Our Kakaʻako

Super dog friendly all the restaurants you can bring your dogs into. So many different restaurants to choose from. Indoor and outdoor seating. They have events all the time. They have park in the park twice a year. It's a great place for lunch with the girls, date night with your loved one. And a place for you to bring your dogs and meet other doggies.

I came here for one of multiple Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival events on O'ahu the first week of November. The event was entitled Raw and Wild because of the style of dishes available. The event cost $90, and included unlimited alcohol.They had food from well known Nico's Pier 38, Koko Head Café, and King's Hawaiian. However, my fave dish was the pork belly from Michelin Star, ' Aina in SF. I believe chef Jordan Kaeo from Hilo was present.Nonetheless, all of the other offerings were as advertised: "Raw and Wild". The raw items were so fresh, and the combo of ingredients were well thought out by each chef. The only offering that did not please my palate was the Sea-Soned Popokune. It wasn't a bad item, the taste simply wasn't to my liking.Regarding the ambiance, it was in a courtyard adjacent to a parking garage by SALT by Kaka'ako. There were plenty of nice people, and the crowd was chill. The only room for improvement would have been more trash cans, more stand up tables to congregate, and more places to sit.All in all a very pleasant experience. This event would have been 5 Stars with the major tweaks I mentioned. I think I'm going to make the HFWF every year from now on.

It is nice to see Kaka'ako getting more bustling up. People walking around, peeps playing ball in the park courts. People returning to restaurants and bars in the area. One cool thing to try out in Kaka'ako area is to roll around slowly in the neighborhood and check out the art work.
