Ono Steak & Shrimp 2

Ordered the Korean Chicken Plate, tastes pretty good overall. However, the price to quantity ratio is whack.You pay $14.50 for the cheapest meat on their menu and you get thin sliced up maybe 1 or 1-1/2 chicken thigh amount of meat on a thick bed of rice. Will change review when quantity is increased in the future.

Took the new Honolulu Skyline from the Stadium to Waipahu to check it out since it's new and free this weekend. We were going to Seafood City but saw Ono Steak & Shrimp 2 and wanted to try it out for lunch. My wife and I shared the 12oz steak & Shrimp and was very happy with our order. The order was really good, the steak was cooked medium as requested and was seasoned perfectly and tender & juicy. The shrimp was really good and just enough for the both of us. The plate lunch came with rice and salad as well and it was enough for two people.Leona helped us out and she was awesome and very friendly and helpful and it was nice to talk story with her. Her husband was doing the cooking and dude was working his tail off. The kitchen was hot and orders kept coming and he kept the food flowing, great job. I really appreciated the professionalism and outstanding service from this sweet couple. I'll definitely return for some tasty grinds.

Having tried the kapolei location, i found out they had a location a little closer so i decided to try. Similar setup as kapolei, big tv playing movies or sports, tables and chairs to dine in, nothing spectacular. The cashier was cool and so was the cook. My only issue is that the portions seemed way off from the last time i tried it a week or 2 ago. Now, I'm not trying to bash anyone, it tasted good, but compared to what i had before. Probably stick to the kapolei location.

We ordered take out on Sunday for a late lunch. We ordered the steak plate and the garlic shrimp plate. When I got home we opened up the plates and we got one steak plate. We ordered medium rare but got medium. It was a little overcooked but the flavor was good. We would get the steak plate again. The garlic shrimp plate was just rice and salad...what a bummer to get home and open the plate. I called the restaurant and spoke to a young woman and she explained that she wasn't there and she is correct that she was not the person that took my order or ring me up. She asked if I would drive back to pick it up and I explained that I was already at home and didn't want to drive all the way back. I asked if they would deliver the shrimp to us and she said that they don't do that. I simply asked for a refund and she had to contact her manager or the owner. I provided my number and so far I'm waiting for the manager or owner to contact me.

Great place to grab a quick bite of steak and shrimp with rice and salad. I think they have fish too. a great crew, they cook the steak just the way you want it, and plenty of sauces.I just wish they'd bring the music back. For everyone involved I don't know why they don't have music there. More Music = More Happy = Better BusinessOr crank up the TV. It's not a library is it.

A little on the expensive side, but you get plenty of food and the food is good! I fell in love with the noodles. They came as a side with my boyfriend's order, I tried it and wanted more, so he ordered a large which I couldn't finish, so it went home with us for later. I ordered the fish plate which came with probably a 12 oz piece of fish! I wanted to eat all of it, but knew I shouldn't; it had a soy marinade flavor. With rice, it was so satisfying. I didn't eat the salad. The noodles had that high-temperature flavor you expect from good stir-fry. The veggies were just the right tenderness. Delicious! The inside has a bit of an industrial feel. I think the owner works the grill. She was very friendly and helpful. There was limited seating inside, but I imagine most people get take-out.

Food is on point! Service is friendly need lower chairs that are friendly for all sizes and heighten but overall all is great!

Bought 2 14oz steak plate, we got maybe 14oz of steak between the two of us, they definitely shorted us big time. The steak quality was fine but lacked flavor. There was also a hair in our food. I will not be going back.

This was my normal go to for take out on steaks/ shrimp plates. We ordered about 10 plates for takeout. Saw the person working there picking pieces of steak meat out of the takeout orders and eating them with his fingers before he closed the container. I told him that was a health issue and against the department of health. He just laughed and said he didn't take out any meat from my order.When we got home and opened our takeout container.. the steak was good but the amount of meat was inconsistent with the other takeout that we ordered. I just couldn't stop thinking about the worker using his fingers and picking out random pieces of meat from the containers!!
