Back like I said I would be! Came during lunch and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of tables to choose from once you order at the counter. They will bring your food to you. Fish again came in huge portions and packed tons of flavor. Love the Cajun rice and the slaw. Can definitely get loud and packed in the restaurant. But I Definitely still recommend!

Pros: Deliciously fresh fish served in generous portions. Cons: Last night must have been Crabby Thursday, as we were unable to find a single employee smiling. Restaurant closes at 10:00, but at 9:20 the vibe was clearly "go somewhere else and let us finish our side work before going home." Outdoor chairs were being stacked and the air was filled with aerosol cleaner sprayed alarmingly close to active diners. Unfortunately not the Island hospitality I was hoping for after being pimped for a 20% tip at the register.

Paia is probably the best place in Waikiki to visit for fish where you get great value in terms of quality and quantity for the price paid. There is usually a line out front, but don't be fooled - it moves quick and is worth the wait. Their portion sizes are huge and the food is fresh, tastes amazing and is relatively inexpensive given its Waikiki and compared to all the other establishments in the area. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish, but I'd say the Tacos are my least favorite dish since they're a premix of Mahi Mahi and Ono; meaning you can't ask for Ono only, Mahi Mahi only, or any other fish. Don't get me wrong - their fish tacos are still amazing, but I just wish I could order Ono only. Other than the food, the ambiance is fine and they do a good job keeping it fairly clean to keep up with the flow of people, and they deliver the food to you fairly quickly once you order. I've come here every time I've visited Waikiki, and will definitely do so again on my next trip visit.

Excellent ahi, friendly and fast staff. You order at the counter and take your number to any table you like. They will bring the food to you. Portions are pretty big. We split ours and still felt full after.

Been to their locations in Maui, which were good. They were a bit busy during brunch hour, but were very efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be served. The restrooms are out in the back. They have signage with the restroom code on their back door.Staff weren't too friendly, but they weren't rude either. They did their job. The blackened ono was a bit overcooked today. The fish and chips were decent, but a bit dry today as well. I thought the calamari stole the show though. They were thick and very delicious.

Fresh catch (mahi) with half Cajun rice and half home potatoes are the way to go. It's a quick meal, but hearty. Would return.

Paia Fish Market is located on Kuhio across the street from Marugame. They are like a popular chain restaurant in California called California Fish Grill, which offers fresh sea food with some sides at a reasonable price in a casual environment. Plates at dinner consist of 8 oz. of fish protein while lunch time comes with 6 oz. When I visited on a weekday evening there was a 20 minute line to get in, followed by a 15 minute line inside. Fortunately after I ordered the food was ready in about 5 minutes.Ono ($26) - The plate options here consisted of ono, snapper, mahi mahi, tuna or salmon. One then chooses how they want the fish prepared, and each plate contains slaw, and a side. I got this prepared cajun style and substituted my side with additional slaw. The fish was slightly sweet and firm in texture and had wonderful Cajun seasoning.Overall, this is a healthy option to try some great tasting fish. Pricing is on the higher side like most things in Hawaii and the long lines are discouraging. It's best to visit during off peak times.

This place is amazing! The seafood is fresh, the staff is friendly, and the portions are huge. It truly is an outstanding place to grab a bite and people watch. Loved this place and will go back every time we're in Waikiki. Decor-3/5 stars. Not much to it really. Lots of windows, cool pictures of the ocean, and wood panelling all around. They have a large patio to people watch and enjoy the tropical weather. Service-3/5 stars. Friendly staff. Food-10/5 stars. Food was amazing. Their Ahi burger is possibly the best burger I've ever tasted. The flavors work perfectly together and the fresh fish is out of this world. The chicken quesadilla was great and huge portion size. We tried several other dishes and they were all amazing. We absolutely love this place and can't wait to back.

I stopped in Paia for a delicious early dinner in Waikiki. If you come here, plan to wait in line a bit to order. After you order and take a seat, your food will be brought to your table. The seafood garden salad was very good! My only suggestion would be to cook the fish to order, each time I ate here I was served fish that was well done. Food is tasty, and reasonably priced!
