Their poke "walks the talk". It's hard to live up to hype but Ono Seafood tries to do it every day.

We did the hanauma bay snorkeling and lighthouse hike and were super hungry. This spicy salmon poke hit the spot. It was delicious, the fish was fresh and flavorful and the rice was warm. I did it with the furikake or seaweed flakes on it. The service was quick and they were really nice at the cashier. It was a standing business where you order at the window and they have your food out in about 5-10 mins. Some seating around just meant to be a quick bite. We ate in our car and people watched. Great place for some poke and wish we had one back on the mainland :)

Oops can't believe I never reviewed this place yet - one of my top faves for poke, this place is situated in kalama valley shopping centerEvery time I come here, the poke is always fresh! I usually get it with white rice and the rice is very hot, so it is best to eat the bowl as soon as you get it so it doesn't cook your ahi :)While this location doesn't give a free drink with your bowl (like their kapahulu location), the fish is still fresh and their poke bowls never disappoint.Service may sometimes be slow, so I definitely recommend calling your order in ahead. My favorite order is a two-choice bowl with spicy ahi and their Hawaiian style poke (their shoyu ahi is another favorite )Also, there's a park a little down the road that you can enjoy your food and, if you have kids, let them run around (hopefully leaving you a few minutes to eat in peace lol)

Good tasting sushi. Two seafood options - octopus and tuna, done various ways. In a strip mall so order at the window for seating on picnic tables outside. We were there at noon and there was no line/wait.

Ono Seafood Hawaii is the GOAT poke spot in Oahu!!! No ifs, ands, or buts about it!My wife and I have been to Ono's twice before: once at their Honolulu location and once at this location on East Shore. We like this East Shore location better as it's not nearly as hectic. The Honolulu location is their OG spot, but parking is extremely limited and is always mobbed by tourists. This East Shore location is much more relaxing and open, with plenty of parking and situated in a strip mall in a somewhat suburban area.My wife and I arrived on a Saturday afternoon after a few hours at Waimanalo Beach. We decided to split a Large #7 (spicy ahi bowl) with brown rice. We weren't starving, but needed a snack before the drive back to our hotel in Waikiki. The total came out to about $17, which isn't bad in today's economy. Our order was ready relatively quickly, and was absolutely DELICIOUS. Just as we'd remembered! Spicy ahi poke has always been my favorite, but something about Ono's poke just 'hits' different. It's almost as if their poke melts in your mouth! Ono's poke tastes extremely fresh and portions are generous. As other Yelpers have commented, Ono's has perfected the sauce-to-poke ratio as well. Meaning not dry, but also not ridiculously smothered in sauce (a mistake I find a lot of poke places make). So you're getting perfect with every bite!Be aware that seating is limited here. This isn't a real "restaurant" per say and more somewhere you go to order food. There are a few benches, tables, and chairs out front, but they can get filled up fast.Although eating in a parking lot may not sound ideal, the calming breeze of the nearby ocean makes this experience extremely pleasurable. There's something very relaxing about this location! Thus, I HIGHLY recommend Ono Seafood Hawaii. If you're doing anything in East Shore, definitely stop by for the best poke on the island!

We tried five different poke spots in Honolulu. This one was the best! My bf and I shared this spicy salmon & shoyu ahi combo bowl. The fish was sooo fresh!! Perfect seasoning. The rice was also perfectly cooked :) Their strawberry guava gelato is just ok. Nice if you're craving something sweet afterward, but not mind-blowing. Can't wait to go back to Hawaii again for this

Family loves it here. We've been going for years. Amazing poke, arguably best on-island (only rivals with Foodland). Good portions, little pricey but pretty average. Also have gelato if you want another sweet fix . If you're on the east side looking for poke, go Onos!

Coming from someone who's only had poke in LA and Sea this was on another level of freshness. Loved how the fish was cut up in bigger chunks and the sauce was tangy and delicious. It doesn't even compare. I'm not going to enjoy poke at home anymore this place ruined it for me. Can't wait to travel here again and stop by. Food: 9.5/10Service: 9/10Ambience: 6.7/10 (outdoors and sunny. Goes with all of the island)

Maybe more of a 4.5/5The ahi is really fresh, nice big chunks of fish with a good bite. I like that they give you the option to add on toppings, whether it be rice furitake or tempura. This location is really close to some attractions in Honolulu (like koko head, hanauma bay, and makapupu lighthouse) so I recommend checking it out if you're in the area! There are tables outdoors to dine on and the mountainous backdrop is immaculate.

You can never go wrong with poke bowl from ono seafood. Although service was okay, the poke bowl is never a let down. Atmosphere here was very calm and your able to eat outside on there tables. Plus they have a lot of parking. Price may be very steep for some but you definitely get what you pay for. Feel free to stop on by if in the area I'm sure this place won't let you down if in the mood for poke bowls.
