Palazzo Ristorante Italiano

Went for lunch today. There was a single guy doing everything. The greeting/hosting, waiting/serving. Impressed of how he blazed through the room with grace and speed. Not missing anything. Took our order off his memory. Quickly returned to us with water and STEAMING hot PERFECT bread...nice crunch on the outside, suuuper soft in the inside. Food was omgeeee delicious! I had the chicken Marsala...the best I've ever had...my daughter opted for the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and my sister got the eggplant parm. Everyone at our table was happy. Food was so satisfying (also nice portions). All the while, the one guy (I think I remember seeing "Loc" on his nametag(?) kept our water glasses filled at all times while STILL paying attention to every single table in there! He was also really good about checking to see if we wanted/needed anything else, without being overwhelming. This guy is amazing at what he does! Definitely returning to try other dishes and to experience more of the outstanding service!!

On the hunt for best Italian in Aiea, and honestly Palazzo might be it. Palazzo is a no frills, hole in the wall mom & pop shop that you really want to support, especially when the food is delish and service is on point. I called to make a 6:30pm reservation on a weekday, which probably wasn't necessary until about 7ish when more parties filled the restaurant.For food, we ordered the fried mozzarella, chicken marsala, and special of the night which was scallop & shrimp Florentine. First, softened butter and a basket of hot bread was dropped off at our table. The bread had a crispy crust and soft interior, and it was hottt with steam which I loved. The fried mozzarella comes out as a fried block of cheese and a serrated knife for you to slice it however you want. The cheese was super gooey, the coating was wonderfully crispy and well seasoned, and the marinara sauce complemented it so well. On to the sides, the chicken marsala had a distinct marsala wine flavor and the chicken had a delicious crust on it. The special of the night was on a white board at the entrance, described as "jumbo shrimp and sea scallop sautéed with garlic, olive oil, mushroom, bacon, spinach in a white wine butter sauce over linguine pasta ($26.90)". This dish was goooood, super garlicky with a good portion of seafood, bacon, mushrooms and spinach. I did ask for sub fettuccine but it came out with the advertised linguine - no biggie.I have to note that all the dishes came out STEAMING hot, meaning they were being brought out the second cooked. The servers were hustling table to table. Water was constantly refilled. Oh also the crushed red pepper was spicy, which is always a plus. Parking is ample and free first 2 hours.P.S. We were celebrating a birthday, and without even saying anything (we had a birthday gift bag on a chair), the server brought out an ice cream sundae at the end - so thoughtful and attentive!Will definitely come back!

I lived in Aiea for over 20 years, saw this restaurant all the time, never made it a point to try it. Then I was gifted with a gift card 2 years ago & realized it was about to expire. Stopped by & boy I did t know what I'd been missing out on! Cute & quaint place with a variety of 2 or 4 seat tables. There's roughly 20 from what I seen. Greeted immediately & seated. 5-7 mins after reviewing the menu, we were approached by a sweet gal named Iwalani who would be taking our orders. Fresh, piping hot complimentary bread was dropped off. Escargot & house salads arrived soon after. The escargot sauce is delicious!! Dip the bread in it!! Chunks of garlic & oh so buttery! The house salad serving is just right & the creamy dressing!! Goodness! Fresh clams casino was jam packed with flavor. Meatballs & pasta was plentiful. Meatballs were dense & tasted like they'd been made with ground beef plus Italian sausage. Veal and shrimp special was piled high! We finished with the Chocolate Mousse cake. Service was EXCELLENT by all personnel. Food was FANTASTIC! We will be back to try more when in the neighborhood!

Update on Palazzo ate there for lunch still very good . I had the special of the day Scallops, shrimp , mushrooms, asaparagus w/spinach with white wine sauce with linguine pastaMy sister had their chicken piccata and brother in law had their lasagna all was good .Service always great and so friendly.Support local

Palazzo is just as good as ever. Wanted to comment on the lasagna. Tried it for the first time. Overall, it was delicious. I'm not one for having my food swimming in sauce. The meat sauce, although tasty and well-balanced, it was too much for me. When I finished, I had a boat of sauce left. The bread is still great. I also tried the soup of the day . Crab and corn chowder. Small flakes of crab. with good taste and texture. The service was excellent. Note : This is a two person operation. One cooking and serving.. Be patient, and you will be rewarded with great tasting food. Enjoy

Came here for lunch at noon on a Friday and was really surprised that we were the only ones eating here. We were here for about an hour and nobody ever came to eat here. Maybe just a slow day but I was excited due to all the good reviews!You get to choose whether you'd like a small or a regular size for your pasta dish. We decided to order the carbonara with fettucine and the fresh clam casino as a small. I'm a seafood fan so I was expecting the clam casino was going to be so delicious. Unfortunately, it tasted too fishy for my taste and the carbonara was so much better! The portion size for a small is small enough that you will finish it in one sitting. You won't have any left overs and so for the price, order the regular size for a few extra dollars.

Lots of parking. Ate during lunch time. The restaurant is clean. Food was delicious. Service was great. The server was good with water and kept the bread going. Hubby ate the spaghetti with meatballs. And I ate the clams with vegetables and pasta. The bread was soft and crispy and the butter was soft. We will be back again for lunch.

My husband and I love Italian food but don't eat it often. We have a favorite restaurant located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center but wanted to try other places ordering our favorite dish. We always passed this restaurant when ordering food from next door so today, we decided to finally try the food here. Here's what we had:- Complimentary bread: This was really good. Wanted more but they took the basket and didn't ask if we'd like another one. Oh well...- Sautéed Broccoli $11.90: Think it needed some seasoning...not too much taste.- House Green Salad $6.90: We enjoyed this...love the homemade creamy dressing.Just a note: Thought both the broccoli and salad were pricey for the amount they served. Just went to a restaurant in Waimalu Shopping Center and the amount of food given was double or triple more for about the same price.- Chicken Saltimbocca and Chicken Marsala: Large serving and both were tasty.- Guava Sorbet: It was delicioso...so refreshing!- Tiramisu: This was good but the bottom was a little soggy.FYI: The place is nice and clean, workers were friendly and lots of free parking. They charge $.20 each for takeout containers for your leftovers. So sad...never got charged for this from other restaurants before. They also charge for plastic bags. One more thing...their bill has the tip amounts figured out for your convenience next to the percentage but it's based on your "total" that includes the tax...it should be based on the "subtotal" without the tax.

Still the best Italian restaurant to me. Flavors are awesome and the staff * sigh* the staff are the best.

Although it was still considered the Valentine's Day weekend, the service and food was excellent!The restaurant is very cozy and filled with people eating good food and quiet conversation. There is an ambience that oozes with good company and great food.
