golden brown. My hubby ordered a bbq chicken plate, and that was tasty too! We noticed tons of takeout orders while we were dining in. We haven't tried anything else since we didn't wanna miss out on that special mochiko chicken. The first time I came here was because I thought Aunty Kalei's Shave Ice was open; the second time was because my hubby and I hiked the Waimano Loop Trail and I thought Mochiko Chicken was the perfect post-hike meal (again, Aunty Kalei's was closed :( ). I imagine no one really knows about Palisades Drive Inn unless they live here or have heard about their amazing Mochiko Chicken. Secret Foodie spot tucked away in the Pear City Palisades area! Food is always delicious regardless of what you choose to order and the portions are more than enough! Also prices are reasonable even considering all the inflations in the food industry! It is always peaceful and quiet in here. Mostly locals who know what they want to eat come here! I ordered and it was finished and ready within 8mins

Attended my niece's baby shower today and my sister catered the food from Palisades Drive inn. The Teri beef was tough and the chicken Katsu was over cooked and you couldn't see the chicken. The bbq chicken was ok and the beef Broccoli was average . On Yelp this establishment has a 4.5 Star rating I was very surprised. I would rate this restaurant average at a 3 star rating . Support local

This place is amazing always good food and delicious. They have been around for a long time it's our go to last minute what to eat lol

Went with my adult daughter since she was running an errand in Pacific Palisades. Chicken katsu plate was amazing plus enough for at least two meals. Was so good that I convinced my husband to go there for dinner a couple of days later. He had the roast pork with gravy. He said it was very good, too.Ate outside at one of three tables. Nothing fancy but was clean @ comfortable.Both times the counter person was very nice.
