One Fine Day

Lucky for my husband and I, our wedding day couldn't have gone ANY better (or more smoothly!!) ! Much of that is courtesy of our coordinators, Maile and Tammy, of One Fine Day.From day one, they were flexible, accommodating and reassuring. A bride couldn't ask for any more, seriously!! They worked with me to customize a package to fit my needs, and priced it accordingly. Planning a wedding from 3,600 miles away is no easy task!! But it was made a lot simpler having their recommendations, opinions, organization and help.Maile made herself available to me anytime I need her. A random call with a quick question, a barrage of emails full of contracts, setting up an appointment to meet with them while we were in Honolulu... She made time for everything and responded to me within minutes most of the time. They made top-notch recommendations to me, and yet still helped me work within a budget. Her help with keeping track of who we've paid, how much, when the final payment is due, tipping guidelines, program, time line and contracts were all priceless to someone like me. On the day of, they took care of ALL the 'behind the scenes' stuff. Setting up, decorating, directing the florist, helping the caterers, gathering guests, getting me ready, keeping us on schedule, accepting the delivery of the cake, etc. All I had to do was enjoy being a bride!! I've heard horror stories from so many people about how they didn't get to eat any of their food, or have any cocktails because they were running around like crazy. Not us, hahaha. We ate our appetizers (a whole platter!), our dinner and of course our dessert, drank to our hearts content, danced, socialized, and really got to ENJOY our wedding day. Looking back, we are so thankful for that. I felt they really went out of their way to make sure I felt taken care of. Much thanks and appreciation to these two ladies. I'm sure they've made many happy brides and beautiful weddings!!!

All of our vendors were paid the day of the wedding, all of our flowers were moved from ceremony to reception, everything was cleaned up and returned to the appropriate vendors. They all magically happened without me even waving my wand. The magic of a perfect smooth day was possible due to the help of Maile and Tammy at One Fine Day. We got the Day-of Service but Maile and I started working on the wedding about a month prior. She made vendor recommendations, kept track of my contracts, contacted all the vendors and even helped us pull tissue pompoms the day of the wedding. She also made a meticulous wedding itinerary and vendor contact sheet. The day before the wedding, my mother-in-law mentioned having a Tea Ceremony, which was not planned. I frantically called Maile and she told me she was going to take care of everything. Did I also mention that I was planning this wedding from Seattle and I am super controlling? Maile handled all the details and my 'special personality' perfectly. My number one advice for brides who are planning a destination wedding is to hire a planner. If you are getting married in Oahu, then One Fine Day should be one of the first people you need to call.
