We got some steam porkhash (siu mai) and deep-fried porkhash from Da Porkhash Man. Both were delicious! My wife and I preferred the steamed ones better. Again, both were very good. The filling is seasoned very well. It doesn't need any sauce but the Thai sweet chili was good on the fried porkhash.

We wanted to check this place out as we had friends who live in Hawaii recommend it and also seen it on social media. Vendors are only here on Thursdays from 4pm - 8pm. There is a parking lot available and it's free. We arrived at about 6:30 and it was crowded, but there wasn't too long of a wait for most food booths. I was expecting food to be overpriced, but the prices seemed fair. There were a lot of food vendors that we wanted to try but couldn't get to them all. There is also a large grass area where you can bring your chairs to sit and eat. If you don't bring a chair, they provide mats you can borrow to sit on the ground at no charge. This is a great place to sample food from popular local food trucks and restaurants in one place. Definitely coming back.

The Ono Grindz & Makeke Farmers Market is located on the asphalt of Wai Kai. Starting at 4pm, this place is a jam packed spot with ono food options from across the world, vendors, music, and amazing vibes. This Farmers Market has gained popularity for the past few months making it so difficult to find parking even before 4pm. It is common for people to park on the street and walk over. Lines are constantly long, and it is really hard to get around. Everyone is shoulder to shoulder. With that being said, as much as I love the good and diverse of the food there, it is just too much waiting and too many people. My advice if I were to give any is to allow for more space in between each vendor.

Today is the opening of Ono Grindz & Makeke new farmers market at Wai Kai in Ewa Beach. I am so excited that there's a farmers market that I can walk to from my house (unless I'm buying a lot of stuff that I cannot carry in a backpack and need my car)! The market is located in an area that looks like they built especially for food trucks/events just outside of the Wai Kai water park. There are a bunch of food vendors, produce vendors, people selling jewelry, clothes, and other gift items, and my new favorite florist, Pollen Flowers Hawaii. If you see a giveaway promo on Instagram for Ono Grindz, by all means, enter it. I did & won! When I went to pick up my "market bucks" from the folks who run the market, they were getting dinner, so of course I asked where they got their food: IYKYK 808 Grindz. They showed me what they ordered & I was sold! (Review coming soon). There's a huge parking lot, and tons of grassy area around, so bring a blanket and have a picnic! There is even live music. I even saw a portable restroom structure (not porta potties) nearby. I can't wait to start making this my weekly walking destination to pick up dinner and produce! I went early today, but I'm pretty sure it'll be a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset in the waterfront area. I love that this place is tucked away right in my backyard!

Awesome farmers market! They have a lot of food and craft vendors. My family & I went to check it out one Thursday night. The market is open from 4-8pm I believe. There's even live music and you can sit on the lawn area while you eat. We specifically enjoyed the food from the Chubby Fries & Wings vendor. Their wings and loaded fries are a must! Everyone was so nice and friendly! Will definitely try their delicious chicken wings and fries again!

Loved the variety of food and desserts. Loved the entertainment and relaxing on the lawn (mats provided). The last time we went was May 23,2024, when we witnessed a German shepherd maul a tiny pup. Even after that, they advertised a dog-friendly environment. Until that changes, we won't be back.
