What an awesome family run business. They have hundreds, if not thousands of affordably priced and very unique orchids to choose from - many of which I cannot purchase back home in CA. The woman working there walking around with us and took lots of time helping us find the more rare and unique varieties and colors I was interested in, and gave us very helpful transport and care instructions. She let me know I could pay a lesser cost to carry them back by hand or in my carry-on hassle-free, which was definitely the case! We got 4 small/medium orchids for $80, all of which are extremely rare and unique. Couldn't have been happier with our experience and purchase

Such a special place. We live on the North Shore and we gladly drive to the other side of the island to buy plants from this great local business. Truly a great place with great people. If you're from here, give this business your money. Great ohana-based business. If you're visiting...their orchids make lasting, beautiful gifts from our island.

Thank you for making my home beautiful and happy! Love fresh flowers and plants. Peter and staff are hard working and do an awesome job with their beautiful orchids. I go visit Olomana Orchids every few months and pickup my house plant. Love the selection of orchids. The orchid farm is in a beautiful area. Enjoy the scenery also. Also great place to get orchids to decorate your special occasions. My friend used their orchids as centerpieces for their wedding. Very good idea and great gifts!

Whenever I have visitors to the Islands, Olomana Orchids is one of the requisite stops along the way up around the East side to the North Shore. The reason why has mostly to do with the family that runs Olomana Orchids, and their philosophy and subtle passion for the art of the love of Orchids.Orchids are among the most difficult of flowers to care for. And their needs change, depending on the individual strain of Orchid. Much like the care and love of women for men, the love and tending of Orchids is a thing that requires understanding, care, love, affection, and a willingness to not choose the easy thing; but instead to dedicate oneself to a pursuit that may be difficult and challenging to understand and implement, but ultimately rewards. In the case of Orchids, it is a beautiful, sustainable bloom that can last a lifetime. In the case of women, it is a beautiful, sustainable, bloom that can last a lifetime.I will be honest, and say that I do not understand women, and I do not understand orchids, but I strive to understand both, and to love both for the curious, individual beauty that both possess. And the owner of Olomana Orchids, while he may not be able to advise me on women, possesses an incredible wealth of knowledge that he is more than happy to share about Orchids. My (now-ex) fiancee and I visited Olomana Orchids a few weeks ago, and were treated to not only exceptional service, but were provided with above-and-beyond education on the various kinds of orchids, and the care and love of them. It fascinates me, how some are so hardy and easy to tend to, and yet are so beautiful; on the other hand, how some are so rare and so difficult as a diamond in the rough, yet are so incomprehensibly beautiful that my breath was taken away at their beauty, much as a woman's. These at Olomana Orchids are often unique, bred to be their own, individual, that you can only find here. Cared for and raised individually, perhaps just for you.It is in my opinion that if you, as a man, can care for and love and raise and orchid to success, you are one step closer to learning how to learn and understand and respect the things that make a woman unique, herself, and how to love her and care for her.Anyway.I bring my visitors here because the owners are extremely helpful. There is a display room where you can view what they have; and they have a growing area that you have access to also, where you can see what is actually going on. I have never met anyone who understands and has the kind of passion for orchids that I can identify with, and the owners will take the time to educate and help you select the orchids that are right for what you want. The other thing I have always really admired is that like a good friend when it comes to relationships, they won't let you buy an orchid that is "junk", meaning, they won't let you buy an orchid which looks good at the moment, but will quickly degrade and not last. I've uploaded almost two dozen sample photos here. Please take a look at them yourself.Prices are very reasonable also. We were able to buy for as inexpensively as $7, and depending on how you want it packed and shipped, will be similarly affordable (they do fully certified shipping to the mainland US). The owners are also very honest, and will tell you which ones are worth buying and which ones are not. They will teach you about how to observe the stems and roots, and the mistakes people make in looking at how the current bloom is, instead of how the history of the stems are, and about the buds. We trusted his advice, and today, even though she and I are no longer together, I have an incredibly beautiful bloom of orchids planted in my backyard that I tend to, as beautiful as Olomana Orchids promised, growing and flourishing as predicted and advised, for only $7 dollars.Look for Olomana Orchids on the way to Kualoa. Left side of the road if you're heading north. Right side if you're heading south. They are worth a stop, especially if you are a visitor, or taking visitors on a tour of our islands to show them a unique experience that they can take home with them.Orchids are a labor of love. A labor of love that most often is worth the effort. Learn to love and care for an orchid, and you will be able to take the first step toward learning how to love and care for a woman. She, like an orchid, is delicate yet strong. Beautiful, but if you don't care for it, will cease to bloom. And if you take care of it right, will be a reward in itself.Stop by if you are on your North Shore drive/ tour. Talk to the owner. It will be worth it, and you may even come away with something beautiful that you can grow for a lifetime.

The owner helped me pick out an orchid for myself and my mother right before Mother's Day weekend. He saw the ones I picked out and recommended another one that was budding but not blooming yet. I'm so glad I took his advice. My orchid has been blooming for weeks and is gorgeous!!!

I ordered the small holiday gift basket on a Tuesday to ship to Las Vegas. The beautiful basket of orchid plants arrived on Thursday (yes Fed-Ex 2 days!!) just in time for my Dads surprise birthday party. They packaged the plant so well that even though the temperatures in Vegas were in the 100s it did not affect the plants at all. My Dad loved the gift basket & I am so happy I decided to order from Olomana Orchids - I will always recommend them to everyone!!

We noticed this spot while driving for a bit and thought it would be nice to get my mom a gift from here (she loves orchids). We noticed that we were only a couple minutes from closing, so we called and asked if it's ok to come up; once they heard it was for a Christmas gift, they were all for it. We looked around for a couple of minutes before one of the employees asked us who we were shopping for. When I explained that my mom loves orchids, she said that she had just the one--we were lead towards the back in an employee only area and found a beautiful orchid like none I had ever seen before. They gift wrapped it and talked to us about the species and how to care for it, and even threw in some free extra plants! Such a fantastic little spot with an amazing selection and better staff.

I was looking for a place to order online during lockdown and was fortunate enough to find Olomana Orchids. They are so kind, helpful and knowledgeable! They even looked for orchids with two flowering spikes for me! The orchids were shipped to me and when they arrived I was so impressed with how well they were packed. All of the flowers were beautiful and the plants were very healthy. I highly recommend Olomana Orchids if you are looking for some flowers to brighten your home or as a gift! My flowers lasted for three months!!!
