we had a great stay, the location is kinda noisy in the day due to the airport. but at night it is extremely quiet. Since it is not very touristy it was a good location. the only downside was the TV almost everything we wanted to watch was an additional charge, but we just enjoyed what we had.

You absolutely can't beat this location. ON THE Beach. Airy cabin, lots of windows...I actually had to get up and close the windows a bit because of the deafening wave sounds when it got rough at night. There are worse sounds you could hear, right? very private, Sandy beach. A little drive further down the road are some cool tide pools and lava rock formations. Gorgeous location. Sure, there's a little rust on the fridge and front door, it's not the Hilton...but no Hilton crowds, screaming children, etc. perfect for couples. Kitchen wasn't very stocked, no spices or condiments, no baking pans, few dishes, etc. we took a trip to the store, bought paper/plastic ware, saved a ton on restaurants. I'd definitely return --we got the orange cabin...perfect for two :)

We rented this place to use as a venue for our wedding, and a group of people attending were able to stay for the weekend in the houses. We were so happy with this location! There's ample daytime parking at the beach park. The White House has an amazing lanai that looks out onto the beach which was filled with turtles while we were there. The beach is great but does have some reef close to shore. Most of our group had some kind of water shoes which worked. There are two caretakers who live on site and helped if we had any questions. Deedee who manages the property was very prompt with communication. The houses aren't fancy but if you're looking for a beautiful place to stay on beach in a less busy part of the island, this is a great place!

I think "retreat" is the perfect name for this spot. If you're looking to get away from the busy part of the island, these quiet cottages with direct beach access are the place to go. This vacation rental is run by a nice couple who manage the property very well. The house was well-stocked for cooking and had extra linens. There were few people at the beach and little traffic in the area. It was helpful to have on site laundry, but make sure to bring quarters. I stayed in the pink one-bedroom cottage with four other people. There was plenty of room and would be suitable for up to about 5 adults. Although there is an airstrip right across the road, the noise from the planes was not bothersome. There were skydivers pretty frequently throughout the day, which was a pleasant addition to relaxing next to the water. I was happy that I stumbled upon this hidden property and truly enjoyed the stay.

This was a gem for the right person/couple. We found it on VRBO and it is not your average vacation rental. We rented the "Orange Cottage" which was one of about 4 cottages in the complex. The property overall, though nicely kept, shows signs of age and wear and tear. The Orange Cottage was a bedroom, bathroom , kitchen and porch. The location, literally hanging right over the beach, was amazing, The mattress was new modern and high quality. Water pressure was good, full size refrigerator, no disposal or dishwasher (not a problem for us). There wasn't any place to hang any clothes and hardly room for suitcases (we used the small bistro-style table for that which wasn't an issue since we ate outside or off property the whole time. There are two nice grills on site for community use. We appeared to be the only residents during our stay. It is right across the street from Dillingham air strip (where they sky dive so some plane noises) and apparently a famous place for kite surfing- we were treated to a display each afternoon.Good hiking (Kealia trail right near by) and lovely little Farmers market nearby at the Waialua Sugar Mill on Saturday morning. Great produce and a nice shop selling local products (highlighting coffee and chocolate)We really enjoyed our brief stay all-around.
